I had fear to drive before. I held my driving license for years without driving until one day there was no one to drive me to work. No option I got to drive by myself and after half and a year, I can now drive calmly. Thank god. 😌
Congratulations on overcoming your driving anxiety, which is a huge milestone. So how did you overcome your driving fear? Did you say to yourself one day I am just going to drive by myself no matter what. God Bless.
Most of my fears honestly come from a lack of practice... which I can't do because no one's ever available to watch over my driving. As a result, I end up driving once every month. I've always said to myself that the day I get my license is when I'll finally be able to practice. I just need to pass my second attempt.
Acromat /ak-roh-mat/ I've been moving my road test to a later date over and over again for almost a year now ;_; I hope this month is the month I finally pass it.
Just breathe. I passed it first try, but and the only error I got was forgetting where the defogger was... even though I KNOW exactly where it is. Nerves man... I pointed towards the windshield wipers for some reason lmao
I find that being a passenger to a good driver, who constantly scolds at other drivers somewhat helpful for my self-development. For example he'd say: "Look at that driver pressing his brakes for no reason! This is what causes jams" "Why is this driver jamming his brakes??" "Omg cut into my lane without matching my speed?!" *flash* "Sigh unnecessary braking on a corner. Should brake BEFORE the corner, not during" "Eating two lanes? I bet this guy is either drunk or on the handphone" This makes me more self-aware of my driving.
my biggest fear is gettin into and accident. I dont wanna get hurt by other crazy drivers and i dont want to cause an accident. Also im scared of not being able to take my time, when driving you have to keep a pace and i feel more calm when i get to take my time but if i do other ppl are gonna honk and get crazyyy wit me cuz im being slow. i am also terrified of driving in bad weather. im so paranoid 😩😩😩
its excatly same what happen with me yesterday i was trying to drive calmly but cars behind of mine keep doing horn but i actually tried to drive slowly so no one get hurt but thats also an issue and my instructer keep yelling at me to speed up but what i do is thinking if i will speed up what will happen if i cant control my speed and might hit someone SO many things going on seriously :(
"Those things you're afraid of will most likely never happen." I have to say that that is very true. If anything, fear itself will actually cause them because it really blinds you and fogs your mind regarding everything important while behind the wheel. Thank you so much for this!
I love your comment, which got me thinking all week long. I thought to myself your negative thoughts are not true, but if you let fear dominate with the negative thought, people may have a hard time coping in life. Therefore, a balance of some fear and confidence, may make a difference with driving phobias. Thanks for stimulating my brain. God Bless.
Phobias are developed two ways. One is through experience. If you get into a bad accident you could develop a fear because of it. In this case the thing you fear has already happened. The other way is through avoidance. In this case you fear something because you don't have experience with it and you imagine things happening in your head that have never happened before.
I used to be intimidated by driving, but my confidence and driving ability definitely improved after repeated exposure (helps to be driving alone without someone else in the car critiquing my decisions). One of my main problems is getting pressured by people behind me which causes me to divert attention backwards instead of forwards, but it helps to not look at the rearview mirror too much, and usually the person behind doesn't pose any actual threat such as rear-ending. On a side note, you're an absolute legend, still responding to comments and reassuring people years later.
This!! I ued to think I needed to drive with an experienced driver in the car with me. Now I realize, no, I know how to drive, I'm very good at it, but I feel pressured when someone is with me and it also divides my attention. I need to practice by myself. I will feel the least pressured. I also enjoy shopping by myself because I won't feel rushed by the other person. This should have given me a clue, haha.
I've had my license since 2006 and I still use mass transit because I live in New York and everything here is accessible without driving. Fast forward to 2023 I'm now in a situation where I have no option but to drive and I literally feel like I've never driven before. Your videos are the best thing on RUclips. Thank you
Ditto. I had my license since 2013. I registered for driving lessons this week . I'm ready to be more independent. I always kept using the excuse, "I live in NYC, and I don't need a car." Which is true, but mass transit can only take you but so far.
I'm a new driver. I'm not really good at driving, and only passed my test because I prayed and fasted and God had mercy on me. Anyway, thanks for your videos. I find them very informative. Liked and subscribed. 👍
I get anxiety when I drive so I use listening to the radio as a way to calm me down. As a nervous and less experienced driver, my dad say that it's not good but when I don't have music on I get overwhelmed with fear: heart palpitations, shaking hands, excessive bad thoughts, and etc...
I noticed with some of my students that when we were talking, having a conversation about something, they were driving way better than when we weren't. I guess that's because they were focusing on the conversation instead of being focused on their fears. Sort of like driving on auto-pilot. When we'd stop talking, they'd start driving terribly. So what you say makes a lot of sense. Anything that can take your focus away from your fears is a good thing.
@@ConduiteFacile : When my instructor was teaching me to drive he turn on the radio, and at the same time speaking to me then he would ask me "what was said on the radio" I am learning to drive a manual. He said it is teaching your brain to multiple task make you more aware . Also what I have notice if the instructor is timid the student will also. Notice that with my neighbor.
Growing up my family didn't want to be bothered with teaching me how to drive. I'm now an adult and it wasn't until recently that I really got any time behind the wheel with an instructor, and I was terrified. All it took for me to get over my fear was to just do it and do it with a person that didn't get frustrated with me. I'm now about to take my final lesson through the course before I take the test.
You always choose topics that driving rookies would be curious of and provide many useful tips. I appreciate all of your videos and furthermore, I am a fan of your english pronounciation. Thanks a lot.
The only to things that I'm actually terrified of when driving are: changing lanes and highways, that's it. Changing lanes especially in rush hours freak me out
Yes me too. There are so many different things to pay attention to and I never know if I have enough room to merge or change lanes. I have really bad spacial relations and don’t know how to use the mirrors properly. I live in NYC and I feel trapped because of this fear of driving on the highway.
What motivates to overcome my fear of driving is, I don't want to rely on anyone to drive me to anywhere because my family members seem to be very occupied by their own schedules. If I don't drive now, I might be calling a GRAB to fetch me to work everyday and that requires a lot of money.
I’m a learning driver atm (might I say, this channel has been helping me so much, thank you) but when I get scared driving, I just look around me at everyone else driving. Millions of people do it and have no problem, someday I’ll get there. And when I’m behind the wheel I just pretend that i know how to drive and I’m just going for a ride with someone, takes my nerves away and just makes me think I’m doing this for fun
Ur amazing. U truely understand the mindset of the student and ur advices are genuinely aimed at their betterment. I just cant get enough of appreciating u!
it's action over talkin , being able to drive and not having fear to drive. You get use to driving the more you practice at it , practice make perfect in other words doing better than before❤.
... I just started driving on highways and I am starting to be scared especially driving in California. So, I searched videos on RUclips and watched this one. This is a big help for me. I really need to practice a lot more and stay focused. Praying that everything will be alright.
I watched this a year ago and revisit to give my thumbs up. Overcome the fear and anxiety by facing them, and gradually it'll come to past. Thanks so much, that's the best pep talk for new drivers.
This is a great video. It really makes me feel confident. I agree exposure helps alot. And usually when you do it, it's not as bad as you thought. Driving is really enjoyable for me. I'm not really scared of other cars anymore because I understand driving can be safe and it just has a risk because cars can hit eachother, but as long as you follow the rules and look out for other drivers you will get better. Stay safe and pay attention, stay away from crazy drivers if you spot one and do your best :) Nothing will happen and you'll become natural at driving with no fear! God bless you all and protect you 🙌
Thank you for making this video. I've had two accidents and haven't driven in years. The fear is paralyzing and I want to get over it. I have a fear of getting into another accident, driving on the highway at high speeds, being in a car that breaks down, getting lost, driving on hills and facing road rage. Your videos are inspiring me to get behind the wheel again. I live in a city so there is plenty of public transportation options so a car isn't necessary. But would love to venture out and go visit family/friends in other states.
Sorry to hear about your driving accident, which you to develop driving anxiety. How are you doing with overcoming with your driving fears now after 2 years? God Bless.
I hate stating my age online, but I'll make an exception. I'm 30 years old, and I'm working towards my learners permit. I will conquer this fear. Your videos have been so informative, and helpful. Hopefully I'll be able to give an update in several months stating that I have my license. I'm tired of being held back by fear.
Life lesson, thank you. I realised something you mentioned in this video, "expose yourself to what you fear, that's called exposure in psychology" the less we drive because we are afraid the less we will drive and the cycle will only feed itself. It's important to expose yourself and see that you made it through safely. Thank you for this video sir.
i have a huge fear of driving. i am a slow learner when it comes to it as so much of it is based on experience and judgement. i lack a lot of confidence to control my vehicle too, especially when going at higher speeds or when there's a lot of traffic. i also am scared of being in the way of other drivers or making mistakes on the road. ive seen many times where other experienced drivers aren't as understanding with new drivers, especially when we're trying things for the first time. i get very tense, and have a hard time focusing on so many things at once.
Same here dude. I’m 33 and I never learned to drive because of this phobia. I got it because I witnessed someone get hit by a car when I was about 10 years old. That moment scarred me. I too don’t have that confidence. My main fear is hitting someone or being in an accident myself.
Wow your thoughts are almost exactly as mine…how are you now? Right now I’m really going through it cause I ALMOST hit someone one of my first times driving alone and now my anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF.
Man I wish you were my driving instructor. Can you make videos on pedal control? Like I keep jerking the car so I want to drive smoother and when steering to the left or right, what do we do with the pedals?
Smoothness comes with practice. You develop a feel for it and then it comes naturally. You need to spend more time with your car and try to keep anxiety levels low.
Is your seat too close to the pedal? I find that if my legs are too close to the pedal I tend to press the pedal a bit too hard. Or are you driving a manual car? Are you shifting up your gears late (high rev)? When you're on a low gear and force your car to go fast, then release the pedal, the car will jerk. Alternatively, try turning off your radio and hearing your car when you press the pedal very lightly.
Yea it def comes with practice also varies on the car too. some i drive is fine but specifically the driving school car has a delay so launches a bit sometimes.
ive only started driving but i realized that if you want to have a smooth acceleration from a stopped position; let your vehicle roll a little bit (no gas, no brake), and then lightly begin to apply the gas pedal.
Abdi Jama you jerk it because you think the pedals are nitro boost or something. It happens, then you’ll get a feel for it, rest your feet and put constant pressure and when you wanna slow down a bit don’t just remove your feet, you slowly do that too. Most people are more worried about their brakes tbh. For me it was staying centered on the lane( more or less) but i got used staring at the line so I don’t change lanes or I don’t hit the curb
I am just sad to realize how people around me don't get how real this fear is, they constantly call me out on this even though I said how afraid I am. It started years ago where I was in a accident but than somehow I managed to drive. Now I live in a bigger city and it's just so hard for me to decide to start. Just one street or on a parking lot, I can't. I hope it will change soon, I need my independence! Thanks for the video.
Today i had my first hours of driving and well i did loads of mistakes and felt bad about myself but your videos have really been helpful to watch, so let me just say thank you, i love your work!
your channel has been very helpful to me. Thank you so much for that. It's been almost a year since I got my license but I dont own a car so I dont get to drive often. Thus I still get nervous while driving due to lack of practice. Hope my fear goes away
Geezo! What a quality knowledgeable driving teacher! I watched all of your English ones. You are a great person/teacher no matter what you do, and lucky for me I'm learning driving from you.
On 14th August I passed my road test, thank you very much for your extremely helpful videos. i watched every single video of your channel several times.
1. Find some parking instructions and remember the algorithm. 2. Try to find a safe place - e.g. empty car lot, testing ground, a wide street with no traffic - whatever your local law permits. 3.Get some objects to outline a parking space - such as cones, large water bottles, chairs, etc. 4. Start by placing the objects to create a large space to park between and do it many times. Once you feel 100% confident, narrow down the space and go on until it gets very tiny. Just remember to have fun, that's why you put the efforts to create a safe environment. 5. Also, to get confident to car dimensions from your view angle, whenever you feel too close, secure the car in place, go out of the car and have a look. 6. If the parking algorithm doesn't feel right for you, try another one. 7. Whenever you feel anxious parking in real life, ask a friend or even a stranger who doesn't look too busy to get near the parking space and give you hand signs while you park. There's no shame in that. Good luck!
I feel you Ashley!! I'm able to overcome my fear with all the other aspects of driving, but I'm still struggling with parking especially those u mentioned! It's worse when someone is behind me waiting to pass, I'll be stressed out that I'd give up the spot to look for somewhere easier...it's all about having the confidence and practice, practice, practice!
I keep going back to this video everytime I will drive again after a long period of time of unable to drive. Thank you so much. Very helpful and eases the fear a bit. 🙏🏻
See I agree with the whole “don’t be afraid of failure thing.” However, if you fail while driving, there’s a chance you can die or injure someone else. That’s why driving scares me.
What I mean is that potential failures have to be calculated. Just like everything else in life. If you're learning how to dive for the olympics, start diving from 5 metres. If you don't enter the water at what is considered a good angle for the judges, you've failed. But you'll live. But if you start from 100 meters, and you don't enter the water at what is considered a good angle, you can die. So when I say don't be afraid to fail when learning how to drive, what I mean is something like: Don't be afraid to change lanes in a safe manner, but if you don't succeed, some other driver might honk at you, and/or your driving teacher/accompanying driver might grab the steering wheel. As opposed to: Just change lanes mindlessly on the highway at 100 km/h.
This video is awesome! Driving on the highway and switching lanes in high traffic volumes are definitely huge fears of mine. This video just boosted the confidence in myself. Thank you!
While I know it is not easy driving in highway driving or unfamiliar places, I am glad the GPS has reduce your fear in helping you to know where you are going. God Bless.
Well that's an interesting topic. Never thought about that. I'll make a video on accompanied driving in the near future. I might put some of that stuff in there.
Thank you for all the videos! Got my license and you are one who contribute on it😍😍❤️❤️❤️ please continue making great videos it really helps a lot of us who are first time to drive. Cheers 🥂 thank you again.🥂🥂🥂Ps. Will continue watching your videos until i get better.😊
Thank you for this video! I can use this as a reference point because I don't get a lot of repitition in driving (I only go out driving once a week or not at all, yet my younger brother goes out driving daily). With that lack of repitition comes a lack of skill and an increase in anxiety levels. One takeaway here is that you have to do something as often as needed to combat your anxiety levels and nail the learning curve down regardless of what you're dealing with on the road. This is useful to build my repitition up in driving!
I have a lot of anxiety when driving, because I got pulled over the first time I went driving. Since then I've been extremely scared of getting pulled over again or getting into an accident. I really wish I could practice more but rarely does anyone want to take me out to drive. But your videos help me a lot when I do get the chance to drive so thanks.
Your soooo good I wish you were my instructor !!! I have so much anxiety and fear about driving and worry about the people behind me little by little I’m overcoming it but I hope I pass my road test in a week from now I need to focus your videos relieve me thank you 🙏
I have begun my driving lessons and I am not happy, having heavy anxiety is no joke and sadly my instructor just gets annoyed and loud and that just shuts me doen right away. Thank you for the video, I eill try to be calmer.
This video is a big thumbs up 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing .I failed 3 times in driving test just because of my fear else my teacher said I am good driver .I am sure next test I will pass Thanks 🙏
Can you please make a video on making left and right turns in motion? That's my main trouble when I'm driving. When I know I have to make a right or a left turn that is ongoing I start to feel panic and no matter how much I'm slowing down, as I approach the turn I get this ugly feeling in my stomach like the car is going to tip. I can't tell if it's a real feeling because I'm turning wrong or if it's my imagination. I just would like to know how to make smooth right and left turns. I drive an SUV by the way. Thank you! Love your videos :)
Long post incoming ^^; Here are some general tips that I know of: 1. Make sure your car's ESP is on (some cars call it ESC, but whatever your car calls it it's Electronic Stability Programme renamed several times). If your ESP is off, you will find that when taking corners fast (40 km/h is pretty fast btw) causes the car to lean a bit excessively on the side (right turn -> right side of car, vice versa) 2. You might need some new tyres (or at least give them a good check). These shouldn't affect how your car's ESP works though... but if they're truly bad, you will hear screeching even when taking a roundabout at a reasonable speed - generally 30km/h or less. 3. Take corners slowly, especially in a tall car. This especially applies to vans and trucks (driving a van in my first few hours of driving was a nightmare tbh lol, but hey... faced the fear and now I love it) but it can affect some SUVs as well. 4. Less mechanically related, go to some dodgy construction place where basically no cars drive around and practice them turns... or even just do 3 loops around each roundabout of your favourite local place that has a million of those. As Conduite Facile said, you need to face your fears - trust me, it really works. A lot of this kind of stuff really comes with experience. Tbh I started driving 2 months ago, and it took a month and a half of continuous, hard driving (not 24/7 lol but i hope you get what I mean xD) to get rid of my general fear of driving. As you get to know what your car likes and what feels extremely dangerous - like driving a van whilst taking a roundabout at 60km/h (which I have actually done lol) - your fear naturally goes away, because you're expecting something and you'll have a high chance of getting what you thought was coming. You naturally fear what you don't know, but you push all the boundaries, get all the theory knocked over and test what you can... and, there the fear goes with the sunset. actually I've also driven 3 cars - a van, SUV and sedan. The sedan's ABS and ESP stopped working before I started driving, the van has no ABS and the SUV's got a dodgy diesel engine. Trust me, it's 100% possible to live without ABS and ESP... it's just less comfortable, but the comfort and skill factor's all up to you - the driver. You just need to keep fighting your fears! :D Psychological stuff isn't easy to fight, and I get that 100%. It's absolutely crucial to remember that stuff takes time. No one gets in a car and starts driving super smooth unless they're super skilled. EDIT: Keep in mind that when you're panicking or extremely nervous, your passengers will feel it in what you do, such as over-correcting your steering or just "being afraid of the brakes", I call it. When you panic, try your best to calm down - tell the car that you control it. Don't let the car control you, because that's when accidents really happen.
Here are some tips for beating the fear of driving 1) Take control of your life. 2) Learn about the power of the mind. 3) Walk in in the tracks of people who have already overcome the fear. I found these tips from the Fergs Driver Dismay (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most helpful info on becoming wealthy & successful that I have ever seen.
Thanks a lot for this video...I am going through this phase now.. purchased a car 2 month back..hardly took it out 5 times..that too on weekends when there is less traffic to an open ground to practice.. will Try to drive in traffic gradually
I am on L plate and crashed my car, now I am anxious to drive alone, my instructors are telling me I am well able to drive alone, but I am still in doubt. This video is what I NEED! Thank you so much! You've taken the doubt in me.
Hi.. I really liked this video.. Few years back when i started learning how to drive, on the very first day i accelerated the car instead of break and banged it badly. Since then I always have this thought in my mind that it might again get accelerated in any emergency situation. I have started learning it once again. But i am not able to overcome this fear. Please help me with this. And do post a video on this.
Thank-you, thank-you so much for this video! I know many people have this and and will be helped tremendously by your fear ladder approach. Your videos are the best!!!👍👍👍💯💯💯
You are spot on about fear of driving for someone who was a passenger in a car accident. I was the passenger and my friend was driving and she ran a redlight. Our car got t boned by a pick up truck and it was on my side. It took me 4 yrs to partially get over it . Mind you I still get butterflies I’m practicing and am hoping to take the road test on Sept.
I passed my driving test and I got a car but I still traveling by bus I have a phobia from driving when I look at my car I feel so scary When i was driving with my instructor i was soooo confident but since I passed my test and I got a car I feel scary and when I think about driving it i start shacking I don’t know what to do I start take lessons on my Car and when I start driving it with my instructor i feel confident but when I try to drive it by myself I feel scary so till now I didn’t drive it by myself and till now i pay my insurance and a buy a bus tickets to go to my university and work Don’t know what to do with this baaaaaad feelings
rita mosees just passed my test the other day (thanks to these vids). Going through the same thing right now. Idk how to explain it but at first with my lp I was super confident but now that I have a license it's frighting. Like now it's official I'm not longer a beginner driver. Now every decision is up to me and I'm accountable for my actions. 😖. It prob doesn't help that I haven't been able to drive much since getting my license so now I feel rusty.
isuk withnames I was in the same position as you and I didn't drive for a while and was scared to drive but the only way to overcome the fear is just to start driving. I actually enjoy driving now 😄👍🏻
I bought my car last 3 months ago and I only drove twice a month...I was scared to drive now because the last time I use it, I went to different direction and get lost... huhuhu! Now i feel so paranoid..
Super mega useful tips!! I'm driving by myself tomorrow at 6am! The last time I drove was on my road test, back in October. Watching your videos gives me peace of mind.
This video is super helpful I wished I’d watched this before my 1st road test lolz I am proud of how far I’ve come!! I’m talking major fear, sweaty palms, heart racing, nervousness etc. Now I am much more confident and relaxed due to practice!!
Awesome videos! I've had my license for a few years but haven't really been driving, now getting back into it your videos have been super helpful in building up confidence and staying safe.
thank you for your videos. they help me a lot. i'm gonna take my driving test soon but i need more confidence. my biggest fears right now is changing lane, free way, and park between two cars. also, two-way stops make me nervous.
I've failed my road test twice due to nerves. Generally when driving with my step dad or mom I'm very comfortable and my instructors from drivers ed even said I was good and I haven't seen them in MONTHS. I'm more confident this time and have gained more experience I just hope my anxiety doesn't get to me
Yup. That's like the people who are the best singers in their basement, but when they're in a room full of people, they freeze. That's absolutely normal. It's our defense mechanism from hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. I've seen some people who drove impeccably doing the weirdest mistakes at the exam.
Conduite Facile thanks for the comment. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. This reassurance and your awesome videos will hopefully pass me in a few weeks lol. Thank you!!
I started getting scared when I was at drivers ed and they just show us vehicle crashes and the dude was always like if you mess up you’ll put lives at risk even your own
I really needed that proverb at the end as I failed my exam two times and I am generally scared and scarred of taking it again. I just felt like the dumbest shit ever when I failed
you forgot to mention that learning better driving skills from resources such as this channel totally demolishes fears. Knowledge is power, and that power can be used to overcome the fear.
^^^ please I have to start driving my dad's lifted truck to school soon and I'm terrified. I can't drive it now because he is away but the day after he returns I have to use the truck
This is an excellent video on fear and driving. It was clear and simple and The "Fear Ladder" is s superb way to view my driving. Highly recommend this video.
Thank you very much! I'm so glad I came into this video, tbh I am scared of driving again. Well here's my story I started my driving lesson last year around April 2016, gained my confidence on the road but I don't have my own car so I don't drive on a regular basis, wasn't able to get my license right away because of complicated paperworks. Got my license around September. Forgot to mention I was pregnant that time then I gave birth October, the Doctor advised me not to drive for 6weeks then December came and I tried driving but I got into an accident. Glad nobody was hurt. That builds up my fear. Up to now I am considering enrolling in a behind the wheel class for another 2 hours maybe 4 hours just to get the hang of it and gain my confidence again.
Thanks for this advice, I will apply it in a situation that had me fearing greatly, I can't express how grateful I am for this ,I know it's supposed to be about driving , but it is much more than that it is priceless, God will bless you, and also the person that gave you this advice
When I first drove... for the first time as a N driver... I was fearless... and did so many lane changes... to the point where someone was laughing at me... now I try to stay in 1 lane
This is more than just learning how to drive... this video is a life lesson!!!
I like to believe so.
True... Especially that mental conditioning bit. Wonder what the artiste was visualizing tho
same thoughts..

I had fear to drive before. I held my driving license for years without driving until one day there was no one to drive me to work. No option I got to drive by myself and after half and a year, I can now drive calmly. Thank god. 😌
Going to be me Wednesday OMG I can relate
Congratulations on overcoming your driving anxiety, which is a huge milestone. So how did you overcome your driving fear? Did you say to yourself one day I am just going to drive by myself no matter what. God Bless.
Great!
im going to practice more on my driving
how did you get your liscence? 😕
Good luck
Just breathe. I passed it first try, but and the only error I got was forgetting where the defogger was... even though I KNOW exactly where it is. Nerves man... I pointed towards the windshield wipers for some reason lmao
I find that being a passenger to a good driver, who constantly scolds at other drivers somewhat helpful for my self-development. For example he'd say:
"Look at that driver pressing his brakes for no reason! This is what causes jams"
"Why is this driver jamming his brakes??"
"Omg cut into my lane without matching my speed?!" *flash*
"Sigh unnecessary braking on a corner. Should brake BEFORE the corner, not during"
"Eating two lanes? I bet this guy is either drunk or on the handphone"
This makes me more self-aware of my driving.
Acromat /ak-roh-mat/ good luck
my biggest fear is gettin into and accident. I dont wanna get hurt by other crazy drivers and i dont want to cause an accident. Also im scared of not being able to take my time, when driving you have to keep a pace and i feel more calm when i get to take my time but if i do other ppl are gonna honk and get crazyyy wit me cuz im being slow. i am also terrified of driving in bad weather. im so paranoid 😩😩😩
same here...
Jayne Skye how your driving now
Jayne Skye pray always
Limwel Jethro Sentones That's right...I'm starting to keep the Bible in my car. I also always try my best to pray every time before I drive
its excatly same what happen with me yesterday i was trying to drive calmly but cars behind of mine keep doing horn but i actually tried to drive slowly so no one get hurt but thats also an issue and my instructer keep yelling at me to speed up but what i do is thinking if i will speed up what will happen if i cant control my speed and might hit someone SO many things going on seriously :(
"Those things you're afraid of will most likely never happen."
I have to say that that is very true.
Praying really help me.

"I know fear is strong, but so are you."
A Legend! Wow. Thanks.
i think i’m getting comfortable with driving but i gotta get more confident
I always kept using the excuse, "I live in NYC, and I don't need a car." Which is true, but mass transit can only take you but so far.
over thinking is my problem when driving but I'm getting better. thanks for the tips.
I'm a new driver. I'm not really good at driving, and only passed my test because I prayed and fasted and God had mercy on me. Anyway, thanks for your videos. I find them very informative. Liked and subscribed. 👍
I dont get that much practice so im just praying that i somehow pass my test
Amen!
How are you doing now ? 😄
God makes no mistakes you got this and so do I
Same dude! 😂 I should have never passed my test, but God is good! 😂

Growing up my family didn't want to be bothered with teaching me how to drive. I'm now an adult and it wasn't until recently that I really got any time behind the wheel with an instructor, and I was terrified.

I really like your perspective on overcoming your driving fear. How are you doing now with driving? Please keep me posted. God Bless.
You got this hope all is well I’m doing the same in Ny watching RUclips videos God got us all
I watched this a year ago and revisit to give my thumbs up.

30 years "old" is still young for a driver's license. Especially if you live in a big city.
2 years later. What's the update? 😊
For me my worst fear while I drive is intersections with no traffic lights or crossing a freeway
yea and the high way im going to study and practice on my driving
Same especially when turning left 😭
Me too ! I freak out and i do mistakes !
Turning left with no designated turn signal 😢
i have a huge fear of driving. i am a slow learner when it comes to it as so much of it is based on experience and judgement. i lack a lot of confidence to control my vehicle too, especially when going at higher speeds or when there's a lot of traffic. i also am scared of being in the way of other drivers or making mistakes on the road. ive seen many times where other experienced drivers aren't as understanding with new drivers, especially when we're trying things for the first time. i get very tense, and have a hard time focusing on so many things at once.
Same here dude. I’m 33 and I never learned to drive because of this phobia. I got it because I witnessed someone get hit by a car when I was about 10 years old. That moment scarred me. I too don’t have that confidence. My main fear is hitting someone or being in an accident myself.
@@LilMexicano20 No one can blame you about this Buddy. You'll get used to it
Wow your thoughts are almost exactly as mine…how are you now?
I'm recommending your vlog to my brother in Montreal who just began his journey to getting a driver's license.
Today i had my first hours of driving and well i did loads of mistakes and felt bad about myself but your videos have really been helpful to watch, so let me just say thank you, i love your work!
wow. I got inspired by this. It's exactly the levels of my fears. Changing lanes, Along trucks and highways! Great advice.
your channel has been very helpful to me.
This guy might be a great teacher in his county
I'm so terrified of parking both parallel and pull in!
think of your rear tires as your pivot points
but make sure you have enough room up front
Ashley Hewlett Youre gorgeous baby 😍
I'm a bit anxious of everything EXCEPT parking lol
The best RUclips channel period

You're welcome and congrats!
You are a LIFESAVER ❗️🙌🏽 Thanks for improving my confidence in both my driving and myself
I have a lot of anxiety when driving, because I got pulled over the first time I went driving. Since then I've been extremely scared of getting pulled over again or getting into an accident.

Conduite Facile I've been waiting for months .. Can't wait to see your videos all 4 or 3 at the same week
Unfortunately they won't be on YT on the same week. These things take a lot of time to make. But they will all be uploaded in the next month.

Here are some general tips that I know of:
1. Make sure your car's ESP is on (some cars call it ESC, but whatever your car calls it it's Electronic Stability Programme renamed several times). If your ESP is off, you will find that when taking corners fast (40 km/h is pretty fast btw) causes the car to lean a bit excessively on the side (right turn -> right side of car, vice versa)
Psychological stuff isn't easy to fight, and I get that 100%.
Here are some tips for beating the fear of driving
1) Take control of your life.
2) Learn about the power of the mind.
3) Walk in in the tracks of people who have already overcome the fear.

I need to watch this everyday to lift up my confidence on driving lessons 🙏
I've failed my road test twice due to nerves. Generally when driving with my step dad or mom I'm very comfortable and my instructors from drivers ed even said I was good and I haven't seen them in MONTHS. Yup. That's like the people who are the best singers in their basement, but when they're in a room full of people, they freeze. That's absolutely normal. It's our defense mechanism from hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. I've seen some people who drove impeccably doing the weirdest mistakes at the exam.

My anxiety was rising from 2:18 to 2:40 lol
I'm so afraid of driving that just watching this video has me in tears and feeling sick
Thank for your help. I passed my test yesterday watching your videos. Peace and Blessings
I like his accent lol
Thanks for this advice, I will apply it in a situation that had me fearing greatly, I can't express how grateful I am for this ,I know it's supposed to be about driving , but it is much more than that it is priceless, God will bless you, and also the person that gave you this advice
When I first drove... for the first time as a N driver... I was fearless... and did so many lane changes... to the point where someone was laughing at me... now I try to stay in 1 lane
