    Awesome video! I saw in the comments that you mentioned that you waterproofed your scooter. I was wondering how you did that and what you used to waterproof it?

      @@zeezeefive rubber sealant but I would recommend keeping it out of heavy rain or your battery will start shutting off before the cutoff voltage

      Oh okay, I have a Teewing Mars XTR so it’s a bit more water resistant than the X5 but would still like to waterproof the areas on it where water could potentially enter. What are the main areas that you really focus on waterproofing the most?

      @@zeezeefive you can coat the whole deck with rubber sealant if you want but the bearings on your hub motors is what you should be worried about. Got a plan on how to replace those once they start grinding?

    • @zeezeefive
      @zeezeefive 2 месяца назад

      Teewing on their website says that the bearings on the XTR are sealed but just to be safe I could put rubber sealant around them from the outside and that would protect them from getting water in them and grinding? Every once and awhile I do spray white lithium grease on the bearings.

      @ Teewing is Chinese company, they will only send you so much in replacement parts.
      Do not spray anything in your hub motors
      The centrifugal forces placed on the bearing combined with bumpy off road terrain or potholes will accelerate the deterioration of the main axle bearing.
      If you were to spray lube into the hub motor cover plates, it would only only hit the bearing set into the cover plates on each side
      It spins due to electro motive electromagnetic induction and all that centrifugal force is placed directly on the axle bearing
      Hope you bought a 3rd party extended warranty
      or just don’t off-road it super hard and hit a bunch of potholes
      But it would be way better if u have a extended warranty

      @@Cowhead7 I’m honestly not too sure of the top speed. Speedo says 99 kmh. GPS says 50 mph. Police said 59 mph.
      I think pretty much all the most common electric scooters are going to top out around there.
      Maybe your locked controller is limiting speed or your speedo is just slow.
      I forgot to look inside for a limiter wire before I waterproofed it again. Next time I’ll look.
      I could probably go like 70-80 mph on this thing
