I'd love to see a music video for this one tbh, imagining a really kinda vibrant and trippy feeling to it with loud colours and happy faces whilst the entire world is breaking down behind them. I can just see Rou skipping down a street looking very chipper as buildings collapse and cars swerve around him and end up crashing haha

This is literally how I feel... ES have done it again.
I struggle to put into words on the feelings I have about climate change, pandemics, and a million other issues that science is screaming at us to take heed of. It has emptied me out and I can barely show fear... and every image on news or documentary gives me a feeling of almost euphoric depression. I'm just waiting for it to happen...
It reminds me of watching ES at glasto. Almost crying with happiness and sadness at the same time. The same vital, urgent topics being shouted from a stage (again)... a feeling of sanguine, almost happiness about our doom.
I tried my best. I still am. But this captures the internal hopelessness of it all.
Its a masterpiece for the weird feeling of tears and smiles all sat drinking in a festival chair.

This song is fantastic, an absolute banger! 💜 Don't get me wrong by what I'm going to say, but I've always believed that ES, BMTH and Twenty One Pilots have a lot in common in terms of musical maturity and that each album sounds totally different from the other. Sometimes I wish that ES had the same recognition as the other two bands, but my selfishness wants not everyone to listen to them. Just a simple thought, this album is amazing as hell! 🔻✨

Never before have I related so much to a youtube comment. Everyone likes to think they are one of a kind with unique opinions but here I am seeing a random dude on the internet writing down my exact thoughts on similarities among 3 of my favourite bands, the underrated-ness of Shikari and my selfish views on how the latter should maybe stay this way. Here's hoping we accidentally bump into each other at an ES gig some time. (Or TØP, or BMTH :P )
Hard agree with the ES, BMTH & Twenty One Pilots thoughts! Never thought about it that way before, but I actually do love those three artists/bands a lot and I can definitely see the connection (especially in terms of musical maturity) now that you mention it! Very happy I found this comment :)

I love that they included the lyric “there’s something in the air..” it takes me back to the same lyric in Mothership from Take to the skies era. I don’t know if that was intended or not but I love it. The nostalgia from their past albums is real for me 😭 but this album has such a new & different sound at the same time.
It is, Rou said they is loads of nods to Take To The Skies / Common Dreads in an Interview.

Been a Shikari fan since '11, been to about 15 shows. Spark had its high points but didn't really connect for me.
This song, however... Straight fire. What a glorious return to form.
I think that is the one of their greatest assets though. They do it for them, just as much as they do it for you. They're never stopped trying to push their own boundries by not putting out anything they didn't want to, and got much criticism for it. And I connect so much more with them because of that.
