Not even going to watch the vid but I do have a serious question why would anyone buy this frame instead of the sl8 pro, who makes it, who rides it where are they getting their R&D From ? 🙄
Great review GC Performance. Just one thing to clarify. For $3000 USD, it INCLUDES the Rapier bar (19 configurations) and the seatpost (0 or 15mm setback)
Looking forward to the build. I’m leaning towards this frame set as my first disc road bike. I’m diggin the twilight blue….probably go ultegra and craft wheels.
LOL the fit/thicc check in the mirror has me laughing, love your vids dude. Can't wait to see the build and hope you are getting some sleep with the new one at home... two kids myself and can't imagine a third now lol.
Hi GC Performance Lots of very cool components for your SEKA 😎 gunner be awesome when ready for the Florida roads . Great video as always 🚴♂️👍looking forward to seeing the final build 🙂
That build is close to my upcoming Spear build, although I'm using EXS Aerover bars. I love my berk Saddle. Groupset mix of new Red and Force D2. Will probably go bikone for the BB.
Seka Spear actual weight is almost exactly the same as Trek Madone Gen 8 actual weight. So not as light as advertised, but still competitive and presents a good value prop
You got to work on the baby belly. This is THE bike to do it. I would be seriously worried about banging the crank arms on stuff so do you have plans to put stuff protection on the ends?
No, this might be something I’m numb too, I know some people value things a little differently, like I’m very pristine with my truck or my electronics but I guess because I’m in the bike industry and have seen this stuff daily. I’m not to anal about it
@@hippiebits2071 from what i have the factory says 780gram but in my scale at home without any metal or bolt it weight 989gram i own exceed rdc. compare with my other bike from china like pardus their deviation only 30gram from web claim.
Honestly, been running on my tarmac sl8 for like 8 months now, I run a pretty aggressive front end and a high saddle height. So there is a big drop and I’m not flexible. It helps with the massive amount of rpms on a ride and my hips and legs don’t get fatigue as much. A little trade off for power for a sprint but for the whole other ride I really enjoy it. My knees aren’t going into my stomach as much either
@@GCPerformance18 actually I saw a very good explanation about how a shorter crank allows your muscles to operate in their strongest part of the contraction. You eliminate some of the fully stretched and fully shortened, where your muscles are at their weakest and you're concentrating on the part where they are the strongest, in between the extremes. I have a Shimano Ultegra 11 speed crank set with 170mm cranks. I'd like to try 160mm. Shimano's only go down to a 165mm and I can't just buy the arms. I need to get rings alone with them. Do you know of something that would work?
@@Dali6266 the Agile is an iteration, and it's a cool looking frame shape, but it hasn't gone through the windtunnel, it hasn't had the same quality focus. That's not to say it's not great value, but if you are comparing the two I assume you would be happy to spend the money on either.
really? I guess that makes sense, but why do companies make 3d printed titanium out front Garmin mounts instead of alloy and they are lighter, I dont get it
@@GCPerformance18 Because titanium is the strongest material in terms of weight to strength ratio. So for mount, you need less of material than if you make it in alu and it will be as sturdy and lighter. A brake mount, you can't cut down the amount of material except if they somehow make it hollow (like those titanium mech hanger). But I guess they are too nervous to do that. I always find it funny when people replace their bottle cage bolt (which are alu and lighter) by titanium one to "save weight". They actually add weight to their bike, a scale will prove this to you. People should only replace the steel screw (where strength is needed) by titanium.
It is impressive how cheap are the parts you try to sell to your customers!!!! 😂😂😂 Wow, you must have a bunch of billionaires as regulars in your bike shop! 😮😮😮 FANTASTIC!
I can't wait to see how your bike ends up :-), I have a Spear on order in the same colour way, and I was wondering about the Elilee crank as well (because of the 24mm option). One question: Is the interface between crank and chainring also the Easton standard (like the Cybrei?)
You'd have to be out of your mind to pay that much for a China frame. I don’t care if it comes with a 'lifetime' warranty-most of those brands likely won’t even be around in a few years, leaving you with a lifetime of headaches. Additionally, for the same price or just a bit more, you can buy a Western brand that offers a warranty backed by U.S. offices and support.
Very very excited for this project to come alive. And also to try out the berk saddle and the new crank. This bike should be Amazing
Im currently using the Elilee X320. And i am lovin it man.. super lightweight
That’s what I’m using
Also keen to see it! This thing looks so cool. Could be a nice Aero bike to replace my Cervelo r5

yes you are correct, I said that in the first video I was just mentioning the price for the bars in the first one
Where can you buy this frame?
@@duncancycles if you live in the USA through me
With my very quick maths on my broken calculator I'd say 6,73kgs without pedals/ mount and cages
Can't wait to see it Grant 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I cant wait!!! and thats a great calculator
Very nicely put together. Black on black looks so slick!! You are a natural born poster boy!!
Lets go, been looking forward to seeing it build up. One step closer. Going to grab a coffee

You should be the dealer so we in the US can order from you

if you need one lemme know I always can help along the way

Building a bike is addicting. I hope I can stop my further bike dreams... I have sl6 sworks. Rim brakes, manual shift red.
Are 28c tyres safe to use with an inner rim width of 28mm?
Love to see unboxing videos😬😍

coming out tomrorow
looking forward to the review and complete build! do you have a borescope camera to check the carbon layup and any excess epoxy inside the frame?
Looking forward to the final weight! That self admiration in the mirror though 😂😂😂
hahah thanks! I was feeling myself towards the end
20:03 oh there is for sure. I’m using one 3d printed titanium mount. 7grams
oh yea!!!
I’ll guess the bar is in the 3grad included
So in mine it was
yes it is
Superb paint job 👌
Total cost? Pushing 🫸 10k. Or you could buy a stock SL8 out of the and ride.
yea but wheres the fun in that

Spear. I love the look of the Agile too, but they are not in the same ballpark.
