Weight savings are great in general - and "some grams" can make a difference even marginal most of the times. I was there myself and now I go more with weight/durability best value. I am also building my s-works tarmac sl8 now and what is important is durable and great quality hubs, wheels made by hand, best possible frame (best in way of geometry I like) and durable handlebar cockpit and comfy seat. I prefer also original groups not carbon cranks and don't add ceramic anything - it only last first few months. Anyway - it is only me sharing different point of view - sometimes the ride feel, performance and comfort is much higher with not necesarly the lightest bikes. I like your frame, in general not a great fan of the total build but you need to love it not other people. Just curious - if weight is so important for you with every possible gram ... why not s-works frame ? why Specialized ?

Would SRAM Red + something like a Berk full carbon saddle make any difference?

Crazy weight but the cranks look horrible in my opinion. Dura ace looks way sleeker and more pleasing aesthetically.

Not bad! My Sworks SL8 is 5.85kg, hoping to get to 5.7kg. Helps to use tubs, my wheels are under 1kg, (39mm deep). The question is though, how aero is the SL8? I think not so much.

Proof that weight doesn't matter. No matter how light you make it you still arent gonna go pro speed.

But GC, I’ve been told that running discs are super heavy and you’re a corporate shill if you don’t run rim brakes!!
But seriously - I was shocked the savings in the cranks vs DA.
How much are the new wheels?
