@@mr.hentai2299 ok so I did some digging and he’s something even I forgot. Both luffy and ace are the sons of very infamous enemies of the World Government. Koby and Helmeppo (but mostly Koby) were basically nobodies who wished to become strong marines. What sealed the deal for Garp was prob the fact that Koby was Luffy’s friend.
Coby legitimately seems to be the parallel to Luffy of this generation, what if in a future arc we learn that Roger and Garp had a first meeting similar to Luffy and Coby's? And it is the only reason why Roger and Garp were adversaries that were friends, they both met early into their journey's and helped each other. Covy still has nothing but respect and admiration for the pirate that is Luffy, and while he would attempt to arrest Luffy, I think he would just as easily work with him to take down a common enemy just like Garp and Roger. Idk... just what I have felt ever since we saw that interaction between Roger and Garp between the bars when Roger first turned himself in and asked Garp to save Ace, just seems like it was more than a few fights that made Garp feel that strongly about Roger to break the law and save Ace.
@Sli zer What I was thinking, the God Valley of the new generation. Coby has gotten pretty strong pretty quick, and marines always seemed to have weird power scaling. Either they were trash, mid tier fodder, or admiral.
If we want to think out of the box, I'd add Bogart to the equitation, Garp's right hand man. He is Garp's right hand man for a reason and he is based on a real life actor, matching the theme of the admirals being based on actors (but Bogart is based on an American actor instead of a Japanese). Thus, he could be an admiral by the end of the story.
Admiral Coby would literally bring tears to my eyes. I just know he’ll achieve his dream in tandem with Luffy. Probably just in time for the final war.
Coby current rank is already very impressive considering in the beginning of the series when he join the marines he started at the bottom. I know its fiction but if this was reality, It would take many years just to reach the rank of Captain let alone an Admiral. So considering the rate he is going atm, Admiral is very close within his reach.
Coby is going to become admiral, but only once everything is over. It's a perfect scenario for the epilogue of OP. Him becoming an admiral as soon as the final war starts/ends would make zero sense narratively (and I'm not even talking about the power growth inconsistencies this would create).
i dont think coby will be an admiral anytime soon unless the navy decides to have 4 admirals rather than 3. We still got kizaru, fujitora, and one more unknown guy, and i doubt any of them will just vacate their seat that easily

Insights from Japan! Since the first admiral trio were based on the animals that accompanied the hero of Momotaro and the second trio were based on the ox-tiger (ushitora) zodiac cardinal directions (konjin) that influenced the appearance of two gate demons in the same story, most Japanese fans I've seen are speculating the last trio will include the last two Momotaro-animal-and-zodiac animals: the sheep and the horse, which, along with the monkey, are opposite the ox-tiger duo on the zodiac. While there is no compound word used for them in Japanese like there is for ushitora, we might still see sheep (hitsuji) and horse (uma) in their names. If Coby really is part of the new trio, I suspect he'll be the sheep, especially considering Garp once referred to him as a "lamb" (kohitsuji). Alternatively, they may revert back to red and blue and give us the main antagonists of Momotaro: the red and blue oni. Also suggested is that, admirals aside, both the "graduated" Akainu (red) and Aokiji (blue) now thematically represent the red and blue oni already and that thematic will become more apparent later. Granted, I don't particularly indulge in speculation. I just figured I'd chime in with some of my own insights since I suspect not many people are intimately familiar with Japan, the story of Momotaro, or prowl the Japanese internet.
Hoped to find someone stating this. I came to around the same conclusion or at least I'm using the same story. I'll put Coby as orange crab, because he had multiple things happening to him in the same way the crab did in the story, for example getting knocked out by the dog. I would also keep Fujitora and Ryokugyu completing this color scheme as red + blue = purple, blue + yellow = green and yellow + red = orange. If you combine these colors again, we'll get to have white for our fleet admiral. Smoker might be the most fitting for that role, but the evidence leading to him is the weakest. White would, based on the story, be compared to the white dragon, which is Momotaro himself, but again the only thing leading to Smoker would be his devil fruit, and personality in the sense of justice, courage and so on. Most of this theory was already stated way back in 2013 if I remember correctly. But let's be honest, for Smoker to reach fleet admiral something really big has to happen in the future.
Helmeppo would be a pretty good admiral. Remember when he said he would surpass his dad and capture him? Maybe he will become an admiral then catch his dad once and for all, completing his dream.

I feel Aokiji would be the best fit out of those for fleet admiral, I think he'd have more of a connection to the 3 new admirals than Fujitora. I think SWORD will play a part in a coup/reforming of the marines after some of the final story parts come together and it'll be revealed to the average marines that X-drake and Kuzan were only pretending to be pirates on covert missions. Aokiji also obviously favours Smoker and he used to be Garp's trainee like Coby is now. It fits quite neatly... so Oda wont do it. :P
@@kunalkashelani585 That's why I think there will be a coup or reformation at some point, probably when some of the dodgy stuff about world government and celestial dragons becomes public knowledge. They wont trust any of the current admirals and if Kuzan is secretly working for SWORD who don't seem to be working for the world government, Aokiji and Garp would be the senior people from that group, so bringing him back would make sense.

I really don't wanna see koby as luffy's rival, he probably will be an admiral but rivaling luffy would just be insane, he'd need such a big power up that in comparison to his power up, even luffy's power up would feel pale
Who would even have the strength and background to be "Luffy's marine rival"? Because there's no reasonable way to have either Koby or Smoker get to his current level. Sakazuki is not a rival but an enemy, Kizaru is too laid back to really fill that role, Fujitora fits better for Zoro, and Ryokugyu we have no information on... Meanwhile below current and former admirals in ranking we have not seen a single one with the feats to indicate how any of them would be able to go toe to toe with current Luffy aside from maybe Garp, who already filled that slot for Roger. Only one I could see is Kuzan if he gets back to his regular post and this whole leaving thing was just an infiltration or whatever.
For the longest time, I've held on to the idea that Koby would become the next leader of the Marines. But instead of wanting Luffy captured or dead...I imagine he'd honor their friendship by pardoning the Straw Hats of whatever "crimes" they've committed. Think about it; if Luffy didn't protect and save Koby the way he did so long ago, the little man wouldn't be where he is now. So, I don't really follow the idea of him becoming a blood-thirsty rival of Luffy's or that he'd want to follow in Akainu's footsteps and hunt him down. Instead, I see him trying to establish a new Moral Justice amongst the Marines
If the marines are still a thing towards the end, I think Coby and Luffy will share a Rivals-but-still-friends kind of relationship. Like Shanks and Mihawk .

Sabo definitely won't be a marine, even if he could be admiral, if the revolutionary army overthrew the navy and it was reformed then Sabo still wouldn't take a role in which would go directly against his brother, because as he said himself "I don't care where I stand or where I am, I will never experience the same thing again"
Dragon is a great candidate for fleet admiral. It would fall along the same reasoning as sabo for admiral. The leader of the revolution army turns into the leader of the marines. Basically doing the exact same job.
There's no way Oda will end the story without making Coby admiral atleast. helmeppo maybe vice admiral? and smoker does seem like another worthy admiral. both coby & smoker also have good characteristics. not sure abt drake however. he does have more power but eh who knows.
Both drake and smoker are nowhere near first commander/admiral level, smoker cant even defeat someone like virgo who is nothing more than fodder compared to the big guys ( admirals, yonkos, first commander). Hell, even flamingo is fodder compared to those. He may have the personality of a good admiral but he is way too weak.Imagine katakuri vs smoker/drake: it would look 1:1 the same as katakuri vs luffy without G4 with the difference that they arent MCs and therefore dont have the "I can tank an unlimited amount of damage" bonus which means they are out cold after a few (heavy) hits, especially smoker who has pretty much no durability at all. I am not a fan of having such weak admirals, Sabo would be a good admiral and coby has great potential (we havent seen anything about post timeskip cobys power yet) and he is also trained by garp. Smoker has the personality but not the power backing it up, drake has neither the necessary personality nor the power. I would like the following (fleet) admirals: Coby, fujitora, sabo ( who knows how likely this is) and aokiji.

7:32 yes, BUT! Dinosaur is "kyouryuu" (恐竜) which includes the kanji for Dragon "ryuu" (竜). Lizard, which is "sekiryuu" (石竜) also uses the dragon kanji. I don't know to what extent this is behind Oda's intentions though.
There were admirals before Kuzan, Sakazuki and Borsalino. Garp rejected becoming one while Aokiji was still his trainee. And I reckon Sengoku had to be one under Fleet Admiral Kong.
some said that garp was supposed to be fleet admiral but thats wrong. he was offered the admiral position several times but not fleet admiral. And yes sengoku was an admiral before under fleet admiral kong.

To me Coby also has the highest learning curving in the series (surpassing even Luffy's) thus why Garp's training so effective on him. He is basically the marine version of Luffy in many ways thus possibly his rival yet in more friendly way from the start. Compare to how Roger and Garp ended up Personally I think Kuzan won the right to be Fleet Admiral once already but decided not to take it. Leading to him doing what he is doing now and could end up taking it after the marine have reformed though other then him possibly choices could be Fujitora with wild card choices being Green Bull and even Kizaru(no one knows what that guy is thinking or his true motives yet)
Koby, i still think with his calming power he will be the the one to stop the fight between the marines and luffy, or should i say the plot to shank luffy. The marines will be the bad guys and in the end and Koby will be the light within their corruption. Koby will be the one to rebuild them after Luffy wipes the grand line with them.

I'd like to reference episode 985 of the anime where the flashback to the Rocks pirates features 6 silhouettes with the colors Pink (Big Mom), Green (Kaido), Yellow (Xebec), Blue (Whitebeard), Red (?), Purple (?) which corresponds to the current admirals Green Bull, Yellow Monkey, Blue Pheasant, Red Dog and Purple Tiger, with the exception of the color Pink. I think Coby becoming an admiral has been heavily foreshadowed and I think there's a huge chance of Coby and Luffy fighting together like Roger and Garp once did.
The WG gave Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru their logia DF's, I think the WG will give Koby a very powerful DF to bring him closer to the top tiers of the verse. It's too far fetched to believe Koby would be strong enough EOS to play a major role combat wise after training for just 2 years after being a below average human in physical attributes.
I hope so, how can one become the weakest in the show to near strongest. Training isnt a god send. Why don't netero train komugi to become mereum's rival? She got some nen right? I would never forgive oda if it was just like that. DB super did something similar with granolah being ultra instinct goku level with "some" training, makes me sick. @@RyuMasterEX Your komugi parallel is just wrong because you have forgotten a key part of the equation, which is talent. Even HxH put a huge emphasis on talent. Its why Gon and Killua easily learnt Nen while Zushi who was already considered talented was still struggling. Garp is the hero of the marine who specifically choose Koby after seeing him training. For Garp to have gone out of his way to do that must have meant Koby had it in him. Do I see Koby being as strong as luffy? No, but if he is given a decent fruit on top of Garp tutoring then he can be close.
Now that you think about it. All admiral has a fruit and even previous admiral like Sengoku tho what's interesting is what fruit will he get he seems like the speedy kinda guy so maybe his fruit will have something that helps with his speed but I dunno.

I can very well see the Revolutionnaries and Sword teaming up with Luffy in the end war, so Drake, Koby and Sabo makes sense to me as the reformed marines' admirals. Fuji as fleet admiral.
Problem is , to be an admiral you also have to be extremely extremely strong. Koby will surely become an admiral , and will definatly get strong enough to be “admiral level” , given his growth rate is arguable the 4th highest in the whole series after Luffy Zoro Sanji. Smoker is already in his late 30s early 40s , so I’m not entirely sure how much stronger he will get , and even then , will he reach admiral level ?
Smoker is nowhere near admiral level tbh. Neither is Drake if I'm being honest. The former has had to ally with pirates and rogues for most of his time spent in the second half of the GL, whereas the latter was beaten terribly by a CP0 officer in what seemed to be a pretty one sided battle. Also Apoo is nowhere near admiral level, so the fact Drake seems to be an equal to him doesn't suggest very positive things for his growth. It'd be funny to see someone like Helmeppo become Admiral with Koby as the Fleet Admiral. Oda would probably see all this discussion about "who's gonna be the next powerhouse of the navy" and do a little trolling lol.
Koby’s growth rate is arguably the fastest or second, only Luffy himself can be argued to be growing faster than Koby. Look where he started as compared to where everyone else started, and he’s closing the gap between them.. which means he’s moving through the power rankings at a faster pace. The series has been what 3 years in their in-verse time and Koby is already trusted with being in a special ops org. and taking part in taking down a Shichibukai (one which may be one of the stronger ones at that, considering the conquerors n the fact that we’ve never seen her struggle)
@@farouq7882 I agree but I will say a lot of Luffy’s training was just playing as a kid for him. He didn’t really get serious about getting strong till he got to Loguetown n even then a big part of his character arc is him learning that he has to take ‘power’ and the acquiring of it more seriously .. and that became more clear to him step by step from Alabasta to Water 7 saga to impel down to marine ford to sabaody and now in the Yonko saga. We can see Luffy’s training speed really shine in the short bursts of seriousness we get n as he progressively mature n stop looking at things like a game. But yeah, Koby is absolute dynamite and I can’t wait for him to make a big splash on the world stage n replace Garp as the new hero.
I actually want a power ups for Smoker, Hina, Tashigi, Fullbody and Jango. All of them are the OG marines that's why I want these early introduced marines to be quite powerful
I suspect sentomaru will become an admiral and they may even expand the amount of admirals to make up for the loss of the shishibukai and the ever growing threat of the pirate world upheaval
I think so too. In the beginning he was callijg th other admiral uncle which then stopped randomly. It might of been oda wanted to keep things more hidden or forgot or retcon it
The person who I would like to see an admiral is somebody who, honestly, is less likely to become an admiral than Sabo: “All-Hunt” Grunt. Grunt is a filler character and he best described as a Marine-version of Luffy. He’s reckless, strong, and seeks to be the best (“like no one ever was”). The problem is that he non-canon, invented by the anime department, and haven’t appeared in the series proper.

My prediction is Kuzan as Fleet Admiral, with Koby, Smoker and Fujitora as Admirals. Why Kuzan over Fujitora? He's been in the marines much longer then fujitora, and he was also originally recommended by sengoku to replace him. He's currently with Blackbeard, but I don't think he's truly betrayed the marines. For the admirals, Koby- duh, it's his dream. Smoker just fits the role perfectly in my mind, and follows the logia theme of the og admirals trio. Fujitora- no reason to oust him, he's already a great admiral

Corby, X Drake and Smoker as Admirals, Fleet Admiral Fujitora and Helmeppo and Tashigi as Vice Admirals under there respective Admiral. That would be a good lineup in my opinion based on what u brought up in the Vid.

the best scenario for me is coby and sabo teaming up to defeat akainu. sabo taking revenge for ace using his own fruit, and coby beating akainu because their justices differ, one is peaceful and the other is more like warmongering
I to think that Helmeppo has a high chance of being admiral, but not over Smoker. He has a high chance because he’s growing in tangent along with Koby, and he also shares the same dreams as him. I think he has a higher chance than Sabo and X Drake

Koby is possibly Shanks son. Also Koby has been training with Garp from before the timeskip, during and after. So he likely is a lot stronger than we think he is. Also due to Anime fundamental rules. Characters with unique hair colors always become super strong.
We've seen the Warlord system collapse, we're seeing the Yonko system collapsing, all that'd be left to collapse is the WG. I'm sure that following its collapse, a new Admiralty would take shape, with Koby stepping into Garp's "hero and legend" role, and Drake potentially filling in the space that Sengoku did.

But the question becomes will Coby want to become an admiral after learning the corruption of the celestial dragons considering an admiral serves them directly maybe he will want to stay a vice admiral unless the navy or coby turns on the celestial dragons
So we met Coby at the start of the series some 20 years ago or whatever…in real life years, his rank makes sense. In universe, haven’t only a couple years passed? The promotion rate in the OP marines is insane.
Koby becoming Admiral will become super hype but I only see it happening after a time skip (like him becoming captain) or if events following Wano take a few years.
There might be another SWORD leader guy that we haven't heard of yet. I'd see Oda pulling that off, in which case he could easily be the next admiral as well. Or someone from CP
I think it will be like this in the future: Fleet admiral (replacing lavaboy) will be Kobe. Admirals will be Smoker, X Drake and Fujitora(because Fuji didnt care about a rank higher then admiral). I think coby should be a normal admiral, such a young fleet admiral would be weird. Smoker and x drake as admirals is as embarassing as appointing buggy, crocodile and arlong to be the new yonkos ( of course it is a bit of an exaggeration). I mean, who is supposed to be afraid of those two weaklings? Stronger pirates would just laugh theirs asses off, those two would completely destroy the admirals reputation even though smoker has the personality of an admiral, no doubt. I can see aokiji coming back and lets see what kind of guy greenbull is, maybe he is also a decent guy with good mentality.
@@marcello7941 totally agree. Coby is too young and too unexperienced to be a fleet Admiral. Becoming a fleet Admiral is not about power but reputation, influence, experience and leadership (that's why the only candidates to fleet Admiral that we know so far are always admirals) There's no way someone like Coby has the experience and world knowledge that it's required and could inspire the respect and authority people like akainu, aokiji, garp, kizaru, smoker, fuji, among others, can, since most marines would look at him like he is some young punk. The only way I see Coby beeing fleet Admiral in the Manga, is if it's in a 10 o 20 years flashforward. About smoker, I can see him becoming an Admiral but we should be able to see insane things from him. Xdrake I completely doubt it.
I think Smoker would make a great FA. Even if he's not a powerhouse he can still hold his own and is a natural leader with a righteous sense of justice

Kizaru and Ryokugyu are great marines, I’d be disappointed if they both went to waste. I’m kinda hoping Kizaru stays as an admiral. Kizaru is probably the near-perfect law enforcer, as in he’s the most neutral marine in the Navy; he’s not like Akainu or Aokiji, he will show mercy against pirates and has a moral code, but he won’t let them get away in case they cause harm in the future.
I was just watching the new one piece opening (op 24) and it gave me a crazy theory. I don’t think it will happen at all but it’s at least a fun thing to share or think about. In the scene where Law and Kid pull luffy out of the water and throw him into the sky it can be seen that their limbs stretch. This is most likely just an animation technique used to emphasise the motion. But, and just imagine. What if it’s luffys next gear or awakening? What if his next ability is that he can briefly share his strength with those in contact with him or that he chooses. This is a completely outrageous theory, and even I don’t think it has a chance. But it was a cool random idea that I thought was worth sharing. If anyone has actually read this, Hello!

It's funny that referenced Charmander in talking about Koby, because I've mentioned for years that Koby in One Piece is basically a Pokémon: Every single time we catch up with him, it's like he's gone through some kind of evolution. I definitely believe people are sleeping on him. He has the highest growth rate of any character in the series. And I definitely subscribe to the theory that he and Luffy are probably going to team up a-la Roger and Garp against a common foe (either Teach, or Im, or someone/thing.)

I really don’t get why people are so okay with Luffys exponential growth while not being okay with Koby doing the same.. Koby was even trained by Garp earlier than Luffy was trained by Rayleigh.
Because luffy is the mc who is meant to be the strongest and was destined form day 1 and the story was lay out for him to be this strong but coby just gets random boosts everytime we see him

I think it would be fitting if the fleet admiral would be Issho - blind justice like Justitia. Admirals: coby - Orange, Ryokugyu - green and Smoker - white.
Koby is to Luffy what Luffy is to Shanks isn't it? So less of a rival and more of a role model. And when Koby becomes a "great marine" then he will get to fight again with Luffy, just like when Luffy becomes a "great pirate" he will meet with Shanks again.
We've so easily thrown Momonga and the other "buster call" vice admirals into the dustbin. Momonga especially is far stronger than Smoker and Coby (in my opinion). I don't think they'll just be sidelined for smoker and Coby for the positions of admirals. Let's not even forget garp's right hand. These are marines on a much higher level in strength and rank than Coby and smoker.

I think that Ryokugyu might be the next fleet admiral and that is when we start to learn more about him. From what we briefly got about him it seems that he is a very mysterious and almost insane character that could make for a very good main antagonist besides Blackbeard
Out of the box theory: What if Kizaru became Fleet Admiral? With his lazy Justice he could let people with stronger drives (Koby and the like) do the justice they seek, while also bring in good with the old guard that don't want new people in power. Also in Sabaody he absolutely could have brought in most of the Supernovas easily, but instead bright in 100 unnamed pirates. I feel he may not be the loyal Akainu follower many seem to believe him to be.
Btw, apparently people are holding Koby in a very low regard. It's lame of them. Koby is one of the strongest in the marines, possibly even more powerful than even Smoker.

Koby and Helmeppo (but mostly Koby) were basically nobodies who wished to become strong marines. What sealed the deal for Garp was prob the fact that Koby was Luffy’s friend.

Coby legitimately seems to be the parallel to Luffy of this generation, what if in a future arc we learn that Roger and Garp had a first meeting similar to Luffy and Coby's? And it is the only reason why Roger and Garp were adversaries that were friends, they both met early into their journey's and helped each other. Covy still has nothing but respect and admiration for the pirate that is Luffy, and while he would attempt to arrest Luffy, I think he would just as easily work with him to take down a common enemy just like Garp and Roger. Idk... just what I have felt ever since we saw that interaction between Roger and Garp between the bars when Roger first turned himself in and asked Garp to save Ace, just seems like it was more than a few fights that made Garp feel that strongly about Roger to break the law and save Ace.

If we want to think out of the box, I'd add Bogart to the equitation, Garp's right hand man. He is Garp's right hand man for a reason and he is based on a real life actor, matching the theme of the admirals being based on actors (but Bogart is based on an American actor instead of a Japanese). Thus, he could be an admiral by the end of the story.

Coby current rank is already very impressive considering in the beginning of the series when he join the marines he started at the bottom. I know its fiction but if this was reality, It would take many years just to reach the rank of Captain let alone an Admiral. So considering the rate he is going atm, Admiral is very close within his reach.
Coby is going to become admiral, but only once everything is over. It's a perfect scenario for the epilogue of OP. Him becoming an admiral as soon as the final war starts/ends would make zero sense narratively (and I'm not even talking about the power growth inconsistencies this would create).

Well to be fair we did have a 2 year time-skip and during that time he was being trained by Garp who is arguably the strongest marine.
Insights from Japan!
Since the first admiral trio were based on the animals that accompanied the hero of Momotaro and the second trio were based on the ox-tiger (ushitora) zodiac cardinal directions (konjin) that influenced the appearance of two gate demons in the same story, most Japanese fans I've seen are speculating the last trio will include the last two Momotaro-animal-and-zodiac animals: the sheep and the horse, which, along with the monkey, are opposite the ox-tiger duo on the zodiac. While there is no compound word used for them in Japanese like there is for ushitora, we might still see sheep (hitsuji) and horse (uma) in their names. If Coby really is part of the new trio, I suspect he'll be the sheep, especially considering Garp once referred to him as a "lamb" (kohitsuji).
Alternatively, they may revert back to red and blue and give us the main antagonists of Momotaro: the red and blue oni. Also suggested is that, admirals aside, both the "graduated" Akainu (red) and Aokiji (blue) now thematically represent the red and blue oni already and that thematic will become more apparent later.
Granted, I don't particularly indulge in speculation. I just figured I'd chime in with some of my own insights since I suspect not many people are intimately familiar with Japan, the story of Momotaro, or prowl the Japanese internet.

Hoped to find someone stating this. I came to around the same conclusion or at least I'm using the same story. I'll put Coby as orange crab, because he had multiple things happening to him in the same way the crab did in the story, for example getting knocked out by the dog. I would also keep Fujitora and Ryokugyu completing this color scheme as red + blue = purple, blue + yellow = green and yellow + red = orange. If you combine these colors again, we'll get to have white for our fleet admiral. Smoker might be the most fitting for that role, but the evidence leading to him is the weakest. White would, based on the story, be compared to the white dragon, which is Momotaro himself, but again the only thing leading to Smoker would be his devil fruit, and personality in the sense of justice, courage and so on.
Most of this theory was already stated way back in 2013 if I remember correctly. But let's be honest, for Smoker to reach fleet admiral something really big has to happen in the future.

I feel Aokiji would be the best fit out of those for fleet admiral, I think he'd have more of a connection to the 3 new admirals than Fujitora. I think SWORD will play a part in a coup/reforming of the marines after some of the final story parts come together and it'll be revealed to the average marines that X-drake and Kuzan were only pretending to be pirates on covert missions. Aokiji also obviously favours Smoker and he used to be Garp's trainee like Coby is now. It fits quite neatly... so Oda wont do it. :P

They wont trust any of the current admirals and if Kuzan is secretly working for SWORD who don't seem to be working for the world government, Aokiji and Garp would be the senior people from that group, so bringing him back would make sense.

Because there's no reasonable way to have either Koby or Smoker get to his current level. Sakazuki is not a rival but an enemy, Kizaru is too laid back to really fill that role, Fujitora fits better for Zoro, and Ryokugyu we have no information on... Meanwhile below current and former admirals in ranking we have not seen a single one with the feats to indicate how any of them would be able to go toe to toe with current Luffy aside from maybe Garp, who already filled that slot for Roger.
Only one I could see is Kuzan if he gets back to his regular post and this whole leaving thing was just an infiltration or whatever.

For the longest time, I've held on to the idea that Koby would become the next leader of the Marines. But instead of wanting Luffy captured or dead...I imagine he'd honor their friendship by pardoning the Straw Hats of whatever "crimes" they've committed.
Think about it; if Luffy didn't protect and save Koby the way he did so long ago, the little man wouldn't be where he is now. So, I don't really follow the idea of him becoming a blood-thirsty rival of Luffy's or that he'd want to follow in Akainu's footsteps and hunt him down.
Instead, I see him trying to establish a new Moral Justice amongst the Marines

Dragon is a great candidate for fleet admiral. It would fall along the same reasoning as sabo for admiral. The leader of the revolution army turns into the leader of the marines. Basically doing the exact same job.
There's no way Oda will end the story without making Coby admiral atleast. helmeppo maybe vice admiral? and smoker does seem like another worthy admiral. both coby & smoker also have good characteristics. not sure abt drake however. he does have more power but eh who knows.
Both drake and smoker are nowhere near first commander/admiral level, smoker cant even defeat someone like virgo who is nothing more than fodder compared to the big guys ( admirals, yonkos, first commander). Hell, even flamingo is fodder compared to those. He may have the personality of a good admiral but he is way too weak.Imagine katakuri vs smoker/drake: it would look 1:1 the same as katakuri vs luffy without G4 with the difference that they arent MCs and therefore dont have the "I can tank an unlimited amount of damage" bonus which means they are out cold after a few (heavy) hits, especially smoker who has pretty much no durability at all.
I am not a fan of having such weak admirals, Sabo would be a good admiral and coby has great potential (we havent seen anything about post timeskip cobys power yet) and he is also trained by garp. Smoker has the personality but not the power backing it up, drake has neither the necessary personality nor the power.
I would like the following (fleet) admirals: Coby, fujitora, sabo ( who knows how likely this is) and aokiji.

7:32 yes, BUT! Dinosaur is "kyouryuu" (恐竜) which includes the kanji for Dragon "ryuu" (竜). Lizard, which is "sekiryuu" (石竜) also uses the dragon kanji. I don't know to what extent this is behind Oda's intentions though.
There were admirals before Kuzan, Sakazuki and Borsalino. Garp rejected becoming one while Aokiji was still his trainee. And I reckon Sengoku had to be one under Fleet Admiral Kong.
In episode 0. Kong was the Fleet Admiral, Sengoku was an Admiral and Garp was and still is a Vice Admiral
some said that garp was supposed to be fleet admiral but thats wrong. he was offered the admiral position several times but not fleet admiral. And yes sengoku was an admiral before under fleet admiral kong.
to summarize: sengoku and garp are BOTH at least YONKO level. and BOTH was or would be an ADMIRAL at one point during their career.......

To me Coby also has the highest learning curving in the series (surpassing even Luffy's) thus why Garp's training so effective on him. He is basically the marine version of Luffy in many ways thus possibly his rival yet in more friendly way from the start. Compare to how Roger and Garp ended up
Personally I think Kuzan won the right to be Fleet Admiral once already but decided not to take it. Leading to him doing what he is doing now and could end up taking it after the marine have reformed though other then him possibly choices could be Fujitora with wild card choices being Green Bull and even Kizaru(no one knows what that guy is thinking or his true motives yet)
Koby, i still think with his calming power he will be the the one to stop the fight between the marines and luffy, or should i say the plot to shank luffy. The marines will be the bad guys and in the end and Koby will be the light within their corruption. Koby will be the one to rebuild them after Luffy wipes the grand line with them.

I'd like to reference episode 985 of the anime where the flashback to the Rocks pirates features 6 silhouettes with the colors Pink (Big Mom), Green (Kaido), Yellow (Xebec), Blue (Whitebeard), Red (?), Purple (?) which corresponds to the current admirals Green Bull, Yellow Monkey, Blue Pheasant, Red Dog and Purple Tiger, with the exception of the color Pink. I think Coby becoming an admiral has been heavily foreshadowed and I think there's a huge chance of Coby and Luffy fighting together like Roger and Garp once did.

The WG gave Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru their logia DF's, I think the WG will give Koby a very powerful DF to bring him closer to the top tiers of the verse. It's too far fetched to believe Koby would be strong enough EOS to play a major role combat wise after training for just 2 years after being a below average human in physical attributes.

Garp can teach koby to keep punching the air, don't know how he can bridge the gap between luffy with his monster genetic heritage and well utilised devil fruit and fighting about 10 huge boss battle all of which he was weaker than, arlong, crocodile, buggy, Enel, Rob lucci, donflamingo, cracker, katakuri, marines and now yonkous whilst cultivating his haki to the max level at each step.
@@RyuMasterEX Your komugi parallel is just wrong because you have forgotten a key part of the equation, which is talent. Even HxH put a huge emphasis on talent. Its why Gon and Killua easily learnt Nen while Zushi who was already considered talented was still struggling.
Garp is the hero of the marine who specifically choose Koby after seeing him training. For Garp to have gone out of his way to do that must have meant Koby had it in him. Do I see Koby being as strong as luffy? No, but if he is given a decent fruit on top of Garp tutoring then he can be close.
Now that you think about it. All admiral has a fruit and even previous admiral like Sengoku tho what's interesting is what fruit will he get he seems like the speedy kinda guy so maybe his fruit will have something that helps with his speed but I dunno.

Koby will surely become an admiral , and will definatly get strong enough to be “admiral level” , given his growth rate is arguable the 4th highest in the whole series after Luffy Zoro Sanji.
Smoker is already in his late 30s early 40s , so I’m not entirely sure how much stronger he will get , and even then , will he reach admiral level ?
Smoker is nowhere near admiral level tbh. Neither is Drake if I'm being honest. The former has had to ally with pirates and rogues for most of his time spent in the second half of the GL, whereas the latter was beaten terribly by a CP0 officer in what seemed to be a pretty one sided battle. Also Apoo is nowhere near admiral level, so the fact Drake seems to be an equal to him doesn't suggest very positive things for his growth.
It'd be funny to see someone like Helmeppo become Admiral with Koby as the Fleet Admiral. Oda would probably see all this discussion about "who's gonna be the next powerhouse of the navy" and do a little trolling lol.

Koby’s growth rate is arguably the fastest or second, only Luffy himself can be argued to be growing faster than Koby. Look where he started as compared to where everyone else started, and he’s closing the gap between them.. which means he’s moving through the power rankings at a faster pace. The series has been what 3 years in their in-verse time and Koby is already trusted with being in a special ops org. and taking part in taking down a Shichibukai (one which may be one of the stronger ones at that, considering the conquerors n the fact that we’ve never seen her struggle)

He didn’t really get serious about getting strong till he got to Loguetown n even then a big part of his character arc is him learning that he has to take ‘power’ and the acquiring of it more seriously .. and that became more clear to him step by step from Alabasta to Water 7 saga to impel down to marine ford to sabaody and now in the Yonko saga. We can see Luffy’s training speed really shine in the short bursts of seriousness we get n as he progressively mature n stop looking at things like a game. But yeah, Koby is absolute dynamite and I can’t wait for him to make a big splash on the world stage n replace Garp as the new hero.

The person who I would like to see an admiral is somebody who, honestly, is less likely to become an admiral than Sabo: “All-Hunt” Grunt. Grunt is a filler character and he best described as a Marine-version of Luffy. He’s reckless, strong, and seeks to be the best (“like no one ever was”). The problem is that he non-canon, invented by the anime department, and haven’t appeared in the series proper.

My prediction is Kuzan as Fleet Admiral, with Koby, Smoker and Fujitora as Admirals. Why Kuzan over Fujitora? He's been in the marines much longer then fujitora, and he was also originally recommended by sengoku to replace him. He's currently with Blackbeard, but I don't think he's truly betrayed the marines. For the admirals, Koby- duh, it's his dream. Smoker just fits the role perfectly in my mind, and follows the logia theme of the og admirals trio. Fujitora- no reason to oust him, he's already a great admiral

Corby, X Drake and Smoker as Admirals, Fleet Admiral Fujitora and Helmeppo and Tashigi as Vice Admirals under there respective Admiral. That would be a good lineup in my opinion based on what u brought up in the Vid.

the best scenario for me is coby and sabo teaming up to defeat akainu. sabo taking revenge for ace using his own fruit, and coby beating akainu because their justices differ, one is peaceful and the other is more like warmongering
The Spider guy or the Mohawk captain seems like good candidates as well! They seem like they follow orders, and they can make the tough calls!

I don’t see garp training someone who doesn’t have the potential to become an admiral also smoker is around 35 and not exactly impressive I doubt he will grow enough to become one his age would also make it weird because all the admirals of the past are comparable in age but smoker is almost 20 years older than koby

Also Koby has been training with Garp from before the timeskip, during and after. So he likely is a lot stronger than we think he is.

I'm sure that following its collapse, a new Admiralty would take shape, with Koby stepping into Garp's "hero and legend" role, and Drake potentially filling in the space that Sengoku did.
What if Luffy and Koby team up to defeat the final boss just like Garp and Roger did. I think that would be an amazing ending.

So we met Coby at the start of the series some 20 years ago or whatever…in real life years, his rank makes sense. In universe, haven’t only a couple years passed? The promotion rate in the OP marines is insane.

I think it will be like this in the future:
Fleet admiral (replacing lavaboy) will be Kobe.
Admirals will be Smoker, X Drake and Fujitora(because Fuji didnt care about a rank higher then admiral).
Also I think Garp will retire from marines all together.

I think coby should be a normal admiral, such a young fleet admiral would be weird. Smoker and x drake as admirals is as embarassing as appointing buggy, crocodile and arlong to be the new yonkos ( of course it is a bit of an exaggeration). I mean, who is supposed to be afraid of those two weaklings? Stronger pirates would just laugh theirs asses off, those two would completely destroy the admirals reputation even though smoker has the personality of an admiral, no doubt. I can see aokiji coming back and lets see what kind of guy greenbull is, maybe he is also a decent guy with good mentality.
@@marcello7941 totally agree. Coby is too young and too unexperienced to be a fleet Admiral. Becoming a fleet Admiral is not about power but reputation, influence, experience and leadership (that's why the only candidates to fleet Admiral that we know so far are always admirals) There's no way someone like Coby has the experience and world knowledge that it's required and could inspire the respect and authority people like akainu, aokiji, garp, kizaru, smoker, fuji, among others, can, since most marines would look at him like he is some young punk. The only way I see Coby beeing fleet Admiral in the Manga, is if it's in a 10 o 20 years flashforward.
About smoker, I can see him becoming an Admiral but we should be able to see insane things from him. Xdrake I completely doubt it.
I think Smoker would make a great FA. Even if he's not a powerhouse he can still hold his own and is a natural leader with a righteous sense of justice

Kizaru and Ryokugyu are great marines, I’d be disappointed if they both went to waste. I’m kinda hoping Kizaru stays as an admiral. Kizaru is probably the near-perfect law enforcer, as in he’s the most neutral marine in the Navy; he’s not like Akainu or Aokiji, he will show mercy against pirates and has a moral code, but he won’t let them get away in case they cause harm in the future.
I was just watching the new one piece opening (op 24) and it gave me a crazy theory. I don’t think it will happen at all but it’s at least a fun thing to share or think about. In the scene where Law and Kid pull luffy out of the water and throw him into the sky it can be seen that their limbs stretch. This is most likely just an animation technique used to emphasise the motion. But, and just imagine. What if it’s luffys next gear or awakening? What if his next ability is that he can briefly share his strength with those in contact with him or that he chooses. This is a completely outrageous theory, and even I don’t think it has a chance. But it was a cool random idea that I thought was worth sharing. If anyone has actually read this, Hello!

It's funny that referenced Charmander in talking about Koby, because I've mentioned for years that Koby in One Piece is basically a Pokémon: Every single time we catch up with him, it's like he's gone through some kind of evolution.
I definitely believe people are sleeping on him. He has the highest growth rate of any character in the series. And I definitely subscribe to the theory that he and Luffy are probably going to team up a-la Roger and Garp against a common foe (either Teach, or Im, or someone/thing.)

I really don’t get why people are so okay with Luffys exponential growth while not being okay with Koby doing the same.. Koby was even trained by Garp earlier than Luffy was trained by Rayleigh.
Because luffy is the mc who is meant to be the strongest and was destined form day 1 and the story was lay out for him to be this strong but coby just gets random boosts everytime we see him

We've so easily thrown Momonga and the other "buster call" vice admirals into the dustbin. Momonga especially is far stronger than Smoker and Coby (in my opinion). I don't think they'll just be sidelined for smoker and Coby for the positions of admirals. Let's not even forget garp's right hand. These are marines on a much higher level in strength and rank than Coby and smoker.

I think that Ryokugyu might be the next fleet admiral and that is when we start to learn more about him. From what we briefly got about him it seems that he is a very mysterious and almost insane character that could make for a very good main antagonist besides Blackbeard

With his lazy Justice he could let people with stronger drives (Koby and the like) do the justice they seek, while also bring in good with the old guard that don't want new people in power.
Also in Sabaody he absolutely could have brought in most of the Supernovas easily, but instead bright in 100 unnamed pirates. I feel he may not be the loyal Akainu follower many seem to believe him to be.
