I am 46 years old and listening metal music since I was 14. It is the first time I have listen Evergrey. What have I missed in all this time?. It is one of the best songs of this year.
Man I am in the same boat, seen the name for years, never got around to it, tight songwriting and great vocal hooks
It is higly unlikable that you haven't heard the song "A touch of blessing" back in the 2000's. It was all over the music tv shows where we were still hearing some good music on the TV.
My favorite album is inner circle, my intro in metal world
You should def check it out for all their albums. Really lots of masterpieces

Completely agree, outstanding on so many levels. My mind is blown.
I am all in with Gio below. This no longer music it is an experience. I know a great majority of the 80`s heavy metal artists personally. I have 5 years Bel Canto opera training under my belt. I met them here on their last USA tour in LA. Enough. I have no damn idea how they write songs. What? You can't disect anything about anything about the chords, drumming (Jonas is way the fugg off the charts) other than it is blended perfectly for all of us to hear. I am NOT kidding they are geniuses. Unique and perfect. A band called Zepplin comes to mind on this stuff. Wow just wow. I am glad God gave me ears to hear this.

This song has a special meaning in my life. When it was released(February)I was with my father spending a little time together then it was our last meeting, cause I lost him one month ago. So every single day I come up here to watch this vídeo. I've never had the opportunity to express some love or just say that I loved him.
It's incredible how this band after more than ten albums is continuing creating such awesome music.

These guys are unstoppable.. every album is an improvement up one the previous masterpiece.
I like how it's 30 fps in sections with the "story" and 60 fps when it's the band playing. Makes it even more cinematic. Also this song has already become my most listened song in 2022. For the whole year.
That's one of the strongest choruses Evergrey have written in years. Also some of the best keys and synth work since 2014

One of the best songs they've ever done IMO. They've outdone themselves with this one. Incredible chorus but incredible everything really!
Seriously love the interaction between Tom and Henrik during the solos too, that's so cool to see.
Tom is extremely underrated as a lead player also. That technique where he's repeatedly tapping a note but then sliding up into the same note is super creative and tasty.
Every time EVERGREY releases an album it is much better than the previous one!!, this is simply a wonderful song.

I feel you. I'm in a Metalcore band and copied Evergrey's general riffage and piano type synths in the background multiple times, but my bandmates - who don't listen to Melodic Metal - never noticed lol

I can not believe it. More Evergrey new material so soon! You guys must have worked on a lot of new stuff during the pandemic. What a weird time though when the covid situation meant you could barely get out and play the stuff from Escape, live. All positives though. In the last 2 years we'll have had 2 studio albums and a live album. I can't wait for this.
Escape of the Phoenix was one of the biggest surprises of 2021. I loved that album. Fingers crossed for a repeat as I did not see this album coming either and so far it's sounding epic.
