Their equipment would look more like patched up rebel stuff but after a while that crew would take pride that they still maintain their old vehicles. You could base a whole series of books on that, or an RPG campaign
@Emerio Manzano certainly AT-DP and AT-ST but I suspect you are asking more about AT-ATs. Those things are just so tall, SPHA has to walked out of the ship before putting their main cannons onto them, and they are listed as 20 meters tall, the AT-AT is currently listed as 22 meters tall, so yeah the Acclaimator would have to be modified unless the AT-ATs could kind of crawl out with legs bent.
@Emerio Manzano I think the AT ATs were specifically transported by Imperial class Destroyers, and brought down to the surface by Gozanti class transports

Ill never understand why they didnt just add a zero. Say we have 2 million ready and another 10 on the way, still way too small but at least enough for an army.
I would pay happily for someone to make a "virtual tour" of the Acclamator (and other Republic ships) where you can just explore all the decks. Huge task though.
@@ranaghast That was amazing. They did- base delta zero was the code order for star destroyers to start bombarding the surface of the planet- glassing the surface supposedly took a few hours. However, yeah definently a last resort
Seems the Republic was big in to highly specialised multi-role ships: with its speed and landing ability the Acclamator was the perfect heavy duty invasion platform, whilst the Venator's carrying capacity and firepower output made it an unparalleled space superiority vessel. Put them together, you've got a fleet's worth of capability in just two classes of ship.
They needed a third. The Victory filled that role amazingly and was sadly the only one to survive long term, it even got a downgrade in the Victory II model under the Empire. Venator for a carrier able to defend itself and support the Victory doing the mainline combat with the Acclamator doing its troop thing while also being able to defend itself. The Arquetens playing the escort ship to round out the fights where Victories wouldn't be available. Honestly it would have been a winning fleet doctrine and the empire tossed it out the window for the ISD.
If I ended up in Star Wars, I would want one of these ships! I could run cargo, ships, my own Mercenary company. This ship could easily pay for itself outside of a combat role!
@@TheRyujinLP It would! darn thing requires 700 crew. Although with a passenger capacity of 16,000... heck you could make Star Tours the right way and make it a cruise line! LOL!
@@James-bw4np With the crazy fast hyperdrive, you could haul large loads of perishable goods or highly valuable cargo at very high speed and have the fire power to ruin the day of any pirates trying to jump you, since you can outrun anything you can't fight and generally curb-stomp anything you can outrun
There's a carrier refit which is occassionally mentioned employed by the Empire, though we don't have much in the way of details on it. But knowing that it exists and served long after the GAR was dissolved proves that the Acclamator was a very valued ship well worth its development time.
The Republic ships during the Clone Wars are the best for me. Helped that they had clones who were so loyal and talented crew them. Edit - Alright went down these comments and my personal ship from the Clone Wars Republic is Apocalypta a special Mandator 2 Star Dreadnought that was heavily improved over many years. Its my ship now.
@@apolloknight9521 Well not all Empire ships. They have more types than the Republic. Both canon and not canon. The Republic could be better than them if their ships were more varied and numerous. Like a Super Star Destroyer for the Empire is really just a overpowered Star Destroyer, the Republic could have something similar for their fleet because the Empire was built over the Republic's foundation, like if the Empire wasn't created but an improved military was required. So based on what ships are involved I think the Republic would still be better due to them having ships able to handle various situations. The Republic is more balanced with their designs.
For me the greatest ship is the Republic Venator class ship. The one that got alot of Clone Wars screen time alongside the Acclamator. If that ship was made into a Super Star Destroyer styled or sized ship it would make an incredible sight. NOTE I do prefer space battles over ground conflicts so my ship choice is influenced by that.
@@pogowilson3758 Your half right but the Secutor is an Imperial ship that focuses on energy weapons as well as ferrying fighters, I focused more on the diverse weapons that the Venator had so it could face off against enemy fighters as well as frigates and even destroyers. I'm glad you reminded me of one of the empires greatest ships.
I know this probably isnt canon, mainly because when the game released the Venator wasnt a thing yet, but in Republic Commando (the game) 2 acclamators were capable of demolishing a Lucrehulk with only Turbolaser fire (though as far as I remember its shields were lowered)
Personal theory that I believe is that, since the Venator was slow coming out and the Acclamator II and Victory class ships were still on the drawing board, that some of the Acclamator I series were retrofit to hold additional gun batteries. After all, the Prosecutor we see in RC also has some colossal torpedo tubes that shame even other capitol ships of the era, something not seen on other versions of this ship. So I'd bet that the Republic hastily carved up a few of these ships, possibly ones that had to put in for repairs after Geonosis anyway, and turned them into discount battleships. Remove some of its troop and material carrying capacity in favor of many more turbolasers. Most of the shots seen in the game seem to be coming from the batteries at the rear, which is normal for that ship, and from the equatorial line of the wedge shape, where you could fit more guns without having to drastically alter the basic shape of the hull. Even in real life, WWII in particular which a lot of Star Wars is patterned after, old ships or even civilian ships found themselves coated in guns to protect shipping and supply lanes from U-boats and other roving vessels, or to supplement the newer ships that were in high demand.
@@demicus It isn't much of theory. Some Acclimator actually were converted in proper carriers, so it do make sense that some also were refitted into makeshift warships. Especially as we do know that even Venator get additional armor and features. So it wasn't uncommon practice. Plus Lucrehulk in general was converted trade ship, so they features were even more uneven (so it could be bad underpowered variant).
who would win? a flying dorito shaped bus VS a highly protected separatist alliance control ship which has over 40 strong turbolasers and can transport thousands of deadly battle droids.
If I was a Rebel Officer, I’d find a way to steal/buy one of these and refurbish it. Not into a warship like the others, but as a tactical base. I’d convert the lower loading deck into a hanger-recovery bay-hybrid, and have it used to receive shipment of material, while the side hangars would be used for starfighter and freighter launches. With its speed and quick landing time, I would have rebel pilots perform hit and fade attacks, and only need to perform a single jump to the ship, which would then be able to outpace all possible pursuers. And while she wouldn’t match an ISD in combat, any Arquittens she ran across would be in for a good fight. Further, the large cargo space could be converted into a fighter construction and maintenance facility, to make new craft for the rebellion. Not only that, the size leaves room for storage, refineries, and numerous other facilities. We’d only need mole miners or raw materials, and new starfighters could be pumped out like clockwork. Post war, I’d keep her as my personal starfighter and freighter construction company: Arrowhead Limited, where I could continue producing craft for military purposes, and evade any attempt to steal my product.
Actually Rebel did use it that way, it’s just relatively rare to find, some rebel high command do use refurbished acclamator as flag ship, at least I know Hera has one
@@matthewflanagan9097 They can sell extra starfighters and freighters they build on the side, at no cost to themselves. Custom made, racers and whatnot.
During the time of playing "Star Wars: Empire at War", while online my buddies would upgrade our space station once and just start building fleets of "Accs" and unleash hell early on to win the game. Good times and great ship.
Post Clone Wars (and probably post Empire… they would be testy about such a ship in unofficial hands) the Acclamator would make a brilliant independent Freighter for a more roguish type. And with its massive hold, they could _scoundrel_ on an industrial scale.
I definitely agree, the Acclamator Class Star Destroyer was very underrated it could transport an Army to wherever needed in the galaxy and was ideal for mass deployment. If the LZ was too hot for the Acclamator to land then LAATs and Y-Wings could go in and secure it so the Acclamator could land and unload the troops and heavy units needed for the combat situation. Another underrated ship is the ARC-170 despite its size it was misused as a star fighter and should have acted as a dive bomber that can serve a star fighter role if necessary.
One of the worst things the Empire did was to simply dispose of the Acclamator Class Star Destroyers, as well as the Venator class, just because they had the Imperial Class Star Destroyer in mass production. A better thing would be to use them as support craft. Grand Admiral Thrawn did a great job using the Dreadnaughts as support craft in Legends. Look at how varied our navy fleets are on Earth. Also, the Empire should have kept the ARC-170 and forgot about the TIE bomber just because the ARC-170 could defend itself a lot better.
Acclamators were pretty impressive to see when AotC was in theaters, they've been an aesthetic favorite of mine since then. Point 9 put things in perspective for me too, always questioned why Hera had one for her flagship instead of something more robust.
I've heard it said that the Acclamator-class vessel is the Swiss Army Knife of the Republic. I find that quite accurate. Break through a blockade, land and drop troops, return to orbit, fight off more enemy vessels, perform orbital bombardment, land and retrieve majority of troops, leave system for another warzone... and that's the least of its capabilities!
I would love to see the earlier days of the CW with the Repyblic using these bad boys in ship to ship battles and then being introduced to the Venators.
@@luisemoralesfalcon4716 Acclmator wasn't build for ship to ship combat. It could do that if necessary, but generally every wise commander would avoid that.
Great video bro, only one correction: the ARC-170 and the Vulture droid fighter did not have a top atmospheric speed of 10 thousand Kph. It was about 1200 Kph. They could go at the speed of sound, but many of our fighters are faster. Cheers
If the U.S. Army command structure existed in Star Wars, this would be their go-to transport ship. It's entirely multipurpose, something anyone who served in the Army or was contracted to make equipment for is VERY familiar with.
@@akumaking1 No. The problem with people not knowing how it work. AWCS use size only as general indication for the specific category of warships. Acclimator wasn't a Star Destroyer, when only 600 meter Gladiator was, same as 900 meter Victory. Acclimator could defend itself, but it wasn't actually build for combat. It lack lot of features proper warship would have. Most Star Destroyers have above 1000 meters, but Gladiator and Victory were designed early when Venator was still seen as large ship. Still, they were fully equipped and capable to control star systems on they own, even if proper ISD did better job.
@@BansheeNT-D Providence-class I get, but Munificent? Those ships were trash! They have good stats on paper, but they were classified as Frigate despite having size of a Cruiser, for a reason. They simply die too easily and so waste the resources.
@@BansheeNT-D Yes, 825 meter Munificent-class star frigate, has almost the same firepower as full sized battleship, so for example 600 meter Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser. Being also capable to take as much hits as average frigate. So you usually needed at least four Munies to try take one Venator, when one Victory-class SD also could do the same, despite having same size as them (as Venator was more a carrier). Yup! Great design! They only advantage was that they were relatively cheap, especially if repurposed civilian versions. So CIS could crank lot of them, but they suffer on exact same problem as TIE/Ln.
These would have been extremely useful for both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The empire could have used the mass transport and mobile base. The Rebel could have used the bulk mover and mobile repair and command post. With Hyperspace capable fighters, it would have been an amazing lighting assault tool or a base that never needs to be abandoned because it can just run away under it's own power.
I've been smacked by the sonic booms from Tomcats multiple times which was quite an experience. The boom from one of these zipping past would probably level buildings. Edit to add: RUclips should still have the first episode of Robotech. The mass destruction the future SDF1 causes during it's crash landing is what I'm thinking .
To be honest, one thing you didn't touch on but got pretty close to is the sheer versatility of it, with the combined top speed of the acclamator you could (theoretically), use it to as a distraction on a blockaded world, CIS vessels would have had to split off to engage the ships, but would have been woefully unprepared for its weapon systems and tonnage in that fight, and if the separatists or any other faction wanted to base delta 0 them, they could also split off and make for a much harder target to hit as they could simply outrun most CIS capital ships, leaving them open for any escorting forces to come from behind and start shooting full force up their engines.
No question about it, this is a well-designed, robust, versatile, impressive ship. I have a soft spot for troop transports and landing crafts, so this is one of my favorite SW ships.
This was awesome to watch! Thank you so much for sharing this and and all the hard work you and your team does to make these videos. These videos bring a smile to me. Btw...also loved your video on the venator class ships.
I would combine the best qualities of this ship with the Venator class star destroyer. It may not be able to hold as many troops or equipment, but it will have better weapons and armor. I would also incorporate the best qualities of the Resurgent class star destroyer. This would probably result in a versatile ship that would hopefully be not to big or small, have excellent weapons, armor and shielding.
I have to agree with this I often believe that the acclimator was underestimated despite having outlasted many other models of ships from the clone wars still continuing to be in service in the empire and eventually even a small role in the New republic.
I've always thought of the acclimator as a good sort of extra galactic sort of colony / exploration vehicle due to its rapid speed its ability to carry large quantities and its robust reactor. It would be simple matter of loading several thousand colonists in there with a Carbonite conversion for reduction in food store needs as well as being able to say rotate out crew.several of them would be able to act as support in terms of carrying extra fuel and just its overall very very effective ability. I really like the ship once I started really taking a look at it
It's kinda what I love about the Republic's war machine, almost everything is so incredibly over engineered. Sure in some cases it isn't an advantage, but in many cases it really just is. And it kinda adds into the Mandalorian principle of having one soldier being able to do everything. The republic made sure it's war equipment was capable of almost every role it could possibly be used for. Maybe not the best in it, but capable.
I love this ships, I really like how well optimised it is to carry republic equipment. It could carry stupid amounts of men and weapons. Great design overall 10/10
Yeah - lead with a TIE Scout, use the ping, and drop half a dozen Acclamators as close as possible to the enemy space station. If you're lucky they take out the hangar bay on the first pass and the enemy are screwed.
@AKUJIRULE I always target the hangar first to try to make sure the enemy can't spawn a corvette to kill my bombers, and the "lucky" refers to only needing one massed volley of concussion missiles & proton torpedoes from each Acclamator to do the job. If you're unlucky, it takes more than one. Diverting power to weapons seems to remove the luck factor on the attack, but leaves your ships more vulnerable to counter-attack.
Imagine taking this thing and then sticking a bunch of Vulture Droids to just stick on the outside on it. They're the perfect compliment since they're fighters which don't need to actually be stored in a vessel. So this ship would truly be a vessel which could duke it in out in space, in atmosphere, and lead an assault... by itself. Also imagine a Droid army in place of a clone one. You could carry probably 10x as many and thus have an entire army's worth in a single ship. Bring in a sister ship to carry all of the extra equipment and you've got a full army armed to the teeth in 2 ships that, if need be, can also pack up and reposition on the other side of the planet in about an hour. If you want a mobile army, this would be how you do it.
I think the Acclamator would make a good planetary defense fleet ship in the post-Empire era. It's a very effective multi-role ship (being at least decent against capital ships and starfighters); has a good balance of firepower, durability and speed/maneuverability; is bigger than the average pirate ship but not so big that it's horribly expensive to crew or is a threat to other planets; its massive cargo/hanger capability gives it flexibility in mission profile and non-combat uses for peacetime; and the ability to land on the ground means that it can be serviced and repaired locally, even if the planet does not have an orbital spacedock. If I was a planetary leader who only had the budget to buy one ship for defense purposes, the Acclamator would be at the top of my list.
At the *First battle of Geonosis* all that the GAR needed to do was dedicate a few Acclamators to heavy bomber roles… and load them up with _proton bombs !_ Have their entire holds filled up with proton bombs, no troops (except for a couple to kick any bomb that got jammed in the mechanism to jar it loose) nothing else. They fly high over the massed droid armies *and* the _control ships,_ and just rain death. Basically map reference grids would become cratered wastelands - which has the added benifit that when later on Clones do clean up patrols of the area, they have cover. One Starfortress was able to drop enough ordinance to blow up a dreadnought in TLJ (okay they got a weak spot), comparing sizes one Acclamator could carry more proton bombs than the entire R̶e̶b̶e̶l̶ Resistance bomber squadron - they could probably carry the entire bomber squadron! It would have been a knock out blow. And later on, such ships would make devastating Raiders for other CIS faculties. And with their fast hyperdrives they could jump in as close to the planet as possible, do a bombing run, jump back to base and resupply quickly. The economy of the remaining CIS worlds could be destroyed by low orbit bombing if the GAR was willing to inflict a lot of collateral damage. Now consider a Acclamator loaded up with proton _missiles…_
Proton bombs AND proton missiles? Maybe some ion missiles and ion bombs as well? Use the ion weaponry first to short out the electronics, then use the proton munitions so seperatist gear cant be recovered?
_Kualt Drive Yards engineer having a secret meeting with Chancellor Palpatine_ *Palpatine:* So tell me of your design proposals for the Acclamator class. *Engineer [Nervous]:* Well sir, as you know the Acclamator has a very large boarding ramp that leads straight into its cargo bays. So my concept is for roll on modules that can be simply wheeled in and installed to provide a series of additional roles as needed. They plug into ships systems and clamp onto bulkheads so they become part of the ship itself. It saves the effort of building individual variants and provides flexibility to adapt to changing demands - although I still recommend a dedicated line of heavy missile attack Raiders, although I have a work around for that. As well, being a roll on, roll off addition to a current ship it would not slow down production, and more importantly GAR commanders could not paint their ships to indicate what format they are currently configured as … a problem with the old school Brass I'm afraid who aren't used to the concept of total war. *Palpatine:* I agree, there are a lot of issues with the old order, we really do need a new order… New order? …. hmm, I like the sound of that, but it needs something? [Engineer looks confused] Oh nevermind, you were saying, what sort of modules do you have in mind? *Engineer:* All of these take advantage of the fact that the Acclamator is an incredibly fast ship sir, and has the advantage of the logistics of all using the same basic ship. Well medical bays, with the high speed it will allow quick evacuation and turn around of injured troops. Racks for non hyperdrive snub fighters. And the big one I'm most proud of, missile magazines that feed to the autoloaders of the missile tubes. They will allow a Acclamator to keep up a continuous missile barrage for hours, which could turn the tide of battle. That's why I wanted to design a special line with more launchers, but this is still a order of magnitude in firepower from the base layout. And in addition to this there's also proton bomb racks that can disperse through the secondary hatches. In fact both can be added to the same ship for a fast Raider to strike behind enemy lines doing hit and run attacks, dropping a massive load of ordinance on a target and getting out before the enemy can respond. Never underestimate the power of hit and fade sir, it can't do a knock out blow, but it can sap a fixed enemies strength and will over time. *Palpatine [slightly annoyed]:* Don't lecture me about long term planning… Still your designs are interesting, they could well end the war quickly if fully implement. Tell me, _who else_ have you told of your ideas? … …
The bridge is a bit silly being above the hull. It would house the captain during battle, so the bridge surely would be better being inside the main hull, where it has more protection. Windows for starships seem... pointless. Sensors and cameras displaying video feeds on screen can do as good a job as windows. But being deep into the hull you can't breach the 'windows' as they dont exist. No risk of being flushed out into space ala Leia in Last Jedi. I dare say most captains wouldn't be able to use the force to fly back into the ship so... yea.
Actually, the Acclamator is one of the few ships to fix this issue. For some reason it wasn’t mentioned in this video, but the Acclamator would have all its bridges “windows” covered with armor and the crew could see using sensors, cameras, etc. Though personally I think having transparasteel windows has a good use; sensors can break or be destroyed, the MK1 eyeball has less of a prob some with that.
@@sirboomsalot4902 Interesting. Although I'd still put it in the centre of the much more massive hull with many layers of steel between incoming fire and the most important officers. At least lack of windows is a start. Too many instances of those windows--regardless of being transparent steel--being destroyed. The A-Wing went straight through. Small cameras would be harder to target, esp if there's many potential cameras. Maybe with that transparasteel for lenses. :D But either way, plot armour helps!
Well really the bottom line is that all of the Star Wars movies are people in wars or preparing for wars ! They are certainly following the track of the Human Species that does the same damn thing.
6:58 Acclamator max speed in atmosphere 1,200 km/h. ARC-170 and droid Tri-fighter had a maximum in atmosphere speed of just 10,050 km/h. Something's not right there.
My biggest issue with this ship is with the battle of Ryloth. One ship was shot down in like one shot by a single ground cannon. Doesn't seem to be that defensive against attacks.
People wonder how the clones were funded and authorized. Mine was mainly how the military tech was built with the restrictions on military grade weapons and vehicles was licensed and allowed to be built.
I would take it but add more anti-starfighter lazers. I would also convert some area to more starfighters. Add an area to be able to make repair ships. And then you have and op command cnter
This would actually be a pretty good civilian transport ship after the war. It has large hangers for cargo and a ton of barracks for passengers, along with enough armor and firepower to fend off pirate attacks. I wouldn't mind having a few for my post-empire transport and trade syndicate.
I doubt the Empire would allow you to keep the weapon emplacements. However stripping those out and turning the into cargo ships makes a lot of sense. However you know that pirates and Rebels would refit them with weapons.
The Hyperdrive was awesome tactically you could literally land your initial force destroy the blockade and have the acclimater move in instantly towards the planet avoiding enemy warships
the only thing that could make it better would be to bring the bridge down so its closer to the hull... and probably turn it more into a rec room/emergency bridge and have the actual bridge inside the ship
@@Sawtooth44 More or less, while it did not hold a candle to the ISDs they still supported them well and were effective for the most part against the Rebels. They were typically given secondary and tertiary roles because of their flexibility and cost effectiveness allowing ISDs to be given priority jobs as the Empire only had 25k ISDs and they could not be everywhere.
Rather than just ferrying slaves, I imagine the Imperials used the Acclamator to also transport thousands of POW's at a time to Imperial prisons, and transport as many wounded personnel so that they could be brought to hospitals for better treatment. First and foremost, the Acclamator is an armed transport ship. As such it would be used to ferry a large amount of troops, cargo, vehicles, and other supplies across the Galaxy without having to worry about delays. And as such, most of them would be spending most of their time either on the ground, or in transit; and not taking part in blockade or patrol duties like the Imperial Star Destroyer and Arquitens cruiser. For more examples, I could see Acclamators carrying entire legions of troops at a time to new deployments and back; and taking dozens of newly-manufactured walkers and other vehicles from factories like those on Balmorra straight to various Imperial fortresses and vehicle depots.
You could also potentially launch fighters from the assault ship if you really wanted to. I know the Venator filled that role but still you could what’s the difference between the type 1/2

Yeah, you definitely need a heavy combatant in that mix. An Allegiance Heavy SD/cruiser would be perfect.
If I ended up in Star Wars, I would want one of these ships! I could run cargo, ships, my own Mercenary company. This ship could easily pay for itself outside of a combat role!
The only limitation is its longevity.

There's a carrier refit which is occassionally mentioned employed by the Empire, though we don't have much in the way of details on it. But knowing that it exists and served long after the GAR was dissolved proves that the Acclamator was a very valued ship well worth its development time.
One was in fact used by Hera Syndulla.

Better than the Empire Era ships?

I know this probably isnt canon, mainly because when the game released the Venator wasnt a thing yet, but in Republic Commando (the game) 2 acclamators were capable of demolishing a Lucrehulk with only Turbolaser fire (though as far as I remember its shields were lowered)
More like 1 acclamator and 1 heavily damaged using “unmanned gunnery”. Delta Squad is just that good ;)
It’s definitely possible the quad turbo lasers were serious fire power
Plus Lucrehulk in general was converted trade ship, so they features were even more uneven (so it could be bad underpowered variant).
who would win?
a flying dorito shaped bus
VS
a highly protected separatist alliance control ship which has over 40 strong turbolasers and can transport thousands of deadly battle droids.

Post Clone Wars (and probably post Empire… they would be testy about such a ship in unofficial hands) the Acclamator would make a brilliant independent Freighter for a more roguish type.
And with its massive hold, they could _scoundrel_ on an industrial scale.
It is an assault ship after all...
Hey BTW, what is that pfp
I definitely agree, the Acclamator Class Star Destroyer was very underrated it could transport an Army to wherever needed in the galaxy and was ideal for mass deployment. If the LZ was too hot for the Acclamator to land then LAATs and Y-Wings could go in and secure it so the Acclamator could land and unload the troops and heavy units needed for the combat situation. Another underrated ship is the ARC-170 despite its size it was misused as a star fighter and should have acted as a dive bomber that can serve a star fighter role if necessary.

sombertownDS 1 p47 thunderbolt. P51 was a pure fighter, although I’m sure it could do anything.
@@indianajones4321 Only refitted version could be considered as such. Acclimator on its own lack ability to control space.
That Ship reappeared many decades after the Clone Wars in the "Fate of the Jedi" Series, during the Battle over Exodo II as Natasi Daala's ship.
Wasn’t there a “museum” of Clone-Wars era ships that became a mobile temple for some Jedi during that era?
It had a moment in "The Unifying Force" from the New Jedi Order series, too.
Said moment was "get torn apart by Yuuzhan Vong AA fire" but still.
Don't forget hera owned a acclamator once
I've heard it said that the Acclamator-class vessel is the Swiss Army Knife of the Republic. I find that quite accurate. Break through a blockade, land and drop troops, return to orbit, fight off more enemy vessels, perform orbital bombardment, land and retrieve majority of troops, leave system for another warzone... and that's the least of its capabilities!
So basically an all-purpose ship that was built to last? Plus it just looks cool.
Shame we didn't see it in the clone wars tv show apart from a few episodes
Go watch the 2003 series and see these fuckers floating on the ocean's surface before disembarking their troops. Pretty badass.

Technically venator was first star destroyer but i agree acclimator was actually first.
Agreed
This is the problem with the Anaxes Warship Classification System
I love the Venator, but I like most of the clone wars era stuff
The Providence Class need more love. This Ship is amazing.
Next underrated ship munificent
And the Providence Class. For me it is one of the best Warships in Star Wars.
@@BansheeNT-D Providence-class I get, but Munificent? Those ships were trash! They have good stats on paper, but they were classified as Frigate despite having size of a Cruiser, for a reason. They simply die too easily and so waste the resources.
@@TheRezro I only know the Munis are excellent flankers. Because they have the firepower of a full sized battleship.
@@TheRezro I am not a big fan of the Muni. My love is the Providence. :D

I still gotta say I love this machine-! It's too useful, and has no apparent flaws..at all.
Basically an amphibious assault ship in space
It would also be a very effective ship for anti-dolphin operations too 👍 humanity first.
I mean 2 of em were able to blow up a droid command ship. These things were badass
Acclamators are my favorite.
10 reasons why Mon Calamari cruisers were awesome
I've always thought of the acclimator as a good sort of extra galactic sort of colony / exploration vehicle due to its rapid speed its ability to carry large quantities and its robust reactor. It would be simple matter of loading several thousand colonists in there with a Carbonite conversion for reduction in food store needs as well as being able to say rotate out crew.several of them would be able to act as support in terms of carrying extra fuel and just its overall very very effective ability. I really like the ship once I started really taking a look at it
EAW players know how useful these things are. Especially in the early GCW Imperial campaign where most of your fleet will be old Acclamators.
Great vid Gen Tech! As awesome as the Venator is, the Acclamator is my favorite Republic capital ship. RAS Prosecutor FTW!
I love this ships, I really like how well optimised it is to carry republic equipment. It could carry stupid amounts of men and weapons. Great design overall 10/10
Ah, my go-to in Empire At War.
Not to mention 1 1/4 Acclamators defeated a Lucrehulk (see Republic Commando).
Venators are my all time favourite, but the Acclamators are definitely right behind them.
Great video man!
Love this video. The Acclimator is one of my favorites!
finally, the ship that I like the most in star wars are getting a video
Love both Acclamators and Venators. :3
In fact, almost every piece of GAR hardware is badass.
The Acclimator was the battleship to the Venator's carrier.
Can't believe you're only doing star wars content. You're such a warhammer guy!
I always wanted to see this, great work!
They were also surprisingly graceful.
Finally, I've been waiting for this
At the *First battle of Geonosis* all that the GAR needed to do was dedicate a few Acclamators to heavy bomber roles… and load them up with _proton bombs !_
Have their entire holds filled up with proton bombs, no troops (except for a couple to kick any bomb that got jammed in the mechanism to jar it loose) nothing else.
Beautiful ship. One of my faves.
_Kualt Drive Yards engineer having a secret meeting with Chancellor Palpatine_
*Palpatine:* So tell me of your design proposals for the Acclamator class.
[Engineer looks confused]
Oh nevermind, you were saying, what sort of modules do you have in mind?
*Palpatine [slightly annoyed]:* Don't lecture me about long term planning…
Still your designs are interesting, they could well end the war quickly if fully implement.
Tell me, _who else_ have you told of your ideas? … …

dude that was an awesome review of a great ship.
I didn't know there was a rebel general called Harrison Doula... (I love subtitles XD)
Idk why but the venator is just my favourite capital ship in all of Star Wars, might not be as powerful as an isd but I still think it’s great
The bridge is a bit silly being above the hull.
But either way, plot armour helps!
Well the windows look cool so they’re staying

I'm going to assume he meant to say 1,050 km/h.
Honestly that has been my favorite ship and i think it needed more screen time.
Well here before videos up again
My biggest issue with this ship is with the battle of Ryloth. One ship was shot down in like one shot by a single ground cannon. Doesn't seem to be that defensive against attacks.
Would be neat if you did more polls
I can't get the Bellefonte (a converted sub hunter) from The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou out of my head in this scenario.
I doubt the Empire would allow you to keep the weapon emplacements. However stripping those out and turning the into cargo ships makes a lot of sense. However you know that pirates and Rebels would refit them with weapons.
Well, now I know what transport ship I want to be on if I was ever in Star Wars.
I have an idea for a video if it's not been done.

The Hyperdrive was awesome tactically you could literally land your initial force destroy the blockade and have the acclimater move in instantly towards the planet avoiding enemy warships
It was always so brutal destroying these is battlefront 2 classic as I knew they where filled with clones....but orders are orders, RODGER, RODGER
An escort actually slows the trip down
They have to zig zag?
So robust and reliable that even the Empire used them up to the final days where they eventually pumped out the Mk II Acclaimators.
Not only can it land and unload its troops, it can even float on water! (see the 2003 Clone wars cartoon)
the only thing that could make it better would be to bring the bridge down so its closer to the hull... and probably turn it more into a rec room/emergency bridge and have the actual bridge inside the ship
The Empire did do that, for their version of the Acclamator they outright removed the spire.
@@TankHunter678 but was it still as good as the original?
@@Sawtooth44 More or less, while it did not hold a candle to the ISDs they still supported them well and were effective for the most part against the Rebels. They were typically given secondary and tertiary roles because of their flexibility and cost effectiveness allowing ISDs to be given priority jobs as the Empire only had 25k ISDs and they could not be everywhere.
Can you make a video about the Nebula-class Star Destroyer
can you do one of these videos about Arquitens class light command frigate?
the Venator must have been in production and/or testing by the battle of Geonosis, just not enough to use or not completely fit out yet

Clone Wars OG animated series.
Yep. 2003 really showed love to the Acclamator.
Thank You Alan!!!!!
I love you Allen
You could also potentially launch fighters from the assault ship if you really wanted to. I know the Venator filled that role but still you could
what’s the difference between the type 1/2
