nothing in this movie makes sense, no control group for the test making it worthless waste of time, killing the participants is meaningless and makes the test even more meaningless, the lockdown is stupid, you would never install such a security system on a vacility where you hold volunteer's for any form of medical trials, keeping such vital and sensitive information in such a easy to reach location where anyone can just walk in and take it is absurd, whats the point in walling off the incinerator room? why is the incinerator so damn big? there is no way anyone would design such a dumb thing that has zero warning anywhere that allow you to turn it on with the doors open, walk in and close teh doors then it activates, and breaking their way through that much concrete with a fireman axe? in such a short time? thats just not ever going to happen.

How is it or what is double blind when all participants were drugged? DB means neither participant nor scientist knows who received the drug and who received the placebo.

@hazell9156 The doctors only kept him alive at the request of his family. I’m very familiar with that case and the narrative regarding it, but it’s just not true. Letting him die would’ve been against the medical ethics of the time AND against his family’s wishes. They weren’t experimenting on him for some perverse curiosity, they were doing their job.

That movie could’ve been good, but it was too stupid with the premise, way better watching it with you and your narration. I mean, we never even find out what the fucking medication was supposed to ultimately do.
A better ending would be Clair waking up, and turning out to be schizophrenic or something, and not recognizing the doctors. The doctors then administer her with dementia medication, along with other medication.
That plot twist, would have been a crazy and 100x more interesting ending.
That's just dream theory with extra steps...

We use research to acquire advancements that benefit the people in society. While we do accept some level of risk in research, it must always be minimized and weighed against what we seek to gain.

Has to be the most depressing film I can imagine seeing. While it's a horror film, it obviously examines the ethics if big pharma. But, of course I have to ask what in the world is that doctor doing? She could easily bow out of the trial and warn the participants. Plus, it's not even a double blind study. Everyone seems to get the drug which means no control group and not even a valid study. It makes no sense. Either way, I think for my own sanity, I won't see it.
there's no apparent reason to kill all the test subjects also... wouldn't you at least want to see what happened to them? Burke said that they had developed neurological complications and also some kind of immunocomprisation was occurring--wouldn't you want to learn more details about that?
