      Blitz eSports is also an amazing channel but I'm not very into eSports. Yeah, for an eSports fan, sure, he could seem better than KarQ but at the end of the day it's all a matter of preference. Everybody can watch what they are interested in the most.

      yes, cause if you have a genji, you want him stationary on the payload. just pick a bastion if your tactic is fortifying the point

      Don't have any numbers- but can say that it depends on the hero. Some ultimates charge much easier than others.

      This link should have all the information you need but ill summarize.
      Each hero has a charge meter that they must fill with enough charge points to get their ultimate. Each ult requires a different amount of charge points so click the link for more info. Here are all the ways you get charge points
      1. Every hero gets a passive 5 points per second
      2. Every 1 point of damage to NON-BUILDINGS (e.g. barriers, turrets, mines etc.) gives you one point
      3. Heroes that can self heal get 1 point for each point of self healing
      4. All heroes that can heal other heroes get different amount of points for their healing. The charge point to healing ratio is as follows
      - 76 and Ana 1:1
      -Lucio 19:15
      -Mercy 4:5
      -Moira 6:5
      -Zen 33:25
      5. NOBODY gains charge points from ults doing healing/damage
      6. MOST heroes DON'T gain ult charge while their ult is activated

      Almost everyone needs a different amount of points to charge their ultimate. McCree, for example, needs 1500. All heroes naturally charge their ultimate over time at 5 points per second. All so McCree can get it in 5 minutes by just standing around doing nothing. All heroes also gain charge by dealing damage, gaining 1 point per 1 damage done. All heroes that can self heal, not just passive HP regen, gain 1 point per 1 self healing (soldier, mei, roadhog). As for the healers, they also gain ultimate charge by healing teammates. The rate is different for each healer.

    5:35 reminds of a comp game where we got spawn camped as defenders in round 2 on King's Row; we got killed straight out of spawn for the entire round. Normally this would be bad and an easy win for the attacking team, except their ENTIRE TEAM was at our spawn, so when the timer ran out we literally won a comp game for being killed over and over again. The next game I went against the same 6 stack and they did the same exact thing. They probably were just trying to get their smurf on but, hey, who's going to complain about basically free sr??
    TL;DR: i got spawn camped in a comp game and won because no one was on the payload lol

    GG KARQ. It's obvious that you put a lot of effort into pacing your videos so they don't get boring even for a second, and this one is exceptional at that. You know exactly which pieces of information to reveal at which time, while not being misleading doing so. That combined with incredible editing work (for example the included timers) and tips and tricks that give the numbers meaning (like the Winston leap tip) really makes for a great and to the point viewing experience. Good job!

      It's only in extremely rare situations, you'll almost never see it, and these mechanics are there for a reason, so that 2CP isn't as bad for attackers. It's not great still, but better than if these weren't in place.

    How does the attacker advantage timer work with the payload, exactly? There is usually a lot of time in which the attackers are pushing the payload while the defenders set up on high ground, for example. Is the timer increasing during all this time? Or does it only kick in during certain portions of the map?

    Does the attackers advantage timer also kick in when there are no defenders contesting the objective? Cause that would give attackers a massive advantage on payload maps as you can't expect defenders to have a majority on the payload all of the time...

      Canadian has some videos on it, though they were early on and aren't as high of quality. Search overwatch mythbusting, you'll find a lot of stuff like it.

    Thank You KarQ! Great video! It helps me understand the game and the mechanics of overtime.
    Now I know why Sigma's ult can end the game in overtime. However, this did not save me from the reports of my opponents. They seriously think this is a game bug ;D

    wait so if i dont touch the point withing the 0-3 sec time limit the game will not go into overtime? i always thought it would always put us in overtime regardless of the 3 sec rule. wow thank you i never knew no wonder i felt like the overtime timer went away so fast. (there was never an overtime timer)

    You mention that the timer pauses when there are equal team amounts on point, what if nobody is on the point from either team? Does it pause, count down, or drop to 0 instantly?

    This actually makes a lot of sense! This makes picks near the end of the round important because certain heroes can affect the respawn timer penalty.

    I sometimes get a bug as defender where I die, my camera moves to the spawn room while spectating nobody and I respawn 2-3 seconds after I died. How does this work ?

      This happened to me in a ranked game as defender in Hanamura, I was ball and while the enemy team was attacking the objective and my team was contesting I died and respawned in 2-3 seconds

      It's a change that happened two patches ago I believe where defenders get an accelerated respawn (2 seconds) in a small window after point A is captured on 2cp maps

    I thought respawn time was according to your class. Ex: tanks will take longer since they have high damage, dps less and support would have the lowest time. I guess it's because of TF2 that works like that, but meh. Thanks for the info, now I gotta bring that clock for competitives xD

    The tables have turned, the chairs have been swapped, the genji mains are learning, BUT THE HEALERS ARE FORGETTING.
    This is true though now I see less healers on point as they always healing tank anvay from point when they are on point and eon the team fight... Or they just healing that tanks when they can get on point and make it overtime
    TL;DR:genji mains are on point and Ana's arent

    Hey KarQ can you do a video about accuracy? Because I play widow and I get like 55% scoped accuracy in my game but my average career scoped accuracy says its only 43% and I don’t know how I can raise it up. Can you explain this please? :)

    Huh... I mean, I knew the respawn timers got bigger when attackers had an advantage, and I was sure it had a bunch of numbers behind it, which I was right.
    But I'm more amazed that I never noticed that stall abilities didn't count as bodies. I mean, it's right there on the UI. The effects of tunnel vision are crazy.

    Do you think Blizzard should make the defender penalty or the wick countdown speed more apparent and visible? I think it’s one of those weird things. Especially in clips when professional teams aren’t standing on the point when they could be...

    I swear I'm the only person that likes 2cp. It sucked before they added the attacker respawn advantage, and especially in season 1 during the coin flip era. But that was a long time ago. It's pretty great now imo. If you manage to pull off a successful stall nowadays (even on volskya), you damn well earned it, And the enemy team has no right to bitch.

    I've had moments where I've died in a crucial moment, and I'm getting a drink of water while waiting to respawn, and it usually takes me about 10 seconds to take a drink, and when I realized that there was still like 4 seconds left, I knew there was something fishy about my respawn time. This clears it up. Thank you!

    I got made fun of in overwatch ,, i told ppl to stop trickling in it can makes us spawn longer ,, and dude called me dumb lol ,, i told him wait till the last sec to jump on ( what till the 3rd tick to almost get full then jump on right befor it round over) this way ur also going 2 be going on with a team member that just responded
    .. in stead of just jumping to stop the 1st tick. Or 2nd tick who cares if they get 1 or 2 ticks. ( if u win team fight timer/3tick gp back to 0 . Just let them have the first 2 ticks and jump back on with ur team ,, don't die on point by ur self .lmao , he was like dude im trying to stop them from getting the point , u have to stay on point so they cant get it bla bla .. i hate being stuck in elo hell ( silver gold , heh ,n bronzes )

    You would think that TF2 would have taught people to stand on the point by now. Y'know, since all of the characters angrily tell you to get on the fucking point. Then again who am I kidding, even in that game people were allergic to the objective. You could make control points in Overwatch give the same health regen bonus as the payload and people will still avoid the point.

    literaly just spent 3 minutes on won fight we clearly had won like 5 times over but lost just because of spawn advantage on watchpoint gibraltor

    I’ve always felt like when defending on 2cp or payload and the attackers have almost won and were trickling, it takes forever to respawn, but I always thought it was because I was anxious to get on point

    I think you should have talked of the "Objective capture time" too (that increase up to , then I think if they're 3 or 5 people it's the same.)
