Techno gets my heart beating and blood pumping. BUT... Orchestral does that, AND gets my mind going and thoughts flowing! Thanks for making this, and kudos on that 500.
How did you make this? It sounds so pretty! Also, I wanted to arrange this for a band at my school and if there was sheet music to it, I would reallllllyyyy love if I could possibly use that. :)
Orchestra is epic. Nightmare Night is epic. Combine these two together, and you have this - 3 minutes of absolute eargasmic awesomeness, which is an understatement, because words cannot describe how awesome this piece is.
Don't know why I never subbed you before, this reminded me to do that right away. Truly epic! Can't wait to hear vocal version, although this stands on its own.
Amazing. Love it. Your use of brass and the powerful woodwinds really give the strings something to look up to. And the use of the percussion really tops it off. Well done good sir.
@JoshLohMusic I'm sure I actually was :D You're both amazing at orchestral covers, so I guess I was confused for a second. Nothing intended. But yeah, as I've said before, this is truly an amazing piece. Made it into my music playlist (that means you can be proud; it's like you got a RUclips Oscar and Grammy.)
I love this version, almost better than the MIDI. On note if you do a remix, keep the piano solo in the song. That is literally the best part of the entire song!
Alright, here is my review...this was AMAZING, I just loved the increasing tone as it went, this just sounds magnificent, really astounding job. It proved me wrong, I didn't think I would like it, how wrong I was.
Very very nice! I loved the vibraphone with the piano at the beginning. Though, I felt the crescendo could be smoothed out a bit more... somehow. Not sure exactly how. Otherwise, this is brilliant. ^.^ What sampler do you use?
I'm in the middle of creating sheet music for a symphonic school orchestras as we speak. However, I did ask for Stormwolf's midi version, but he never replied, so I've had to use Firelances piano sheet music as a guide line, than tab this and use Glaze's midi get it right. It's proving pretty difficult, especially since I'm not entirely sure a school orchestra could play it. Still, I'm hoping to get it up soon!
orchestra is kinda just a general term for a ensemble of strings. to be more specific, when its stringed instruments, wind instruments, and percussion together, its a symphonic orchestra (or philharmonic orchestra). this arrangement would probably be for a symphonic orchestra.
@MrJackolicious The piano in the beginning pretty much the same, with some extra orchestral backing... But if you mean the piano sound itself, I wouldn't be able to replicate it exactly unless I had the same samples/soundfonts that Glaze uses. But the notes are the same
Sounds like it could be a Halloween battle music in Elemental Dinosaurs. Perhaps for an exclusive event I'm willing to call "Hybridosaur Halloween" (Japanese: 雑種竜の悪夢日 Zasshuryuu no Akumu-bi).
Yeah, I've got a midi ready to go. But - ouch is it hard. I re-orchestrated At The Gala for my school, and they're finding that difficult, so my hopes for making this piece ready to roll and rumble are pretty low. Perhaps we can work something out about it?
Disc One Final Boss Music, right here. (I say disc one only because Nightmare Moon is more fitting as the fake ultimate enemy than the actual ultimate enemy.)
@palumboman55 Wow, you read my mind, I was just thinking of doing that next :D I'll probably be bust with some other music projects before that one gets done though
I found this before the original version. it is the first fan music I listened too (because it said Orchestral) I was blown away... I havent found a MLP song I Love more (well, maybe I like לעוף (Fly) almost as much, because israeli rock is just awesome!)
Hey Josh Loh/StormWolf, Is it okay if I use this song in a video of mine? I'll give you credit in the description (And in the video too if you want to).
@JoshLohMusic Awesome! I have no doubts that it will be incredible. I find it annoying when people use techno/dubstep-ish sounds just to fill the same roles that the electric guitars are supposed to fill.
i always love the original more. i must say this sounds almost like Christmas music. Still, it does sound very nice, it just doesn't say "Nightmare Night".
Techno gets my heart beating and blood pumping. BUT...
Orchestral does that, AND gets my mind going and thoughts flowing! Thanks for making this, and kudos on that 500.
Every time I turn around, somepony has made something new and awesome. This blew me away.
I had an Eargasm the entire time
Fillies and gentlecolts! Welcome to the nightmare night circus!
Finding this was like rediscovering my favorite song of all time. The part at 1:12 nearly made me shed a tear. That was absolutely beautiful.

Don't know why I never subbed you before, this reminded me to do that right away. Truly epic! Can't wait to hear vocal version, although this stands on its own.
Just heard this on Luna Radio! Had to come check it out. Love it!!!!!!
Amazing. Love it. Your use of brass and the powerful woodwinds really give the strings something to look up to. And the use of the percussion really tops it off. Well done good sir.

Perfect Boss Battle Music. Reminds me a bit of Sonic Games, for some reason.

You are a genius. A pure genius. This is great! Love the music, insta-subscribe!
Awesome!
The first part of this gives me a very strong Zelda Boss Battle vibe. I am okay with this.
And this is why I'm subscribed :)
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU SO GOOD.
@miniemor Wha, I've never had an 'e' at the end of my name xD
You sure you're not getting confused with "MusicalWolfe"?
Y U SO AWESOME?
I second this motion.
so good
Oh god, that orchestrated synth lead~~
I like this song quite a bit, it just sounds so deliciously evil, especially without any lyrics.
@TrueBloodTimeLord EVERYTHING
I just finished arranging this for concert band with midi included.
DAMNIT I MADE IT 3:15 INSTEAD OF 3:14
Oh well...
This would be the PERFECT boss battle song.
Sounds like it could be a Halloween battle music in Elemental Dinosaurs. Perhaps for an exclusive event I'm willing to call "Hybridosaur Halloween" (Japanese: 雑種竜の悪夢日 Zasshuryuu no Akumu-bi).
Too beautiful for words... T.T My sister is learning it by ear.
@JoshLohMusic Something tells me those child choir samples are the same as mine. Are they soundfonts by any chance?
I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on the link...

This is fantastic. Every bit as awesome as the original.

Another Awesome Arrangement Josh! Got any lyrics? XD
Favorited, liked. Like the normal better, but if I'm not in the mood for rap this is where I'll be.
@Sericification My thought exactly!
I CAME D:< " quote of princess molestia is the perfect reaction for this music
I'm saying "SHIT YES!!" in toungues. Thank you for this.
i absolutely love it!!! one request... MORE LOW BASS VOICE, SUCH AS LOW BRASS AND LOW REEDS!! PLEASE!?
I second this! String Bass minimum.
I found this before the original version. it is the first fan music I listened too (because it said Orchestral) I was blown away... I havent found a MLP song I Love more (well, maybe I like
לעוף (Fly) almost as much, because israeli rock is just awesome!)
Fucking. Amazing.
Could it be possible to get sheet music for this?
yeaaaa
@eddmario Me rapping? On Orchestral music? Pony, you crazy~
If this were to be in Fighting is Magic, THIS would be Nightmare Moon's battle theme :P
I've only just gotten into this show, but I'll be /really/ disappointed if this is not Luna's leitmotif. XD
@JoshLohMusic hmm, i figured that would be the reason. well, regardless, excellent song. hand lots of fun listening to it. ^^
This reminds me of like a Mario RPG battle music :P I love it so much more than the original, that one made my ears bleed
Huzzah!
What happened to StormwolfE? I liked the 'e' D:
Anyway, famazing cover, as always. I wuff you :3
@TrueBloodTimeLord SO right! i have listened to other MLP music, not as good as Orchestral! I demand more!
Hey Josh Loh/StormWolf, Is it okay if I use this song in a video of mine? I'll give you credit in the description (And in the video too if you want to).
@JoshLohMusic Can I use this for a little hobby motion picture. I'll credti you ofc
Can easily see this playing at the entrance of the same Haunted Trail Luna'll be running next Nightmare Night. ^.^
is there sheet music for symphonic band at all? i would like to give it to my band director
@ADRockstroh I will actually do that if I can get a non-wrecked guitar lead (my current one is annoyingly broken D:) and some heavy metal vsts :D
oomhph mah jams are satisfied
@eddmario Already done ;D
Haven't been bothered to export it yet though...
Cool story bro
@TrueBloodTimeLord So true!
I would love to have that sheet music.
It kinda sounds like banjo kazooieesqe boss music, neat!
