Would have liked to see the cabin and food service.
For me is very important on the ferry

As A sea travel vlogger, you should include the area of accommodation in your video so that your audience will know what is inside and what to do inside when you are on board that vessel. 🚢⚓

I took this ferry in Feb 2015, same route. I chose the shared (male) sleeping room and pilled up on ramen noodles before departure. Great experience overall! Would recommend in a heartbeat!
Very grateful for your wonderfully clear, inclusive, and informative ferry runs. Thank you thank you thank you!
Very nice trip, I didn't know many of those areas of the inland sea of Japan, in fact I hadn't noticed that they had that area of water between the islands. It has been very interesting and beautiful, thank you very much for publishing it
Looks like a great trip! I would have wanted to see your cabin as well as any other facilities used by passengers. The scenery was fascinating, but I had hoped to see more of the onboard activity as well.
A nice and clear presentation; congratulations! Thanks for sharing.
excellent and very informative video!i enjoyed this very much, keep em coming!
Another great trip report! Thank you for taking us on that journey with you! 👍 Bests Chris
Beautiful footage. Strong editing and production with interesting information. 👍👍👍
Excellent video, one of the best.
Very educational. On-line booking shows fares from Shanghai to Osaka are about half the fares from Osaka to Shanghai.
I'm Visa China. No visa Japan India passport ferry enjoy
Fascinating! We went to Shanghai last year but only for one day, so we barely scratched the surface. We also called at Osaka and were able to get the Shin-ko-San to Kyoto. Thank you for uploading this.
Shodo-Island is known for its olives and indeed it's nickname is 'Olive Island'. Hence the 'Olive Line' ferries that shuttle between it and Honshu/Shikoku.
Another fascinating upload, thanks for your time, its much appreciated 👍👍
Great video. Thanks for sharing this video 👍🏻
your best video so far. All ways look forward to your uploads
Glad you like them, hope to post some more soon when I get time to edit them.
Such an enjoyable video. Wonderful scenery, even though the weather wasn't at its best. Fabulous to see. Thank you for posting. Cheers from Australia!
Fantastic trip! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Greetings from Gothenburg.
That was excellent Diesel, thanks for posting this video.
Very good, relaxed video. Thank you ! 🇳🇱
Done this boat twice, once in 1993 and the next in 2000. Good times, everybody was puking and I was the only Gwailo first time. Shanghai had donkeys and carts lol. The trip up from the sea to Shanghai was spectactular.
Fascinating trip. Thanks for sharing with us.
Love it! Perfectly show us what the old-fashioned travel looks like though there are hundreds of flights between China and Japan daily :)
Excellent video. Thanks
Glad you liked it
Extremely informative. Thank you so much! It’s (contraction of it is) so well produced and edited. Its (possessive to the video...so no apostrophe) producer is very professional. I look forward to seeing many more samples of your work. Best wishes, Rob.
Glad you liked it, I have a few more videos coming when I get a chance to edit them :)
This is a great geography lesson. Fascinating! Thanks.
This is a really great trip. I took the other vessel on this routing, the Xin Jian Zhen, going the same way because its outdoor deck wraps around and permits unobstructed views up front. Highly recommended. (Btw, Shanghai now has 17 lines in operation and more under construction.)
Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Thank You for a very informative and realistic enjoyable film ,I feel that I am on this boat journey with you and the illustrations you added were perfect !
Thanks for watching it👍
Thank You for uploading
Brilliant video....Thank you for sharing.
Extremely informative and well edited video! My hats off to you.
Great video! ... so informative and well recorded ... two thumbs up!
You're videos are awesome, I don't normally watch this sort of thing but I really like watching these ferry journeys 🤣🤷♂️ guess its my new thing lol
Thank you for this , was pretty cool , i was goign to ask from japan to busan ferry and you already covered that , thank you so much
You're work is really beautiful. Thank you!
were you not allowed to film your accommodations?
Glad you like like it, I was sharing a dorm room with others so I did not take any photos of it, however there’s all types of accommodation on that ship depending on your budget. Just have a look at their website if you are interested in it.I don’t remember seen any do not film signs anywhere on that ship. Thanks for your comment.

thank you, fascinating and informative.
Wonderful video thanks it was very educational.
Thanks for your sharing
GREAT IDEAS FOR TRAVEL. THANK YOU
Just found your channel today and I must say I am surprised how much I enjoyed it having seen quite a bit of your content today (lockdown!). To be honest my usual transport channels involve air travel (Paul Lucas) and trains (Geoff Marshall)..... a lot of trains! My only sea travel experience is short ferry crossings (Swansea - Cork /, Straenraar, / Belfast, Dover / Calais, and Plymouth / Santander). Your channel has opened my eyes to new adventures when this damn pandemic is over. Interesting to see your downloaded RUclips content for downtime, Astrophysics is my field. Have subscribed and liked.
Enjoyed this vid 👍
Excellent video. I enjoyed it very much. So interesting. Thank you.
very beautiful vedio.really enjoyed.thank you very much.please send some more vedios like this
Exlant video.
Thanks for your effort
Excellent not exlant
Very interesting...again I had no idea that a ferry ran between these ports. You have made me aware of a whole new method of getting around and I will look into taking some ferries next time I go to Europe...thanks
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching:)
Hi, wonderful, astonishing, amazing !
Great video, I plan to do this trip one day . Thanks
Beautiful trip
Beautiful information
Thanks for sharing
AMAZING FOOTAGES. 110/100
as good as actually being there, thanks..
Thanks for sharing such a nice video.
Great video! very long voyage...
This was truly fascinating. You had me salivating, wishing I was a fellow traveller. Not many pax, by the look of things? Keep up the good work.
I think mainly cargo and truck drivers. The truck drivers are usually put up in 5 star accommodation onboard, separated from the regular travellers. At least that's how they do it on New Zealand ferries
Amazing journey😊
this excursion will remember always in my sweet memories. I wish I see Japan and China.
Very comprehensive briefing...
I am also planning similar route from Shanghai > Osaka > Maizuru > Ortua too.
Thank you for your information
Compared to Japanese domestic ferry, the vessel is below the standard (no Onsen on deck / food and catering choices). Anyway it still a great experience
This is an awesome trip I want to do now. Looks fun. The video was awsome
Incredible. Like London in day days of Empire.
The centre of international trade today. Great video. All those ships ...
Nice to see where all the stuff i buy on ebay comes from
Fantastic
Thanks for the video! I will be doing this trip early next month and can't wait to get on board!
Magnificent view from osaka to shanghai.
Glad you liked it, thanks for for watching
Great video thanks :-)
Very informative. Are there any cabin on the ship? What is a price for the trip you made?
amazing
Oh man, the food on the ferry looks delicous and I like Tsingtao beer.
Wow.. Happy journey.
Absolutely incredible. 2 thumbs up if I could. Thank you. Do you have a sleeping cabin on these long trips?
Nicely done 👍
great trip thank you for the video my friend
Glad you liked it
@@msmarinediesel1843 thanks always interesting thanks MS
New subscriber. I love to take ferry rides. Back before I retired I often went of the Cape May - Lewes ferry that went from New Jersey to Maryland.
Very good vid !!!!
Would have liked to see more of the inside of the Ship!
you got another Subscriber for your fine and entertaining Video. greetings from germany :)
excellent
i have 594 days at sea LB OS Chef i been to Sasebo thank you for posting please keep them coming to Fair winds Following Seas
good job filming it, nice trip/cruise, how long did it take for the round trip? how often do you travel by ferry?
Nice video. Very informative. How much was the cost of the ticket on the ferry? I'd appreciate hearing more details about the type of ticket, etc., as I might consider taking this ferry someday.
Now this video was particularly interesting as this seemed less of ‘touristy’ ferry crossing. The food also looked really fresh and nutritional. You said that you went for the cheap accommodation but didn’t show what it was like. I hope that it was ok!
Some nice food and views on that trip, did not show accommodation because I was sharing with other people, think there was about 6 or 7 others in the dorm room I was in.
The port of London used to look like that until decimalisation. When the rest of the wold worked out how much the English were charging they went elsewhere.
actually it was due to the changing nature of cargo handling and particularly containerization., It moved downriver to Tilbury.
Another great video. Where you the only passenger? Looked very quiet onboard.
I watched "Michael Palin - Around the world in 80 days", he did the route heading east, the ship was also empty!
Amazing Vid Ferry Trip. I guess you re a Marine Surveyor by Profession. Good Job.
Wow a Japanese built ferry constructed in 1992 that is flagged and registered in China sailing from Kobe to Shanghai carrying passengers and freight.
Very NICE video, wish there could have been some engine room shots.
I'm a retired Marine Cargo Specialist (Before that I retired fm The US Coast Guard)....Worked moving military cargo (loading/unloading) fm the port of Jacksonville, Fl
I almost took a ferry from North Kyoto prefecture to Hokkaido, but I wasn't impressed with the accommodations, so I ended up flying from Kansai International to New Chitose. I was hoping to see what the sleeping place looked like.
Seems like there was only one passenger on the crossing. Not another sole to be seen on board! The only people seen were two fisherman in their trawler on the open sea and a few workers at the dock on arrival. A very good video all the same!
I was hoping to see the cheapest accommodation.
You saw it..... The deck !
Congratulations
i did it in 2009 the other way around great trip.
Greetings from Brunei
Just came across your video. Very nice trip video.
The price of the meal was not too bad at ¥500.
Wish the pandemic is over soon, and we will be able to make the same trip.
Narratively very well.
great video and nice ferry!:) we like travel with my familly crossing the English channel to visit my English 's friends (from Dieppe France to Newhaven England ) but it's a short crossing only 4 hours ...lol !
Nice. As a master I crossed the Shimonoseki straits many times, the first one with a pilot, the others by myself and can tell you when the tidal curent is at it's maximum, you are in for something........
I commend on your presentation
most interesting BE WELL :) :) :)
Wonderful video with very informative annotations - makes me want to take this trip myself. Too bad about that awful air pollution in Chinese cities.
