The artistic choice of having the red beast wake up facing away from from Madera is everything. It woke up and turned towards Madera. The beast was always there and had to be directed
He should at least be taken out for 8 days ( fitting for the 8 gates ). No limitations at all would mean Boruto will use it in the future too.
