I FOUND A HOMELESS SHACK IN THE DIRTY SOUTH
I gotta say that t wing t88 is not bad but you gotta catch up my scooter has 2063 miles on it
lol I will probably have a failing wheel bearing by 2k miles and have to text the after sales department for a replacement. That’s why the next thing I get is going to be chain driven. Kinda trying to take care of this one and use it a lot less harshly
Your dogs cute cute
Nice scooter do you gotta seat to sit on??? The plastic bin and pillow provides only so much comfort
@@snoopysrc yeah I have the brand new bicycle seat that came with the scooter but the storage box is wayyy more convenient for cargo
How the scooter been doing
@ good I’m treating it gently and keeping it out of the rain and water this time so hopefully I don’t burn through the hub motors so fast. Next thing I get is gonna be chain driven
@TheShiningOne19 o ok I think I am going get one like yours
Your dog is really well behaved and calm
Very nice my friend Can you please put the camera in a better position ❤
Algorithm gods doing you a solid
Is All About The 🐶 POWER🏆
How's the battery life on that scooter does last a while??
@@snoopysrc the battery life and top speed are good but I’m replacing the hub motors every 1-2 months. I think a mid drive razor mx650 would last longer for the kinda of abuse I put on it and the more powerful aftermarket motors bolt right on. Teewing gave me 4 free hub motors now they want me to buy them for 269 a piece. That’s not bad if you want top speed and battery life more than anything, in the cold winter I’m getting probably 35-40 miles off a full charge, I haven’t charged it since my my ast two videos and and gonna ride it once more today before charging. idk I’m trying to take care of this one and keep it out of the rain and water. That last video I rode the basket scooter in the snow pre maturely killed the bearing after a month of everyday use about ~800 miles. The most I got out of a hub motor might have been around 1500 miles. I went through two rear motors before the front wheel bearing started grinding. Idk once the bearing seizes it’s really hard to get out, idk if it friction welded or something Overall for longevity I would recommend a modded razor mx650 but it’s not going to have the same range or top speed until you upgrade it. Maybe the tuttio soleil would be good but the bigger mid drive motors don’t bolt directly on the rear swing arm like the razor bikes do I got another Teewing x5 because a battery is like half the cost of the scooter $700 and it’s a pretty slim battery for 38ah. Maybe eventually I’ll try to use the old one on something else. It would be great if I could figure out how to put in new wheel bearings in. I like the idea of one of those small slow scooters with a big battery for a ridiculous amount of range I’m kinda still experimenting but I know for a fact mid drive motors will last longer
Like your scooter i might get that one
Cute puppy 😊
did you seat on top of your dog?
Stay safe my friend🎉
The tifgalop t88pluse look just like this one do u think they are the same
@@kennylacks8634 it is the same with small cosmetic differences. Thinking about getting an electric pit bike frame to eventually upgrade, the tuttio soleil
@TheShiningOne19 o ok so would you go with what u got or the tifgalop k8
@ I never had a k8, but I know the k8 weight capacity is 100lbs more and the k8 lights are always on and the lights shine through plastic paneling so idk how the acrylic panels fare durability wise. And after the warranty you’ll still have to buy new hub motors every ~2000 ish miles to replace the bearing when they go out. You do get a good 60v38ah battery tho. With a modded tuttio soleil you have to buy a bigger battery to get decent range and you could upgrade to a bigger mid drive motor for more power. Teewing after sales service is pretty good. I got 4 hub motors for free under the warranty before they told me I have to buy them from now on for $269 per hub motor I’m sure tifgalop would probably have a similar after sales department but idk I never had to deal with them. Maybe there’s a way to replace the wheel bearings myself but I haven’t figure out how to do that yet or where to buy the bearings from

Cute dogo😊
How do you like that scooter thinking about getting one
I like it and the replacement parts are cheap. The wheel bearings do eventually need replacing. Teewing sent me 4 replacement hub motors before telling me I have to buy them. I need a controller too. $45 for a controller & $269 for a hub motor.
@HARDCORE_REVY ok my weight about 280 I hope it will pull me good I going get that one or the tifgalop k8
@ k8 is a solid choice, I like the rear dual coil shocks, either will pull you good. I know all the different tires u can buy have different max weight loads but I don’t think you will have any problems running whichever. Amazon also has 72v e-scoots but u gotta pay shipping fyi
@HARDCORE_REVY ok thanks how fast yours go

Have you tried to ask Teewing to honor a replacement battery? Losing half your battery life in this short of time seems like something is wrong. From everything I have read you should get a lot more out of it.
@@beachzonejohn21 no when doing a motor swap I accidentally put a glass of water on the LDI sticker and they flat out refused to replace it. Gave me a really hard time about it too.
@ that sucks. What was the motor swap about? Did you have to do some aftermarket modifications due to something being wrong or were you just trying to get more out of the scooter yourself?
@ was swiping on my phone not paying attention and ran both wheels over a curb and damaged the rear hub motor bearing. On average for me those bearings only last like 1500-2k miles. Ive gotten 4 replacements from Teewing but now they want me to buy the replacement parts direct from them. $269 for a hub motor, $45 for a controller, $700 for a battery. Theoretically you could keep a frame running for years if you kept buying cheap replacement parts.
@@TheShiningOne19 damn I ordered one and it’s on the way but you are making me have regrets lol. I guess nothing electric lasts forever but I was hoping to get a couple years out of it before thinking about replacing motors and batteries
@ you won’t regret it. Owning it is a good learning experience. My battery actually caught fire but it ran out of oxygen inside the sealed deck so it didn’t completely burn, that’s why I swore up and down at Teewing that no water ever entered the battery compartment. It burnt a cell out trying to charge to the max voltage, usually I unplug it when it takes too long to auto shut off the charger but I fell asleep. Sucks the hub motors don’t last forever but the replaceability of the parts is far cost effective than any other motorcycle. Pretty sure I would blow up a whole small motorcycle just as fast. It’s kinda worth it just to have a relationship with the Teewing parts distributer, it’s really cool u can buy cheap parts. All you need is a frame Anyway, I’ve already learned this machine inside and out. Any problems, just ask.
One place I never want to see again.

@@garyschenck6271 the frame is the same as the Yume Y10. It’s a good frame with fork suspension, no speed wobbles. This is the Teewing X5
Teewing has a really good aftersales parts department, idk about yume. You could keep buying parts direct from them and keep your frame running for years
Yo man I see a caution symbol on my bike. Its a red triangle 🔺. Does that mean I have to check the engine or battery?

Awesome video! I saw in the comments that you mentioned that you waterproofed your scooter. I was wondering how you did that and what you used to waterproof it?
@@zeezeefive rubber sealant but I would recommend keeping it out of heavy rain or your battery will start shutting off before the cutoff voltage
Oh okay, I have a Teewing Mars XTR so it’s a bit more water resistant than the X5 but would still like to waterproof the areas on it where water could potentially enter. What are the main areas that you really focus on waterproofing the most?
@@zeezeefive you can coat the whole deck with rubber sealant if you want but the bearings on your hub motors is what you should be worried about. Got a plan on how to replace those once they start grinding?
Teewing on their website says that the bearings on the XTR are sealed but just to be safe I could put rubber sealant around them from the outside and that would protect them from getting water in them and grinding? Every once and awhile I do spray white lithium grease on the bearings.
@ Teewing is Chinese company, they will only send you so much in replacement parts. Do not spray anything in your hub motors The centrifugal forces placed on the bearing combined with bumpy off road terrain or potholes will accelerate the deterioration of the main axle bearing. If you were to spray lube into the hub motor cover plates, it would only only hit the bearing set into the cover plates on each side It spins due to electro motive electromagnetic induction and all that centrifugal force is placed directly on the axle bearing Hope you bought a 3rd party extended warranty or just don’t off-road it super hard and hit a bunch of potholes But it would be way better if u have a extended warranty
I live in Leesville
Is it a stable ride gunna but my husband one for Christmas

Do you ever get nervous of speed wobble? Or is that not very common with this scooter
@@andrewagape9244 I bought a steering damper I never needed to put on. Speed wobbles is scary because it tries to slam the scooter on its side. I speed wobbled twice once standing up on new tires and once when hitting a wet patch of highway from a sprinkler running downhill across the highway, I had to put both feet flat on the pavement and skate across on my boots while sitting down with the handlebars jerking from side to side in my hands until I cleared the section of wet pavement
What is the scooter your riding i top out at 60mph on a 6000w 35amp scooter.
Teewing x5. Speedo tops out at 99 kmh
Dang you got over 2500 miles clocked already! You are a legit scooter rider 👍
@@TheLawsEdge lol thanks I actually can’t ride it enough, I want to get a motorcycle endorsement now
I own three motorcycles all street machines 😊 These eScooters give kinda the same experience . Now standing on a escooter doing 45+ mph is a whole other level 😅
Our setings match. P1 screen brightness p2 miles/km p3 voltage dont change, p4 sleep time in minutes before screen powers down, p5 number of gears 3 or 5, p6 tire diameter changed mine to 9.9 to get display to match gps even know I have 11 inch tires, p7 magnet count don't change, p8 speed limit keep at 100, p9 kick start on or off, p10 drive mode leave at 2, p11 e brake , p12 acceleration from start, p13 assist magnet type dont change, p14 controller current limit dont change, p15 battery cutoff voltage, p16 odometer reset but heard can only do once, p17 cruise control on off, p18 p19 p20 can't adjust.
My p1 will adjust but brightness stays the same. Teewing told me they fixed it at highest brightness 3 and can't adjust. P8 is cool if you want to let someone ride your scooter but want to limit speed so they can't go too fast. P9 kick start on is where you have to push the scooter first before throttle works, kinda a safety measure. Be careful with p17 cruise control. After throttle is at same speed for 5 seconds, it will remain at that speed even if you let off throttle. Deactivates when braking or if you pull the throttle back again.
@@TheLawsEdge thanks I can finally change the speedo to mph lmao. Have u disconnected the brake sensor that cuts the throttle off when braking? I want to disconnect it for better wheelie control
Hmmm haven't looked into that cause I haven't done wheelie but sounds interesting. Gonna look into it 👍 Curious, did you have street tires or offroad tires when you did that speed run?
@@TheLawsEdge I had the original off-road tires, that was when I first got the scooter and then the GoPro about a month later. I actually just got a flat tire lmao, a puncture. I already had a new set in the mail from prime day
What's your opinion on street tires vs offroad tires for our X-Wings?
Hey can you post your P settings? I commented on your previous video where you reached 52-53 mph 👍 . Teewing advertise 55 mph but I can only hit 48 mph gps verified. I only way 165 pounds and running the stock settings and knobby tires. I am just curious if my settings are maybe not right. It is set for 100% max power (P8 setting). Thanks and keep the X5 vids coming!
@@TheLawsEdge the throttle has a passcode I’ve never been able to change anything
It's 1111, use mode to change number, power to switch to next number, then when all numbers entered, hold mode down a couple seconds and then the P settings menu comes up😊
There are 20 settings and I have figured out what each was does. If you need that info, let me know 👍
@@TheLawsEdge sure I’d love that info
I would like to know your settings because maybe mine was set incorrectly from the manufacturer. They do make the almost identical X4 and they may have set my settings to that model. I figure if I duplicate your settings (if different from mine) I may just hit 50 mph 😅
