I cant believe this song is now 10 years old, I remember listening to it for the first time in 2014, cant believe how fast times passes by. I wish WoodenToaster never left.
And yet, after all this time, here you are at the 10 year anniversary. Time is indeed an interesting phenomenon. I too feel like it has not been nearly so long in ways, yet it has been a far longer time in other ways I feel. Luckily nowhere near 1000 years, although sometimes I fret that that's what I would need for my character development. Well well, such is time! But oh are there good ones.
I'm... 18 now. I'll never find my original comment. I can't believe I'm back, this song still speaks to my soul, by which I mean the part of me that misses this so very much. I know the comments are just riddled with condolences of nostalgia and melancholy, but I'm so happy that, even if it was such a happy time, it was a part of my past, and a genuinely nontoxic fandom, to my knowledge. These songs, with Mic the Microphone, WoodenToaster, TLT, H8, JackleApp, and so many more that deserve recognition, even if it's post mortem (by which I mean their time, not them... hopefully), have made me and so many more happy, and they still manage to be genuine 200% bops, thank you, not just the creators, but my peers in this fandom, for making me and so many more (judging by the comments) so happy.
I feel this, turned 18 a few months back and just had to revisit old times. The shiver of nostalgia I feel for these songs is wonderful and I still adore Mlp FIM despite it being long gone now.

this fandom was always stereotyped as neckbeards living in their parents basement. that never changed in the public. even in the brony fandoms golden age people stereotyped the fandom as neckbeards. however in its golden age the fandom was a community and safe haven of acceptance. people shunned by society were welcomed in the fandom those with open minds. it resulted in a mosh pit of creativity, passion, and talent. most of that talent has left now with the open acceptance and positivity.
Today marks the 10 year anniversary since the release of this song. Time has moved so fast, as it always does in the end. This is one of my favourite songs of all time and it always will be. If RUclips is still up and running and it all works in 10 years you can bet that you will still find me here. Five or six years ago, this song is what got me curious about My Little Pony. First, I heard it in a little flipnote on my DSi and after listening to it a few times, I wanted to hear the full song. So one day, I got on my laptop and type some of the lyrics in the RUclips search bar, because I didn't know the name of the song. This video pops up and I start listening. I think to myself, "This is a really good song." Then I read the lyrics in the description. "Wait..." I say. "Fillies and gentlecolts? That has to be a mistake." Then I start really paying attention to the lyrics and the cover art. I quickly put it all together and realize, "Oh my god, this a fan song for that pony show I've been hearing about!" After a lot of denial about liking a pony fan song, I finally decided that if people are spending the time and effort to write and compose songs of this show, I might as well check it out. Y'know, see what's so great about it. So late that night, I look up the first episode on RUclips. I put on my headphones, turned the volume low, and started watching. After the episode ending, I thought, "Well that wasn't too bad, but I think I watch one more episode before i give a full judgement on it." Now, I'm watching the second episode. Then the third. The fourth. Before I knew it, I had spend the entire night binge watching the first season. When the first signs of morning started creeping through my window, I pause the episode was on and took my headphones off. I continued to sit there, on my bed, silently accepting the fact that I had completely enjoyed that entire season of crazy, technicolor ponies. After laying down and finally getting some sleep, I got back to my computer and continued watching ever episode I could. That is, until i had reached the end of season three, which had ended just before I discovered this song. I was little disappointed. Mostly, because of how short the season was, but also because I had thought that it was the last episode of the series. Then season four had started, and I've been happily watching ever since. And that is story of how I became a brony overnight! All because of this song. :) Jeez... Why did I really type all that out?...

There's no way I describe this song other than, "Wow!" It's been nine years, NINE FREAKING YEARS, since this song was first released, and it still feels fresher than ever. This not only captures Nightmare Night in the MLP universe in the perfect way, but even with Nightmare Before Christmas, i've never found a better song for Halloween. Definitely listening to this song on Halloween, whether I go trick-or-treating or not. I know I'm 16, when most people would be considered too old for that kind of thing, but I'm only 5 foot one and have been mistaken for being younger countless times, so I can pass! But that is if I decide to go trick-or-treating, because I still haven't made that decision yet. Now, I'm gonna go work on a horror story I've been writing and work on my Jaine Austen Halloween costume (no, I did not misspell that name).

When I was young, I had my computer set up in the living room, the same room as the TV. My sister would watch MLP on the TV. Instead of me playing video games on my computer I’d just watch MLP with my sister. Good times.
I am in no way a brony, but good lord, Toaster, your music is some of the best out there right now. I've been listening to Awoken before I even knew what a brony was, it's probably one of my favorite songs right now. You're very talented, never stop the hard work.
H8 seed is mostly responsible for Awoken, but yea, Nightmare Night, R. Factory, as well as most of the songs Toaster puts out are most certainly awesome
going through all these songs again because i miss this fandom so much. i don't know if anything will ever create the same feelings this fandom brought me back when i was in middle school and obsessed with it.
What I find so cool about this is that the melodies aren't really overtly scary. Much like Luna early on, it's seemingly just kind of scary without trying to be.
I was apart of this community all the way back in 2012 and decided to revisit the show tonight with my friend and everything still holds up. I honestly really miss this time in my life and community in general. Your music along with The Living Tombstone changed everything for me and I think this was the first real online community that I was involved in. I wish I could go back and relive the peak of the brony fandom but I know those days have long since passed. At least this music and the memories still remain. Thank you.

a bit late, but hi everypony! it's been ten years! we've made it for ten incredible years i'm almost twenty at this point, and haven't really bothered with the fandom for the last four or so years even so i come back to this specific song and some others to relive those wild haydays, and i'm sure many of you do too i'm sure many of you, like me, are now pursuing higher education and an actual future in a field of your own choosing. i'm sure some of you are at this very moment in some army barracks, maybe some of you are in a mechanic shop as well. i'm sure we're all everywhere, doing something because we either wanted it or it just happened but for the briefest moment we're all reunited here, a place of nostalgia and fun for all of us we all had our fandom dramas, we all had our incredible stories, that one OC we *swore* was the best thing ever written. we all grew and learned with this fandom, and we all changed. what did not change was this song, or how incredible it is i suppose i'm just trying to say: i wish you all the best, no matter where you are. i owe my success to this song, funnily enough here's to another 10 incredible years, o7 everypony

Nightmare night 2024 and still listening.
There's no way I describe this song other than, "Wow!" It's been nine years, NINE FREAKING YEARS, since this song was first released, and it still feels fresher than ever. This not only captures Nightmare Night in the MLP universe in the perfect way, but even with Nightmare Before Christmas, i've never found a better song for Halloween. Definitely listening to this song on Halloween, whether I go trick-or-treating or not.
I know I'm 16, when most people would be considered too old for that kind of thing, but I'm only 5 foot one and have been mistaken for being younger countless times, so I can pass! But that is if I decide to go trick-or-treating, because I still haven't made that decision yet.

I was apart of this community all the way back in 2012 and decided to revisit the show tonight with my friend and everything still holds up. I honestly really miss this time in my life and community in general. Your music along with The Living Tombstone changed everything for me and I think this was the first real online community that I was involved in. I wish I could go back and relive the peak of the brony fandom but I know those days have long since passed. At least this music and the memories still remain. Thank you.

i'm almost twenty at this point, and haven't really bothered with the fandom for the last four or so years
even so i come back to this specific song and some others to relive those wild haydays, and i'm sure many of you do too
i'm sure many of you, like me, are now pursuing higher education and an actual future in a field of your own choosing. i'm sure some of you are at this very moment in some army barracks, maybe some of you are in a mechanic shop as well. i'm sure we're all everywhere, doing something because we either wanted it or it just happened
but for the briefest moment we're all reunited here, a place of nostalgia and fun for all of us
we all had our fandom dramas, we all had our incredible stories, that one OC we *swore* was the best thing ever written.
