- Floor said it was the 2nd time she performed this song and it's one of her personal favorites. First was night before in El Paso. So stoked they added this in. One of my favorite Nightwish songs. She did an amazing job even singing the operatic parts like they are on the album

I was there, and it was such a treat when they pulled this one out of the vault! In my 51 years I have seen over 300 concerts, and a lot of big names, more than I can name. It is so awesome that after all that I can still be amazed by the level of talent, skill, and passion of a band. I can honestly say that I have not seen a better show!
If you haven't seen a Nightwish show, you are really missing out, this should definitely be on your must see list!
I totally agree. I was right up front against the gate by Troy & Erno and was floored (pun intended) when they broke into this.
Only thing better was when they did Ghost Love/Greatest Show back to back. Possibly the two single greatest songs EVER composed.
Oh my god. Goosebumps! How people could even compare her to Annette and Tarja, she is from a whole other planet! Wow, just wow!
I have no words. I don't really know what to say, I'm so astonished with this. I didn't expect anything. The last part is so emotional and it's always been so special to me and Floor did it so perfectly I couldn't help myself and simply cried like a baby looking for his mother. Thank you, Floor. Thank you for being you and making justice to this amazing song.

I need this on official release, OMG I can't believe just can't believe the level of technique this girl has, its really unmatchable...

Sebastian Jara I like anettes voice in albums, its really nice 2 albums she did with NW and i have so much memories for it, but on live she was sometimes really bad ..... i was faking myself about this, until i heard Floor sing Nw songs ...... just totally different level
WeirdD ShittT Anette really had her songs to sing live, for example she did a great job in 'Slow love slow' and 'scaretale' Floor did bth of them but Anette's versions were better than Floor's. But for this kind of songs, you need to have a perfect control on your voice and that's one of the virtues on Floor's voice along her power that is obvious, Tarja and Anette had their moments with the band and they were really good in their own styles, but the most complete and trained singer for this kind of music is Floor
Floor have voice control but in Slow love slow she used bad technique, she can do it better, like she did in The siren, again it sounded weird becouse she choosed bad way to sing it, thats my opinion
WeirdD ShittT That's right, but The Siren was a riskul song to sing, because no one could top Tarja's version, she's the real siren, her vocal solo in tha song is crazy
Yeah i agree, in this one she is special and cannot be replaced, but i know FLoor can do it also nicely, but not in way she tryed it ..... :)

This song was the highlight of the show for me Saturday night at Revolution Live (Fort Lauderdale, 5-8-2015). Floor killed it! Afterwards, Marco and Emppu fist bumped her.

oh my god, there are no words to describe what I felt when I watched the video...amazing, I mean, she is powerful!! and the best thing is she can show us that, she can communicate it, we can feel the same, that passion inside.

Finally! Amazing version
Thank you for sharing this, I dreamt about Floor singing this song but I thought they would never pick it up again... She just surprises us with every one of these "big" songs. While Anette (and even Tarja) sometimes skips some parts and use backing vocals, and quite frequently sing stuff one octave lower in live, Floor just sing almost everything in its original form, and sometimes even more (Such as the operatic parts in Storytime, and the "Fooooor yooooou!!!" belt at the end of Ghost Love Score, truly miraculous). How can you not love such supreme artists who pour their everything on to the stage and treats their fans with the best each and every time.

Oh my God, Floor did it! AMAZING! The Anette's performance alive is very poor comparing to this, 'cos she was not used to do the high notes, now Floor does the operatic parts reaching the high notes and this is f*cking awesome!

I LOVE Floor's voice!!! Like some other NW songs, I never really care about them until she came and sang them. Nemo, Ghost Love Score, Ever Dream, this song....she gives them a whole new dimension and emotional perspective with her talent.

Iron Fett I know me too. They would either cut that or Greatest Show on Earth but Tuomas said those 2 are couple of his favorites to play. Will have those up later. I asked all of them what song is their favs to play live. Marco said whichever one they screw up the least lol.
Finally....! This with Floor (about time, too)... She actually sung the high pitched parts (albeit in her classical voice) at 4:40 that Anette wouldn't have even dare attempt to do, (especially live) and added some classical vocals at 10:49

I've been saying on Nightwish videos all over RUclips that I wanted to hear Floor to sing the Poet and the Pendulum specifically. I wanted to see her push these high notes because I know she could in ghost love score. Now that I've seen it for the first time tonight, Floor has won me over officially. She even sang it higher than annette did live and did the end part too! I still like Annette, but floor was the closest to the album and I love her for this.

Thanks for this! Great to see this as a Floor -version. She sings this like a boss. Only minus in this video is the loud atonal singing of the crowd, especially in the verses. Well, that's how it is i guess.

I really enjoy hearing the crowd sing along. The beauty of it is that it's a natural response by people who enjoy the song as much as I do. I'm right there with you. I can't carry a tune to save my life, but I don't want that to keep people from singing along!

Dave Mason I disagree, mainly cause I like Tarja's era and I don't know how Floor's lyric voice would fit in albums such as Oceanborn and Wishmaster. She does have a great opera voice but hardly uses it anymore, excepting old songs like Stargazers. Maybe a Best Of with rerecordings of hits of their entire carrer, that could do it :D

Oh wow ! I think this is the best version ever of this song and we are only judging it from an amateurish recording. Imagine if it was recorded professionnally ... There's no word to describe how wonderful this is.

Glad to see they´re doing this song again. One of my faves. As a relatively new NW follower, personally I´d like them to DROP a few songs from their setlist for good. "Stargazers", "Sleeping Sun", "She Is My Sin" come to mind right away. Not a big fan of some of that older stuff. I´d love to see them bring back "The Siren", "Romanticide", "7 Days to the wolves". For instance. Waiting for "Edema Ruh" also.

As an older fan, Stargazers and Sleeping Sun are two of my favorites. However, all the ones you mentioned are great too. :D There's just so much excellent material with Nightwish.
MJ S "Romanticide" has been already performed, and Floor almost blew Wacken off with her performance. As one of the heaviest Nightwish songs ever, it suits her a lot more than it ever did to Tarja.
Excellent. Lovely to see Floor Jansen at 4.40 sing the operatic part. Different from how Annette sang this part in normal voice. That separates them both. Hope Nightwish does more performances of this great song.

I love this. I don´t like too much the previous works of Floor (ReVamp, withintemptation, etc. ) but I thing that what she and the rest of the band are doing now in Nightwish is AWESOME, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
