actually because of how lousy I do sing I don't sing along with any songs (unless I am at work, lol) Especially to songs like this that I love. I don't want to ruin it for myself. I do have a musical ear as being a former band geek in H.S. (many, many moons ago). It was only my simple opinion. If singing along with it brought you joy then more power to you. I am just one person who likes to hear the music.
