doing the lord's work my dude
Thank you 🙏😁
Never thought of this before. Cool tip!
One of the must mod for mk3’s now! Thanks for the vid🤙
Yes absolutely! And you're welcome!
I replaced my front and rear upper control arms a few years ago with I think beech performance tubular arms. I dont remember exactly how tight they all were but now I've got serviceable ball joints at least.
Thanks for this info and awesome video! And 100% agree with avoiding expensive adjustable arms if I just need to replace a ball joint. Hopefully, my ball joints just need fresh grease to keep them working.
You're welcome!!
Amazing video!! Continue that kind of videos with repairs on general car issues
Thank you!!
Same problem with mk4 supra arms and sc300/400 soarer arms. I did the same things to my soarer arms but used rubber boots off Amazon. That Toyota boot is probably better quality so might be time I buy some of those.
Yup can't go wrong with OEM rubberz
Wow! This really helps, What about the front? Same thing?
Worried if I do the front, things might go south. With the stuff is discontinued and all, thats the risk i try to avoid..
you can get new front control arms off rockauto.com for like $55
Gonna do the same on my mazda 6 once it gets consistently warm out
I lied and commented before watching. I'm just putting in new ball joints that have fittings already
Update i still haven't touched my LCA's
Great video man!! Thanks!!
Thank you!!
the stock arms are also pretty lightweight given they're forged aluminum too....
yup!!
Damn I wonder if I have stocks now...
Fyi If you use grease in the flutes of the tap it catches the metal as you thread.
Good job buddy
Thank you!!
So I did this mod and I’m ready to install it. But I cannot remember how the boot goes. In the video you left it over the flange so when installed the boot would contact the top of the spindle. Is this correct or does the boot need to be pushed up above that flange so that it’s metal to metal on the spindle. Hope this makes sense.
theres like a rly low frequency buzzing occasionally, u should check if ur mic is broken
There was a police officer outside of the building watching cars. I suspect his radio was interfering with my microphone
Thank you
You're welcome!
Hey poor man mods,I have an 05 Lexus is300 & I installed headers and y pipe, I did as what you said
I placed spacers on down stream sensors after cat. It worked well for a bout 2 weeks then I got a CEL. The code is P0156: HO2S22 Circuit Malfunction. Have you ever had this code? If so, is it serious? Or is it just a quick o2 sensor replacement. Please let me know what you think! Thank you
I would love to see a wide body really trick Supra that could use a fully adj suspension # triggered
would you paint the control arms after wiring brush it or just leave it be?? for aesthetic reasons ofcourse.
I'd leave it bare aluminum
Personally I'd hit it with clear coat if I went through the trouble.
100,000 miles!? She's barely broken in. Hell I bought my 86.5 with 254k miles back in 2009
Haha she's been doing A LOT of sitting 🤣 I bought it with 88k miles
Wait, you're not ASE'd?
I have zero automotive education, training or certifications. I'm an industrial mechanic with a liberal arts degree that does a little bit of engineering 🤣
I have more education in IT than automotive 🤣
Are you telling me you did all that research and didn't even bother opening the Toyota EPC to check the OEM numbers? 🤣 well either way you are correct those are the mk3 front and rear replacement boots. But I'd say if your replacing the 30+ year old grease. Don't cheap out and just replace all the boots aswell. Rubber ages
Precisely 🤣🤣 I'll check the front and see if they need done too haha
😂😂😂 THWEEESENS😂
Hahaha what?!? 🤣
pisses me off to price more china made stiffed the importer or what ever
