    Thank you. I have those bumps and it was a real relief to hear you say they will go away. I am doing my massage every day, and I am at 12 weeks post. My doctor has not been concerned and said just keep massaging, but it really makes me feel better to hear you confirm that too. Except for those bumps my results are beautiful. I am 64 and I really think I look about 35. Lovely.

      Yes the bumps are pretty unsettling. It’s a concern, because it looks like you'll end up with chipmunk cheeks or the jowls are still going to be there. So it's a relief to know that this is normal and will go away.

    Dr. Kopelman please show some of your before and after results. I am considering a 'full' procedure, including fat transfer.

    Thank you Dr. Joel - We don't see such a sympathetic plastic surgeon everyday. Do you believe that entering price ranges, even estimations would help us? I am considering it, but have no idea about prices.

    Thank you so much for posting this video. I am 6 days post op for face, neck, and brow lift. I am suppose to get my drains removed tomorrow but the forehead drain is still pretty red. Is this normal? I am not in any pain at this point but the anxiety and depression are very real.

    • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  Год назад +2

      Yes! This is very normal. You should expect swelling for a 1-2 weeks before your recovery starts to really become apparent.

    Dr. Kopelman what kind of massage do you recommend? I am 10 days post-op and still swollen, I also have those bumps, and one of my eyes is more swollen than the other. I am using a lot of cold packs. I am 65. Thank you.

      Lymphatic massage is sometimes helpful if you can find a competent person to do this technique

      No a neck lift really coffins the improvement to the neck. There is an incision behind the ear as well . A" mini lift " lifts the face upward and involves a more extensive incision and manipulation of tissue.

    I did a lower face and neck lift overseas, the doctor left the drain only one day , my neck was triple the size , I didn’t know I have a seroma and the doctor denied it, after looking so many pictures on line , I know I’m having a seroma and the doctor didn’t do anything about it, I’m back to the USA 9 days after the surgery, I’m still suffering from seroma , it’s been 13 days after surgery, I’m using heating pads on my neck .
    Any recommendations?? I’m worrying that I got a botch neck lift job

    • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  2 месяца назад +1

      My recommendation is that a seroma catheter should be inserted into the offending area. Seromas may arise from any of the salivary glands - submandibular or parotid. The drain stays in place until he drainage stops which will happen in a week or less in most cases.

      @@drkopelman my doctor didn’t do that sadly, he let me deal with , you’re right it’s caused because of the removal of salivary glands removal

      After the sutures have been removed. And you have waited 7-10 days you have nothing to worry about

    Thank you Dr Kopelman. I am six weeks post op from a deep plain face and neck lift. I developed a seroma on my neck and now continue to have swelling under my chin and a bogginess beneath the swelling. Will this be permanent? I am going for massage and lymphatic drainage twice a week. I massage it myself three times a day. Sleeping on a wedge pillow and still using my chin strap at night.I have had one of three Fraxel dual treatments and one Kenalog injection. I’m very depressed about how it looks. In your experience, will this likely resolve or will I need a revision next year? Thank you so much for your thoughts.

    I'm 11 days post op and my face is so swollen and resembles an alien. I fear that I will be stuck like this and that my natural face shape won't return. I'm very depressed.

    Do you sleep sitting up? Thank you

    • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  8 месяцев назад +4

      No you do not need to sleep sitting up. I just recommend that patients sleep elevated with pillows after surgery for the first 7-10 days to help decrease swelling.
