- It is quite frustrating to search for a house, and finding the right one can be a pain in the neck.
Sometimes the neighborhood is lovely but the houses are not suitable for you, and sometimes you find the perfect house but this time surroundings are not preferable. If only there were a way to move your favorite house to the perfect neighborhood… Well, there is, and the process is called “building relocation” but how do you move a building in the first place? Moreover, is it expensive to move a building?
The process is nothing like transporting fabricated houses or mobile homes. It involves using powerful jacks and moving the building on skids. However, there are a lot of measures and precautions to be taken before moving anything. For such a hard task, competent professionals and powerful tools are required. They make preparations and carefully evaluate the building’s structural integrity to find the best way to lift and move it without significantly injuring it.
After all the planning, there will still be some minor issues to be taken care of such as disconnecting sewage systems, electricity, and removing the furniture. Only then can the actual work start. If you are interested in how this entire process is done and what kind of things are taken into consideration before moving a building, we highly recommend you to watch our video for further information! Who knows, maybe you will find a way to live in your favorite house by relocating it to the most perfect neighborhood…

imagine driving to work one day and there's just an entire hotel in the middle of the road. imagine waking up to go to work one day and your entire apartment building was driving to a new state. absolutely terrifying.
Sounds fun
Well,
1. The road will likely be closed as it’s too dangerous
2. The amount of time it would take to prepare the building is long so you would notice the preparation
Pixar used balloons 🤷♂️ 🙃😁

How about the seven-floor office building moved in Indianapolis in 1930? It took a month to rotate it 90 degrees and move it about 100 feet. The 600 employees continued to work inside normally, and utilities were never interrupted.
Should have seen this type of stuff in my first year of engineering :3 Would have been more excited about the coursework :p
0:53 this is very wrong info, because in 1987 in Romania a whole apartment block weighing 7600 Tonnes was split in half and completely relocated, with people left inside, with no damage whatsoever. As of this day the building still stands, and it was one of the most challenging relocations in the whole world. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structure_relocation
the Indiana Bell building (11k tons) wasn't moves but just rotated 90 degrees
Or 12,700t gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most, Czechia. It was moved 841.1 meters to its new location.
Imagine if they want to move a building but Thor left his hammer in it
yaaaawwwnn
"During the 20th century about 100 buildings in Moscow were moved to a different location. The Soviet capital was often under reconstruction. Many old prerevolutionary buildings were simply demolished but some lucky ones survived but were moved to a different location.
The heaviest house ever moved is now located at Tverskaya, 6, it is completely hidden behind the façade of Stalinist buildings. This house weighs 23,000 tons. The house was relocated at night Nov. 4, 1939 with people inside."
This guy sounds like he's broadcasting big-time wrestling!
Will these companies move Patrick's pet stone?
"If someone does not go towards mountain then mountain can move towards someone."(there was quote in that direction) 😏
Who are here after Sardar ka Grandson movie ? 😊😊
i legitimately thought that one photo of a house on a truck was a photoshop meme, holy shit
Huge wheels and rollers should be a mainstay in many buildings this days in many of the structures foundations, for them to be configured, prepared and to always anticipate and avoid any casualties in any infrastructure projects for both private and public sectors, industries, from small, medium and large structures respectively. SMEs......GM
I thought it was click bait 😅😅
The house can be moved to a different location but I wonder, how about its foundation? how deep it is and its durability when an earthquake and hurricane comes?
You can move the foundations with it or pour a new on usually it’s easier to just pour a new one and safer however the foundation does help from movement during the move and causes less damage here in California a building moving process can’t go any faster then 15 mph on the road (no hwy access) and there’s a weight limit on the roads if the home is to much has to be cut up
I’m in demolition/moving and should have my own c21 license building moving and demolition within a few months
So does this mean that all of the Castles in the Disney Parks are able to be relocated to other parts of the world?
Can the giant golf ball at Epcot, which has a ride inside, also be moved?
Awesome and do video on geotechnical engineering
Amazing.
And i watch hgtv channels dat got me thinking a house can't be move to new thank for info
awesome
But how are they lifting really big buildings like the 'Bahndirektion' in Stuttgart? The building weights around 15.000 tons and is around 100 years old.
Take me home :)
Expensive than building a new house.
I had no idea any of this was even a thing.
Dream House can move now anywhere.
Amazing, it's like transporing the space rockets.
Who first did this method?
God bless, Rev. 21:4
How
We need this technology in India
i hope one day they also can move coutry to another country
This is called invasion. Its happening right now in Ukraine, Ughurs, Tibet etc.
a wooden house is not a house , its wood.
The reason i opened this video was to see if i can move my brick house this way?
so . . . can we relocate a skyscraper? 🤣
Doubt it, skyscrapers only stay up because of the deep foundation
meow meow meow meow meow
This is only possible in western countries where the houses are made of wood mostly
Entammoo😲😲
Eda Mallu, avasanam oru malayali kitti
@@kabali0079 ahhh best👌
meow meow meow meow meow
No, the biggest building that ever got moved was in the 1930s
woooooooooo
Ist view
China already did this they move a school.
meow meow meow meow meow
Do you talk like that all day ?
Lookie there... everything moved needs wheels underneath it and is to be placed on a trailer, so everything is a mobile home. 1:08 “Not to be confused with prefabricated buildings or mobile homes... ummmm...I’m looking at the “expensive” buildings and homes being mobile (moved). Just another attempt to keep us all divided by “class”. At least “the mobile home” has wheels already.
Just go and watch how chinese people move their Skyscrapers...this is nothing compare to that
