  • Vision in driving- Part 1. In this video: The visual field and where to focus your attention, and why students tend to roll their eyes when turning instead of turning their head. Vision is definitely the most important thing in driving, and it’s one that most accompanying drivers neglect because they don’t even realize that not looking at the right place is an actual problem.

1:21 I think you just changed my whole perspective on life in general with this one, so much can change when you change what you’re focusing on. I was wondering why it was so hard for people to drive and that lil fact you said makes everything clear. Driving is nothing more than everything else in life, you gotta use your eyes to calculate your movements, the only difference is your body is bigger in a car so you have to be real attentive. If not, like you said you can make mistakes like turning too far, braking too late, cutting corners too sharp etc. With that, I’m going to keep in mind that the most important things to remember when driving is where I’m looking in general, where I’m looking to go and how can I maneuver the car with speed and angles to get there. I can’t believe how much easier it is to absorb driving when keeping that info in mind, it makes it less overwhelming and nerve racking. Thank you

A GOOD driving instructor is the secret of safe driving. Simply driving is not too difficult, especially in the modern automatic cars. BUT driving is NOT just going from point 'A' to point 'B'. Reaching there without being a danger and nuisance to others is more important. It is here that instructors like this play an important role !!

Thank you so much. I started learning how to drive 4 days ago and I’ve been struggling with staying in lane and turning, after watching your videos my driving skills have changed drastically, my instructor was shocked today because of how smooth my turnings were and how I stayed very focused and centered in lane, and honestly, I was amazed by myself too! I really can’t thank you enough, this channel is a life saver I mean it literally, so thank you again!!!!

I am a beginner driver. I got my driver's license today. My driving really improved by following this advice. This solves almost all the struggles I have during driving. I will keep revisiting this video and your other videos as I continue to improve in my driving. Thanks!

I have seen almost all of your videos so far. I was actually disappointed when I failed my final road test, but failing gave me the motivation to search and find your super valuable videos. I have never seen such a wonderful explanation and extraordinary efforts before. I spend hours watching your videos one after another and I am all the time focused and fully entertained. I can't thank you enough for making it such enjoyable, informative, and useful.

Look at the solution and not at the problem. Look where you want to go and not where you are going. You hit the nail on the head. Excellent. Keep up the great work. What I like best is your short videos with 100% substance. Love from India...

I had my first driving lesson earlier today and where exactly to look while driving was one of my biggest problems aside from not really understanding how to know when to shift gears and not knowing if im centered or not. Im so glad youtube has a lot of well-explained and visuals-heavy lessons like this!!
