I'm trying to change the rear RH lock actuator on a 2012 Elantra Touring and nothing I've found helps, it's not the same as the sedan or the santa fe . I've found nothing on youtube to show how to remove the actuator. The touring is different and hard to find help.

You have to take the seats out first And 3 screws that holds the door panel and give it a hard pull😅

The plastic piece that holds the rods in place, how did you get it loose

Thanks for this. I’d like to “drill a drill bit below where the cross brace is” as you suggested. After much difficulty getting the window up I’m worried the window will come down sometime next few month while I’m deciding to keep or sell. But my 2010 Elantra right rear doesn’t have a hole in the regulator plate where you pulled out your bolt (2:20) -or anything like that near around that level. Larger drill bit doesn’t make a dent. Smaller bit broke and hardly left a dimple. What do you suggest? Also, how do I determine best spot to drill? Seems finding a spot where cross brace will exactly rest on is long shot. Was thinking drilling into the white plastic part of the cross brace makes sense.

I will usually use a hole saw to create a hole large enough to find the cross bracket. After that it's much easier

@@PowerUpAuto Makes you wonder why the factory didn't do that. On that note, I'm still wondering why they blocked the rear caliper bracket bolt with the upper control arm. lol

Please full detail me in on what you were doing in this video??
(Did you have to replace the motor or something behind the metal panel part?)
Seems to me like you only needed to replace the rear window motor and that's it.

The regulator, not the motor. The entire metal panel

2 minutes and 37 seconds were you doing that manually with your power tool inside the motor parts

There's a little round next to the motor pull the tabb and you'll be able to put the window up by hand to get it to your mechanic

I think what you saw was unscrewing the screw that holds the glass to the regulator

My 2010 Elantra’s rear power window won’t stay up. It keeps falling down. The power window motor works but something else must of broken . Any ideas?

All cars. You either need to hold the glass in place or remove it while you change the regulator

when I take off the 8mm bolt at 00:51, the rest of the door handle doesn't come off. I have a 2009 SE

You might try removing the bolt but beyond that its just a matter of getting the key cylinder out. Sorry, I can't be more help.

There’s a small screw under the door handle outside that will allow the whole door mechanism to come out would have been nice to show novices all the details and not go fast speed thru this assuming everyone is a mechanic. That’s what these videos are suppose to be for. professional mechanics rarely watch these.
Power up although some what helpful has done this so many times he assumes everyone has also.

I post the videos at double speed. Most prefer it that way. You should be able to slow it down or watch it a few times and pause it.

I'd imagine how it's been 4 days since your question you've fixed by now. But if not I'd suggest you remove the 10mm bolts. You can easily Google where the clips etc for your model vehicle etc is and go by it. This gits video here is not going cover your issue. There should be a band also that most likely has your window in a bind but if not me trying explain that to you only confuse you more due to you possibly not even having same setup as models I'm referring too. Best of luck brother. If u can't fig It out n need me to help hit me up and ill get more info from you

Motor reinstalled at 11:40. You are only replacing the window regulator, not the motor
