The axolotl fruit would be useful because if you ever fell in water you couldnt drown and if you only use your hybrid form for fights you'd still be able to breath and regenerate lost limbs even up to half your face.
And Magellan only had diarrhea because he drinks poison constantly. He doesnt have to do that.

It also caused his brain and head to expand continuously as he acquires new knowledge. But it also goes on to say While Vegapunk was already a natural genius, the Nomi Nomi no Mi absolutely enhanced his mental efficiency and aptitude for learning and research

Which for a genius scientist who could mitigate the issues isn't a major problem, but imagine your PC permanently downloads every single thing. Every website, image, chat log, every single thing it encounters it permanently saves it and you can't remove it. Eventually your desktop starts to look like a dang server farm.

@lkjkhfggd yeah but imagine he came back a bit earlier after his death and was now a decaying Skeleton with permanent rotting flesh. Franky already called him a monster upon meeting him and said others will be pretty slow to accept but now imagine he's also a horrible rotting zombie creature.
Or let's say he returned way earlier just as he died, the poison is still in his system and he lives under excruciating pain forever and still has his regular body, so no bone benefits (which includes his speed). As is, he actually probably got the best scenario possible for his devil fruit. Much as that scenario may suck, he does have all his powers and his body is in a good state to last for a very long time.
Really surprised that you didnt include Sugar’s Hobby Hobby fruit. The obvious curse being that you are stuck as whatever age you eat it at for the rest of your life. And as all ages have their ups and downs, this would become a curse very quickly after eating it. Also, the curse of the knowledge of what you do to people if you use it on them. Sugar is a genuine psychopath so it doesnt matter to her, but anybody else would be haunted by what they do.

As much of a joke character as Wapol is, his Devil Fruit has some of the most potential in the entire series. The metal he made was quite literally a new combination of materials with insane durability the likes of which was completely unheard of to modern science and he *made it out of trash.* The World Government, who *had* Vegapunk at this time, decided they still wanted Wapol and his Wapometal enough that they gave him an entire kingdom.

its not immortality its just that he can produce regenerative flames. he can still die of old age and even wear sea prism stone to negate any automatic healing if that even happens (i doubt it tho). realistically its rlly good as you become able to heal minor wounds and be a good on the field medic to treat injured and u can fly.

Are you sure about Sandersonia's and Marigold's DFs? Maybe Sandersonia just decides to keep her snake tongue at all times. Snakes smell with their tongues so that gives her improved perception. And she didn't have her tongue out in the short flashback when the Boa sisters were freed from Mary Geoise by Fisher Tiger at which point they already were forced to eat their DFs. There they all seemed very normal (for One Piece standards at least)

if it froze your muscles, you also can't move. Joints are moved by muscles and nerves , if your pectoral muscle are frozen, you can't move your shoulder. Same goes for biceps and elbow, etc

Honestly, I thought Magellan would be here. Doku Doku (Venom Venom) is quite powerful, but a side effect of basically constant "diarrhea/bowl movement" seems like a curse, right?
That's not a side effect of the fruit, that's because Magellan is a goddamn weirdo who chooses to eat poison because it tastes good.
Actually that's a blessing of the fruit, you are almost inmune to any poison, you just get a strong diarrhea, the problem is that Magellan loves eating poison

For Jozu, you'd think it would be better for him to start a punch or kick, then turn his fist or foot to diamond after it was moving. And if he undid it in a flash afterwards, it could add to the twinkle twinkle name. Not sure how long it takes him to change or change back, but he should probably work on that.
Yeah like... it's kind of weird how he's turning entire portions of his body into diamond rather than, say, just his fists or the back of his arm or his elbow or ect ect because then he could have the flexibility of flesh with a 'diamond tipped' weapon at the end of it. Hell, if he was good enough with the fruit, one would think he could transform the portions of his body which *don't* have flexibility while keeping his joints flesh so that he could continue to move while still being mostly diamond.
also the most cursed devil fruit is the "hito hito no mi" imagine being a chill animal in the forest and all the sudden having to deal with existential dread and taxes.

Surprised you didn't add the jacket fruit since the user becomes immobile in it's jacket form until someone puts them on.
One Piece fandom says that the user maintains the ability to move and talk while turned into a jacket. The weaknesses are that you need a host to take control over, and even after doing so, it's not like the ability is particularly that powerful or anything. The curse is you missed out on the thousands of significantly better devil fruits.
It's sorta useful in real life though. You can save a whole airplane ticket by either being worn by another person, or riding in their luggage. Assuming it's not uncomfortable, you can sleep or hide in a closet hanging on a rack. Speculatively, assuming you become as light as a jacket, under high winds you could act like a kite and fly. Also, if you get a huge wound or if you lose an arm, I don't see why you couldn't get the injury healed by going into your jacket form and having someone sow it up.
So yeh, with some creativity, the devil fruit has some potential.

Interestingly, the Brain Brain fruit is very similar to the Unforgettable power from Undead Unluck, with it granting hyperknowledgeability. Nico focuses more on the curse of never forgetting and Vegapunk focuses more on the benefits of never forgetting.

Jozu’s fruit has some very creative work arounds, like just turning your fist into diamonds or a flying kick and turn legs into diamonds before impact
I think a very interesting question in defense of the nomi-nomi nomi, would be "how much information would constitute a 1 pound increase"
vegapunk is constantly learning and pursuing knowledge so we might just be seeing an extreme case. I think your average person might just get a 5 head at worst (6 if they already have 5)
Calling this Gasha Gasha no Mi a cursed fruit because the user needs to read books beforehand to make use of it is a really strange take considering the one piece community always seems to agree that the Ope Ope no Mi is one of the most overpowered fruits in the verse. The operation devil fruit requires you to have extensive medical knowledge to use, I think it's quite feasible to think someone in one piece who isnt a movie villain could make use of the engineering fruit. The Straw-hats literally have a self engineered devilfruitless cyborg in their crew, if only there was a fruit power suited for him.
Edit: I forgot to answer your video question; without refreshing myself on all the devilfruits I'd have to say Magelleon's (sp?) devil fruit had one of the worst drawbacks. Spending most of your day, every day, on the toilet would be awful.
Yeah, Liam’s take on the Gasha Gasha no Mi really didn’t make sense considering that one of the universally agreed upon strongest devil fruits, the Ope Ope no Mi, requires a PHD in medical knowledge to use it effectively.
With Magellan's devil fruit, you don't actually have to stay in the babathroom at all.
He basically does that to himself by consuming poisonous substances, which in turn gives him a deahorea... the problem with that devil fruit seems to be how little control Magellan has over it to the point where even the air he is breathing comes out poisonous.

Thou hast forgotten the Dark Dark Fruit, which is a Logia that not only can't bypass attacks, but actually DOUBLES the amount of damage they would normally inflict on you. Unless you have absurdly high levels of stamina, like Blackbeard, that fruit would be almost crippling in battle.

I wonder if Big News Morgans' Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Albatross is cursed since he never leaves his hybrid form, though it could also just be that he prefers to present himself that way.
I give honorable mention to Sugar’s devil fruit.
You forget who you turn into toys, even your own soldiers, can’t age physically so you’re stuck looking like a kid, and don’t have a solid defense or transformation to protect from blunt attacks if someone bigger than you hits you with a club.
If I were her and ate that devil fruit, I’d have retired to eating grapes out of the picture myself. Doflamingo made good use of it, but on my own I don’t think it’s worth it.
Saddest thing is Sandersonia and Marigold didnt even choose to eat their abilities, all three Gorgon sisters were force fed the devil fruits as slaves

Your talk on the gasha gasha fruit got me thinking. The nomi nomi fruit paired with it would be SUPER OP. So knowing that is indeed possible to have more than 1 devil fruit, what are the best devil fruit combinations?
Jozu sounds like he’d be a phenomenal chokeholder, or great at all kinds of joint-locking based maneuvers.
I wholeheartedly believe that Wapol's Munch-Munch Fruit is probably one of the strongest devil fruits in the series. Yes, you will always be hungry, but in a fight, adrenaline blocks feeling of hunger so it doesn't really matter if you are occupied. Another reason is the rule for the fruit: you eat something, you have 24hrs to use it, or it dissappears. My headcanon is that the awakening make eaten items less of a token system and more of a catalogue, which could be used to make way better machines than the clank fruit. As well as the existence of Wapometal, who knows how far this fruit could actually go, invention wise.

In regards to Jozu's fruit I'd like to point out that a material's hardness doesn't correlate to its strength when being assaulted with sheering or tensile forces. Yes he can deflect a lot of stuff by turning into diamond, but a solid enough hit on his arm will induce enough sheering force his arm'll just pop off.

Douglas Bullet's fruit would probably be best used by someone like Blackbeard. He knows the secret to having multiple DFs and with the additional nomi nomi no mi (which Blackbeard would also know how to steal, if it would part of his schemes) he could learn and memorize even more crazy applications of Douglas' fruit than what we've seen in the movie.
Imagine how strong Vander's fruit would be if it was being used by a competent hand to hand fighter going blow for blow tossing out weapons as you attack to make fighting you even more difficult

The diamond fruit is interesting. Because as shown on marine fort: It really gives INCREDIBLE defense. But yeah I agree that it is above average in difficulty to properly utilize. But as shown it just has a high skill ceiling.
But training it is also pretty straightforward. Just harden parts and experiment. So yeah, high skll ceiling, because you are gonna do a lot of that before it becomes really useful. Well outside of of the easiest use of hardening your fist. Or stationary blocking. So I would actually say the gomu gomu is more complicated. Because it is harder to get better of then before eating it. Well, outside of the suffocation risk.
The bana bana reminds me of the stress quirk from mha. Like, yeah, people are stressed decently often, but you better hope you’re having a bad day or have crippling social anxiety if you wanna just use it on a whim lol
Wait, Bullet's fruit could be used for art at least. I can "disassemble" paint, clay or other stuff and assemble it again forming a painting! It could be like drawing or sculpting with the mind :D
jozu fruit would be good if you could for example just turmn your fists diamond or maybe if there are timing restrictions for the fruit cause if there really is not a timing thing for the fruit then just turn the part of your body that is about to get hit into diamond similar to the way AOT titan hardening works
daimond Jozu could just harden smaller portions of his body. Imagine his spin on cp9's finger pistol or if he hardened halfway down his for arm to the tip of his fist so he can still swing the arm around and make use of his shoulder and elbow. Or if he wanted to stick to the juggernaut gimmick he could have hardened his body in sections while avoiding joints and other dynamic parts of the body. He's just a smooth brain who can't effectively use his fruit
