motor week presentation, dress, music, speech tone is so old=school. LOL. even the way he walks to the car. reminds me of their classic videos. I kinda like the design
13.9 in the 1/4, that's crazy
in 2015 the cayenne s hybrid was the quickest plugin suv and was just as fast as this jeep
Nice interior and impressive acceleration, and of course a high price.
its 55k now
Leave them on the dealership lot to rot , until the price comes way down if that!! Wife and I owned 3 of them..had many issues with them.
Outrageous pricing! I'm miles away from makin a deal on one at those prices.
Why did you keep buying them?
@@ejohnson3131 Because he's full of crap?
@@ejohnson3131 mine was a 2014 4x4 sport..had a lot of problems with the zf trans, caliber would be sticking..wife had 2015 a trailhead same thing trans..brakes and duel zone climate control would change the temperature on it's own.. now the dealership tried there best to fix the problems but there's only so many new data down load's you can do!! So Jeep had the vehicle turned in to dealership for a swap on anything on there lot!! Well needless to say the new one had most of she had most of the same problems so in September of 2017 we went to Toyota and traded them in for 4runners
@@eddiekowalczyk8151 your comments are senseless; you’re trying to compare two previous models (with two different architectures) that are no longer being produced. Jeep is now part of Stellantis and the new Grand Cherokee is on a different platform than your 2014 GC, which shares very little with the new GC 4xe.
Nice vid, loved the drone footage especially over the handling course. But holy ****... these prices are not ok. Too bad they won't make a base model with 4xE
We have the Summit 4xe. It's stunning. All these negative comments from no one that actually has one. Hummmm
Thanks for saying this bc I just started leasing with the intent to buy and these comments are just insane
Blue tow hooks = Good for the environment
you mean "good" for the environment. Lithium doesn't magically appear.
Jaw genuinely dropped when I saw the prices for these things
its 55k now
Lease only
You couldn't afford a Hotwheels.
Sit down
@@Welcometofacsistube - Perhaps you should sit down, tough guy.
@@mikea5205 No YOU sit down!
I’ve been standing for a while, so I wouldn’t mind grabbing a chair.

Crickets at 4:40
I can always hear crickets. I can never not hear them. And there they are, hiding in your video.
my 2020 hemi ram laramie had ac problems, radio problems, and blew both exhaust manifolds. i could only imagine the problems this suv will has
Too expensive. Considering one but the BMW x5 45e is within 5k with the specs that I want...
Amazed at the horsepower and acceleration.
The interior looks more modern than an Escalade and Navigator. It has a more Tesla-like look.
I take exception with MW going along that this Grand Cherokee is a luxury vehicle. I like the powertrain, but they can keep the rest, and especially the price.
1:48 Not too shabby performance numbers.
The previous generation was better looking (my opinion) the reliability issue is what has kept me away from the brand.
Same. Loved the last gen but just couldn’t justify paying money for one due to reliability issues. Hopefully that’s improved with this gen
Look at JD Powers. The "reliability issue" is essentially a myth.
I've had my 2015 JGC for 7 years now and no real problems at all. Really, just the small stuff like headlamp, rearview mirror and a few trim pieces issues. Does great on long trips and even towing my trailer. Really like my JGC.
6 years, 70,000 miles and no repairs required. Maintenance is easier and cheaper than European brands. And when it's time to run an errand, I pick the GC over my wife's Porsche Macan. It's just a real easy car to drive and own.
Just walked into a Jeep dealership. The seats are mediocre in comparison to the standard, Volvo! I was sitting in the Overland luxury trim. Comfort is the first benchmark when buying it leasing a new vehicle. Come on Jeep up the game in seats. The rear seat seatback angle was almost at 90 degrees making it feel like I was hunched over. 😂
You do realize there are different trims and the rear seats recline
Same trap speed of bmw x5 45e...impressive
Waaayyy overpriced considering the lack of quality that the owner "Stellantis" puts into their cheaply made, too pricey vehicles. Besides that huge factor, it's simply too much to pay for something like that.
can someone explain to me why some of these JGC have white DRL and some have amber? I think the amber comes out when headlights are on? not sure
I wish they’d stop with the blue highlights to denote a phev. It looks like that film you peel off new stuff
Wow,the aviator/explorer is 20 miles on the electric battery and the Cherokee gives 24 in the wrangler 21 what’s the point of these again? I’ll just change engine size to a four-cylinder
They're just now reviewing the 2022 Jeep?
In matter of months California went from ev are the future to PLEASE STOP CHARGING THE CAR
Look at all those button, and knobs inside.
Impressive performance! But not the price! How da hell people can afford this vehicles now a day’s with this economy?! It minds boggles me!
This thing will never hold up to the test of time. I can only imagine the issues that will arise
Did I hear that right, 25 mile range for the battery? If that's true, why bother?
That's enough for me to commute to work and back every day without using a drop of gas. So it'd basically cost nothing
22 mpg - my 25yo 4runner does that - No Thanks, I'll keep the yoder.
My brand new Mazda CX-30 at 25k seems like a real bargain now.
GC 4XE
Chrysler makes very beautiful 'looking' vehicles. But that's where it ends! This Jeep looks amazing, it's just too bad it won't last. Once again, thank you Mr. John Davis for a fantastic review! You are the reason the MotorWeek fan base watches these reviews! :)
My Grand Cherokee is approaching 140K miles & still running strong!
@@matthewlocke9225 That's awesome. My uncle really likes these too. For years during the 90's he was on the Grand Marquis' and now it's the Grand Cherokee's. he hasn't had any issues with them but unfortunately it wont live as long as a Lexus product. But if you're leasing them, get whatever you want! haha the issues are on the manufacturer not you! :)
"Chrysler" hasn't existed for a very long time. Modern Jeeps are nothing like your parents' cars.
@@gpcirillo You're right they are even worse now than they ever were before! My parents never bought the garbage this company made they bought Lexus and Toyota products. They needed something reliable to get to work on time.
@@JK-tq4qf Can't you ride your bike to work at the CVS?
A bit too expensive for what you’re getting. Also the 4xe name is confusing since it is still a 4x4
80 grand for junk and people still buy it.
It's a jeep. The price is way over the top.
This has the same 0-60 and quarter mile times as an e46 m3. Le sigh :/
Would rather have the Hemi . Hybrids just aren't worth it.
I thought it's spelled four eks ee
Motorweek get instructions from the manufacturer or the dealership on how to pronounce stuff correctly. This is an advertising channel
$80000 for a jeep... lol
$61,000 to have 45 miles of "free" driving....uh, no.
The black roof style already looks dated
Just another bloated mall crawler, I'll keep piloting my trusty 2000 TJ SPORT Wrangler 4.0L.
Untested 💩 and a heart attack price tag .. Wonder how much it weighs and 22 mpg Wow that’s a bigger joke than the price tag
Those brakes are dreadful!!! Folks, don't be fooled, this is NOT A ROAD TEST. IT IS A COMMERCIAL MASQUERADING AS EDITORIAL. Motorweek are supplied by local legacy dealerships under the proviso that they give good reviews. They are "flown" by manufacturers' marketing departments to racetracks and other exotic locations to test new vehicles... and you bet they are expected to provide positive coverage, otherwise that access dries up. It is "access journalism." 22MPG and a 23-gallon tank... $80 to fill it up. Motorweek had nothing to say at all about this dreadful aspect of the vehicle, or the climate-warming pollution that occurs as a result.
What sort of pro-pollution, pro-climate-change ghoul describes this car as "a very sensible approach to electrification in our view, rather than going all-in and forcing their faithful followers to adopt their lifestyle to a revolutionary business strategy" ? Motorweek, get real!!! Tesla's 130MPGe, 76cu.ft. Model Y is one of America's fastest-selling vehicles - soon to be THE fastest-selling vehicle - and Tesla don't even advertise. Americans are scrambling to buy it. They want BEVs. They've already decided to adapt their lifestyle (and ENJOY THE BENEFITS of clean operation, low running costs and downtime). Nobody is forcing anyone to adapt their lifestyle. Meanwhile, PHEVs are the WRONG APPROACH and have been shown to emit MORE pollution than they should. People don't charge them up. That's how they're supposed to help reduce emissions. If you don't charge it up the PHEV is WORSE for the environment than the manufacturers' claims.
Motorweek doesn't review or test Tesla vehicles unless they are forced to. You are literally dis-informing your viewers. They finish watching your shows LESS informed about the motoring world than they had when they hit play.
Lost me at climate warming...
Man, these musk fanboys are really something, don't they?
How can Tesla model y be the fastest selling if they sold less than a Camry?
@@dchegu they can't be the fastest-selling car if they sell less than Camry. They will do it by selling more than Camry
