It's the special olympics versions, altered so everyone can sing it. Anyway, all I can say about the song is that it used to be a good song. It sounds like they've dumbed it down for floor to sing. It sounds quite a bit lower than it used to be. If this is the new nightwish, then I'm not missing anything. I thought they just released a new album. If so, why aren't they playing those songs rather than butchering all their old stuff like this?

oscar garcia lastima que lo hace varios tonos mas bajos que Tarja, pero bueno... que Floor haya estudiar lírico no significa que tiene toda la practica y experiencia que Tarja en este estilo, podrá imitarlo pero no supera la interpretacion de Tarja.

Cantar más grave o más agudo no es símbolo de un mejor o peor cantante, de hecho para voces femeninas, las más escasas son aquellas que logran cantar melodías más graves. El mundo está lleno de sopranos (es una categoría más fisiológica que algo que tenga que ver con entrenamiento) así que ya es tiempo de dejar de idolatrar a las "sopranos" como si fuesen diosas por solo ser sopranos. De hecho hasta la odiada Anette es una soprano, al igual que Tarja y Floor; la gran diferencia ha sido que Floor logró adecuar las canciones a su propio estilo sin cambiar la esencia misma de estas, lo cual Anette nunca logró. Y como acotación, Tarja es una cantante con entrenamiento lírico y Floor tuvo más entrenamiento en ópera y teatro musical que en lo estrictamente lírico, lo cual son técnicas y estilos diferentes, cuando conoces bien las diferencias, sabes claramente que no es "una imitación"...

Her tone is less light than Tarja's on this song and more dramatic, I feel (I know that a lot of people say that Floor is a dramatic soprano, whereas Tarja is more of a lyric soprano), so maybe that's why? I like this a lot. It's Floor's voice, she's not trying to copy anyone, she just enjoys the song and as you said, awesome energy as usual. I freaking love her, lol!
nimedhel09 It could be possible that she uses lower notes, because her voice becomes thinner and has less depth the higher the operatic vocals get e.g. Phantom of The Opera. Furthermore it's her own interpretation without being less epic.

It has nothing to do with Floor's vocal abilities. Below is the explanation from Hilary who plays guitar. _"Emppu plays a guitar with a locking mechanism. His guitar is locked into D standard tuning (what 99% of their set list is played in with D, G, C, F, A, D), a whole step down from E standard (what Stargazers is played in with E, A, D, G, B, E). Tuning a whole step up and back down on a guitar like his requires screw drivers and is very time consuming. It is not practical to tune up to E standard, nor carry around a whole other guitar for one song."_

The circumstances in which she was let go, were appalling, but Tarja planned to release one more album with Nightwish, do one more tour with them, and then start her solo career. So they were going to have to find new vocalist(s) regardless if they fired Tarja or she left on her own.
