@doctoreyehealth, you might find it interesting, I have poor circulation in and out of my head (in a general sense not strictly blood) via my neck and have experienced significant increase in dryness since getting injured.
Is it possible that it's harder for rem sleep to occur during daytime. Maybe due to your other senses potentially being more alert due to other people's schedule? I always find (I'm a night shifter) people are just generally more groggy or as if there's a lot more brain waste there?

With chronic health issues tied to elevated stress and diagnosed PTSD, I can't remember the last time I had a full night's sleep. I do remember several years ago celebrating a night when I slept for 4 1/2 hours straight for the first time in over a decade. I've got a scleral band in one eye from 2002, and laser work in the other from a few years later. My latest check up found early glaucoma, and I had no idea that pressure would make me susceptible, on top of a family history. I've just discovered your channel, and hope to find anything I can do to help slow or even better, stop that from progressing. I did manage to stop pre-diabetes from developing any further, when it was identified over 20years ago, so I know the body's capacity for healing is way more than most medicos credit. Thank you for this channel from a new subscriber.

You are correct! If higher amounts of pressure are applied to the surface of the eye for a period of time the cells on the surface of the cornea can be altered. This is usually transient but can induce a refractive change. We do this intentionally in the practice of orthokeratology.

Upon occasion I've fallen asleep with my glasses on and I wonder if it creates a mini wind tunnel. I've told myself that I'm being paranoid but I make sure to remove my glasses and the mask is situated tightly on my face.

Two things I think have improved my eye health along with many of your tips: listening to music that supports relaxation according to research and also use of an air purifier at night. My home's air tightness requires an HRV that circulates outdoor air 24/7. Challenge being I live near a rail yard and multiple construction sites. Between that and the smoke from Canada I suspect cleaning the air has also contributed to eye health for me. Sleep to relaxing music just to get you to that twilight zone on a regular schedule can't be rated high enough for eye health.

Horrible “neighbors” have been disturbing my sleep for years, no matter how much I’ve asked them to stop they haven’t changed. It caused me dry eye disease, and I had lasik eye surgery 20ish years ago, so dry eyes combined with sleeping disorders worsened my eye sight. Just wondering if I could get my eye sight back? It’s 0, 75 - 1,25 (50 astigmate) I’ve been to doctor and got medications like restassis and several eye drops. I wonder if it could get more clear? Or I should use glasses/lenses. She told me I have to use ressaisis at least one year to see any results. I’m just curious anyhow I know it’s not possible to say anything without seeing it in person :) thanks for the video it explained how horribly I got effected by inconsiderate ignorante people, they don’t understand anything no matter how much I’ve explained.

You might want to check out using castor oil on your eyelids. I know, it sounds silly. There are some videos about it. I am using it on my thin skin and it is sure helping with that.

Hey Doc! I just want to say, Can you make a video about Visual Snow Simulation? About seeing the Vortex in your vision? Because I find it very strange that whenever you explain too most doctors about the symptoms that you’re experiencing with your eyes, They seem confused & don’t know what you’re talking about. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, It’s when you see a spinning wheel/fan in your vision! I want to know if it affects your vision or not.

Does that mean it’s not eye-healthy to sleep with eyes covered with sleeping eye masks or similar things, as doing so might prevent proper air circulation around the eyeballs? I sleep with a custom made microfibre eye cover due to dry eyes syndrome which seems to have worked now but my eyesight is getting worse, so please advise me about whether this might be the cause of my eyesight failing while the dryness has been cured?
