So happy to see this series having an update for the Ball 🥰 I was surprised to learn that Zarya's bubble took away a target for the barrier. That explains those moments when I pop it and get almost no shields but it's weird to think that was what was happening.
Yea all shields block it unfortunately. It’s based on LOS so people behind walls or cover don’t count either even if they are very close. Not a big deal once you know about it you can usually play around it

For tanks sigma and dva, for dps echo tracer genji(?) Pharah junkrat(?) sombra, for healers ana and bap(?) The idea is to play slowly until everyone is in position to do whatever they need, then you engage fast and without doubting. Actually it's not as much the hero you play but how you play it, coordinating with the team is 80% of the battle against bastion
he’s never a problem unless you have less brain cells than a walnut. he’s a sitting duck, if you genuinely have problems with him.. please. just delete the game i’d normally say practice more but at that point idk if you can get better

@HBSツ in higher ranks he takes a lot of game sense but in lower ranks i absolutely agree most of the time no one joins team chat so you can't call him out and he fucking heals him self 24/7 i play zen mostly in support I'm in gold i played against a plat reaper and at first i wanted to change but i didn't because he was so bad i actually won every 1 v 1 against him he was obviously bad even for gold this guy isn't plat it's impossible.
It's simple, the majority of people don't know how to play or be effective with him. They just roll around and think they're doing something while feeding or taking engages when not needed at all
Most ball players don't help the team when they are getting choked and the ball player is spinning across the map. It's bad enough that the team doesn't have a barrier. I know barriers are not a must, but ball players don't help the team with peeling pushing together etc. And many of them feed a TON of ult charge and guess who gets punished for that? The rest of the team ofc especially the supports.
I remembered I felt so accomplished during a comp match on Echienwalde where I managed to grapple around and boop a Brig towards our team for an early pick. Hammond is fun but when you watch people do nothing but spin and the game pats them on the head with cards and POTGs, it makes me roll my eyes because they're not playing him well. They're the same people that will keep trying that when there's a Sombra. I have been that Sombra and think 'it's free ult charge'.

I'd highly recommend a new Zenyatta tips video, and it would be interesting to see not only how he works against each hero, but with heroes on his team in situations so that players can learn how to use Orb of Harmony, Orb of Destruction, and Transcendence properly.
The fact lucios often wall ride into mines couldn’t be more accurate. I don’t think I’ve ever died to Hammond when mines are up unless I die to the mines
I disagree because if you use your shields when a lots of enemy’s are near you get 400+ shields and guess what shields don’t give ult charge. So there goes the feeding problem but low rank ball players tend to feed and just die.
This might sound 5head, but the number 1 thing to do as ball is just don't die. Seriously, even if you aren't going in and killing everyone, just staying alive and displacing & distracting the enemy can get a lot of value. You can help your team just by being annoying & having the enemy think about you
@@snvcchs sometimes the enemy will just counter you too hard to play ball, but just a few tips against sombra if she's hard focusing you: 1. Don't attack from the front (try to coordinate with your team and push from behind when they go in the front). 2. Unless you know she doesn't have hack/is dead, it's usually better to just boop instead of using piledriver (slamming will make you easy to get hacked and killed) 3. While getting hacked you can activate shields to give you a little more survivability (shields don't give ult charge). 4. If you're in gun mode, you can cancel the hack by flicking at her & hitting her once). 5. Plan where you want to take fights; if you attack near a corner, you can break hack's line of sight or use cover if you do get hacked. 6. This is mostly a battle of wits, as much as you are worrying about the sombra, they might be focused on you as well. You just have to figure what you can & can't get away with with them. As a Hammond main, I can confirm Hammond is easy to play, you just gotta avoid flash bang, sleep dart, shield bash, reaper, flail whip, accretion, earth shatter, sleep dart, rein charge, Lucio boop as it can stop all your momentum, grav surge, sleep dart, pretty much all of doomfist’s abilities exept for uppercut as you can then piledrive, did I also mention sleep dart?

Big Piledriver tip! You can hold the piledriver button down before you ever roll off a ledge, and it will automatically activate the moment you're high enough. No need to spam button (same for adaptive shields)

Hey @KarQ idea for a whole new bunch of videos: 1 _____ COMBO tip with every hero. Basically you can do the whole series but with how each hero interacts WITH each other (on the same team), rather than just AGAINST. For instance, Ana players often use Nano at bad moments on dive heroes like Genji/Winston etc, and often don't follow up with an anti-nade (which isn't ALWAYS safe to get rid of, but it's high potential value can't be underestimated). In reverse, as an Ana player, it makes me SO mad that so many players don't understand how to wake up my sleeping targets! Each time the video has the tip for playing with Ana, you could teach people the best way. E.G. Sombras don't always hack the sleeping targets, Hogs often hook them without getting a hit in first, Bap can triple-headshot-melee most squishes, McCree's flash can secure kills on Sombra/Tracer before they can escape, Mei players often start using their left-click rather than hitting an easy headshot, Zen players always forget to discord them before they shoot (REALLY important if it's a sleeping tank), Widow and Junkrat can put traps on them to wake up into and, last but not least, Hanzos often fire a fucking storm arrow for a non-lethal headshot...
Tip: Instead of using your mines to counter another wrecking ball's mines, a single pile driver will usually clear out 90% of them on the spot, leaving that wrecking ball's ult effectively wasted at minimal cost to you. Usually, you don't even take damage from doing this, despite how dangerous it sounds
As a support player I hate playing against and with a ball. Won’t leave me alone, and won’t stop diving into the backline where I have to let my anxiety skyrocket while I watch him hit critical and barely survive
