I give you guys an 11/10 for unpredictability. This song might be my favourite on the album, but I feel like I was slapped across the face with a programme for a long dead circus when I first heard it
This is my favourite song on the new album. It is beautiful sounding, but also carries such a raw, angry, and sad energy with it about the reality of the world we live in today. I adore Shikari's politically charged music and this is an incredibly refreshing and real political statement.
It's been fuelling me. and is part of what led me to do what I am doing now. See my youtube channel if you're interested in what this kind of inspiration can really do to someone!
The sheer dread of the inevitable demise of humanity is what this song encapsulates. The sheer hopelessness of our society that has devolved into this circus of madness we’ve been forced to live in. My favorite song on the album…and man is it so eerie, dark, and powerful you can’t help but love it…even if the meaning is terrifying
What a band. I've followed them from the 2006 with the release of sorry your not a winner. Amazing the longevity they have created producing banger after banger and never afraid to push the boundaries of music. I don't know if there is another band with as much variety. From tracks like gap in the fence and adieu to mothership. To this new album. Look forward to your next album
I've had this song in my head for days. Not that the lyrics are hard to remember but I keep adding lines that don't exist (quite fitting I suppose for a song that says what we know is a lie) What would you do Now everything is possible Everything's new Now everything is possible So much to do Now everything is possible
Regardless what you feel This song isn't real And the earth isn’t sphere And you're not really here You can't trust your own eyes And you only hear lies Our future’s been denied And there's nowhere to hide Now that nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Regardless what you feel Here comes the big reveal Darling, you were a mistake And climate change is fake You must dream of being rich and famous Only then will life be painless We all start to twig From pig to man, from man to pig There's been a shooting in a Walmart So put guns on every shopping cart There's dead kids on the beach Bigoted parents now decide what teacher's teach Our future's been denied And there's nowhere to hide Now that nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible Nothing is true And everything is possible
I don't think there's a song that captures the UK and wider western world right now more than this one. Modern Living is my favourite song on the album but this, this is your British National Anthem right now. Right wing politicians sowed the seeds of doubt as people went out of their way to "seek the truth" and now people not mentally equipped to discern fact from fiction are everywhere screaming alternating realities at each other, something that I feel the chaotic brass instruments at the end really capture the feeling of.
@@samuelxd7954 So you think that the Tories are a level of left wing? What about the EDL marches, are they all left wing nutters too? The BNP? UKIP? Alright mate 😂😂
I think the "drop" would be at 1:56, I think it doesn't feel as heavy because they carry over the momentum built from the build-up. It's like a boulder, rolled up a hill - but instead of letting ut fall over a cliff they let it roll down again with extra energy. At least that's how I feel it.
track is called "Waltzing off the Face of the Earth" and it sounds like it's written in 3/4 time, common time for a Waltz, well played Shikari, well played.
The walmart by my house locks you in, they have these stupid train station rotary things, someone starts shooting in there, they're all dead. Fish in a barrel.
i feel like this is the most eye opening song on the album and really represents the anti-information or infodemic we face today with (sorry im gonna say it) right wingers who make up their own realities and challenge others with half truths. This is my interpretation of the song.
@@therealoldnosey8689 That is true, but my observation is that there is quite the extremist right wing sect... cult if you will.. that refuses science or fact and will stretch the truth or lie. They will disregard the rules of debate to discredit anything someone says as "fake" because they simply don't like the truth.
Da Steelerz How about the hard leftists that disbelieve facts and science because of their so called “feelings”. The further you go either way you’ll get people that will try and push their own agendas and discredit anything the other says
@@jordano1213 i'd love to hear what facts you think leftists are ignoring because of their feelings, because i get the feeling they're not as hard-laced "facts" as you act.
Dont listen then, if they didnt evolve they would become stagnant. I don't see how they could be doing it for cash, every album is different from the last. They've always been evolving and pushing boundaries with every album theyve put out. Its common place now.
@@samusaran7317 you should listen a little closer if you think they’ve sold out. Branching out into slightly different musical styles doesn’t mean selling out to me. I still hear something unmistakably “Shikari” about every song they’ve ever made
@@hi00118 Im not talking about a slight change in music direction.... It should go without saying that a band needs to progress with time. Whether you read this or not I spoke my peace... Doesn't really matter at this point anymore.

I have favourite album from them but i think there isnt best album because every Shikari album have an unique atmosphere. Maybe A Flash Flood of Colour was a weeker album in my opinion.
@@gamermagazin3116 well, I guess that's YOUR opinion, AFFOC is by far my favourite album from Enter Shikari after Common Dreads. The power of the music used to send a strong political message, critical thinking, all accompanied by eclectic electronics with mixed with heavy music... All their albums are great, the Spark was great, but it's too soft for me, too slow and poppy. Just my opinion, I totally respect yours but I have to disagree with it, mate :)
There's an anger in this, and it is powerful.

You must dream of being rich and famous
Only then will life be painless
This is devastating.
Feels.
the build-up and tempo are absolutely crushing
That second verse man, made me pull some faces. Nail on the head.
1:56 goosebumps every time
Same👌
The backing synth at the beginning sounds like something out of mario kart and I'm living for it.
Nothing is true, and everything is possible
That heavy crescendo at the end is ominously beautiful.

That sudden drop off the lyrics then the mad instrumental at 1:56 is incredible. Amazing music
Their best album since Common Dreads.
YES
This one ranks up there with Fanfare for the Conscious Man

What would you do
Now everything is possible
Everything's new
Now everything is possible
So much to do
Now everything is possible
While you make it sound positive, it is actually really terrifying
I'm getting 'For the benefit of Mr. Kite' vibes from this banger for real.
Anyone else get some Nightmare Before Christmas vibes off this?!
I kinda get a mayday parade vibe from this
Yep, totally Danny Elfman-like.
Waltz + Dark atmosphere 😂
This is pure genius.
Can't wait to see you guys in Russia!🔥
This song couldn't be more relevant yet so ahead of its time. Actually, it is gonna stay relevant forever until we decide to do something.
I'll always remember my 15 year old self at tjs in newport watching you guys ! Thank you for opening my mind 🤘💚
My favorite so far!!
Love the background vocals, I wonder if it's Chris?
There’s a point near the beginning of when the backing vocals come in that’s definitely Chris. Idk how they did it going on from there tho
Nothing is True, Everything is permitted.
Album's a masterpiece
Instant favorite
Best song I have heard in awhile
I will never find another band like this.
Instrumental reminds me of Manson's The Golden Age of Grotesque. Chilling lyrics.
Regardless what you feel
This song isn't real
And the earth isn’t sphere
And you're not really here
You can't trust your own eyes
And you only hear lies
Our future’s been denied
And there's nowhere to hide
Now that nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Regardless what you feel
Here comes the big reveal
Darling, you were a mistake
And climate change is fake
You must dream of being rich and famous
Only then will life be painless
We all start to twig
From pig to man, from man to pig
There's been a shooting in a Walmart
So put guns on every shopping cart
There's dead kids on the beach
Bigoted parents now decide what teacher's teach
Our future's been denied
And there's nowhere to hide
Now that nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Nothing is true
And everything is possible
Sounds like something that would play on a fucked up carousel at a fucked up fairground....I love it!
Oh, it's so epic❤️🤘
This is fucking dark, and it’s fucking incredible.

Radiohead Videotape vibes with the drums and Living In a glass house for the jazz ending. This track is awesome.
