She approached facial plastic surgeon Dr. Edwin Williams because she was primarily bothered by her sagging jawline and jowls. Her neck didn't bother her as she is on the younger side, but she explained that the heaviness in the lower part of her face made her look older.
This patient chose a weekend facelift because she wanted a procedure that could be done under local anesthesia. The weekend facelift was innovated by Dr. Williams, and it addresses the jawline as well as corrects any sagging or wrinkles on the face.

@@fatimakhamishi!! Well I am almost 2 months since my surgery. I am extremely happy with a mini facelift. I would highly recommend. But from all the videos that I seen I had experienced a much different recovery time. It takes about three weeks before you fully feel good to be up and about and moving around. I am still swollen on my cheekbones and my jaws towards my neck. It is still very uncomfortable to sleep. You have to kind of sleep sitting up still. It is definitely not a "weekend" facelift so if you do the mini, I would just prepare for at least a few weeks of working from home or downtime. I just had expected from all the videos I saw that my recovery be extremely fast. However everything just takes time but the results are well worth it!!

I am 8 weeks out almost and I still got a black mark under my one eye looks like a dark circle but it's black eye that never went away. Not sure if it's supposed to take this long my ears are still numb. And the one side of my face is still sore when you push on it. I'm still using soft pillows to lay on at night because my gel pillows are too hard for my face.
I had it done and it was very painful I don’t get why everyone makes it seem like a walk in the park hurt so much swollen tight stitches poking u uhhh I know I’ll look great I can see it so yes it’s worth it .. Beauty is pain!

@@Mangolija Wee it has been a year now and my neck looks like it has thick cords in it. The Doc keeps having me come in monthly for steriod injections. To be honest I liked my neck better before. Also, he filled in with fat injections and left a big dimple on my jaw lline that also looks really

Thank you for posting this. I get this done next month. The only thing that it different is I went to 4 consultations and each one said to not use ice. The skin is too thin and it could do more harm then good 🙌

I was told no ice, too, in bold and with exclamation mark.
Ladies ,it is not a quick recovery.It’s extremely hard both physically and emotionally. Be prepared for at least a couple of months.Depression comes with it. It is by no means an easy process.

Yes, absolutely true. It's been 2 months since my face lift and upper blepharoplasty. And as you said. Some days I'm losing my mind cause I can't take it. And so fed up with that swelling. The face feels hard as a rock. And the pain from time to time is annoying

Finally, someone telling the real truth. The first month is horrible...stay away from the mirror as much as possible. Agree with two months before you feel normal again.
I was surprised to hear you’re taking so much ibuprofen directly after surgery, I was told it causes bruising & bleeding and thus to use only Tylenol. 🤔
Same. I’m 4 days out. Took pain meds now down Tylenol no ibuprofen. Was not supposed to talk much for 72 hours
You are exactly right! Don't take weeks before, during or for a few weeks.
I just had breast lift and implant removal and took ibuprofen for days and only a tiny small light bruise that went way quick.
I was prescribed ibuprofen not just for pain, but inflammation, too. Maybe that's why so many are experiencing prolonged swelling, not taking ibuprofen.

I had mine done today. No pain yet. I was told not to use ibuprofen. I'm taking arnica pills and hoping they will speed up bruising recovery. Thank you for posting
Did you do a mini? If so did your cheeks inadvertently lift a little from smas being pulled to the ear?

I don’t understand how every video I watch people recuperate so quickly. I am three weeks post op and I still have bruising under my eyes, behind my ears is so tight it feels terrible. I mean I look great. He did a great job but I cannot stand this feeling. I am swollen, the side of my face is numb and tight.
You are not alone. This is what most patients experience. I wish more people including surgeons would be more honest about the real recovery experience.
12 days out.some facial bruising. Sides of my face still numb,Behind ears lumpy and very sensitive to touch. Neck very tight, swelling way down but pretty neck uncomfortable .
You are not alone. Most patients take at least 2 months before things settle down to tolerable levels, but it takes many months to get your final results without swelling or numbness. That's why they say it takes a year to completely heal.

Hola I had a half and nil lift 4 days ago and I think I have come out ok still swollen but not to much brusing you look amazing I don’t think I look any different
Hellow I just hade my done 1 week ago swelling going down but I can not hear well. Sweeling around ears numness still around ear area is it normal? You look great

My mother wants to get that surgery..until what week did your face felt back to normal 0 pain when touching or laying in bed, sleeping on your tummy? And what was the price? If pay on payment does it have intrest ?

You must be fine by now, since this post is from 9 months ago. I believe there must be some factors on how this experience must be. Mine was traumatic. To the point that if at the end there is something that still needs to be fixed, I won't do it even if they bribe me with money. I am not a whimp, though. I've gone through 11 surgeries before. But nothing prepared me for this. Today is my third week and I am still swollen, even doing everything I am supposed to do. The discomfort is terrible; sometimes is plain pain. He told me I will be swollen for months and that everything I am feeling is completelly normal. He is a very respected doctor, so I have decided to suck it up and hope this is just my healing pace. I can't stand the idea of going to another doctor only to hear him say that he needs to revise the surgery. Those were some of the most painful hours of my life; it won't happen again.

A lot of Doctors do the mini lift as an outpatient so no charge for the Hospital.
I still have to pay $2500 just for my surgeon to use their outpatient center. :(
@@denaelawson2132me too but thankfully only $1000. In the end I'm not getting what I want because only doing a mini verses full but 5k less than full facelift so it's a compromise.

Voice and size of hands----I think this is a trans-woman. Her experience may be different, because being born a biological male, she will have thicker skin than will bio women, and will heal differently.

A nice shape of jaw... but many other issue. Hairline is so far up. From facelift? I am 50 years old man and have a lower hairline!

Hmmm. I think she looked better before quite honestly.
I do like her before look better as well. At the moment. But she's only a week after surgery, so she's still swollen. I had mine done 14 days ago and I'm still swollen. Not the way I was the first week, but still swollen. You're not going to see the final result until a few months past surgery. I've read you're going to look the best in your 6th month.
That can't be a before. Looks like two different angles of the after.
