- Ford offered the S550 GT500 in a total of 22 different colors for the 3 years the car was available. For those looking to own one I compiled a list of every single production color.

Very cool video showing all the colors. Mine is mischievous purple and I love it. It can look black, blue, or purple depending on the light. Reminds me of the mystichrome cobras.
One thing you are absolutely spot on about is the fact that, for some of these colors at least, you HAVE to see them in person to appreciate. There is not a single photo/video that I've seen that captures the "pop" of eruption green or mischievous purple.
As the owner of a Mischievous Purple GT500, it’s almost impossible to capture the colors it gives off. Unless the Sun or a good light source is shining on the car you’ll mostly see black or dark purple. But in the Sun it’s like a more subtle mystichrome. It can be blue and green from some angles, purple and red from others, and can even show some orange flake at specific angles.
Like mystichrome it’s the definition of a chameleon paint. It’s amazing in person.
Rapid Red is what i have but i love that Purple
Can’t believe race red was the fewest color built for a 3 year production color, it’s the best color with the white stripes its my favorite
My favorite is the blue with white stripes on the original 1966 Shelby Cobra. Little deeper blue with a metallic affect
Late to the GT500 party. Started looking in early February ‘23. I really wanted a Heritage Edition Golden Ticket. Good luck finding one now however for less than $150k. I broadened my search with must haves being CFTP. Colors are very subjective, and although I love the Heritage Edition color combo (painted stripe), I am by nature not a stripe man. Alas, I picked up a sub 1k mile ‘21 Grabber Yellow sans stripes w/CFTP. Never thought I would ever have a yellow car. But there is something in the contrast with the carbon and black bits. Very clean looking. Anyway, I enjoy your content!

Mischievous purple is definitely a car you need to see in person to fully appreciate. It’s actually multiple colors depending on the angle the light is hitting it. It can be blue one part of the day and red/purple or purple/orange in the sunset. Truly an astonishing paint choice by Ford.

Great video. Waiting for the final production numbers. Ford is always slow releasing them. I am guessing less than 15,000 total units. My GT500 is Rapid Red. Love the color. My wife's 2022 Mustang GT is Dark Matter Gray. I wish I could have found that color for the 500. That is my favorite color on these cars. It absorbs the colors around it and reflects them in the paint. We had a Race Red 350. Great color, but a little too flashy if you are trying to stay out of trouble.

Hey bro! I'm about to pick up a black on black 500 for only 3k over MSRP! I have a question though. Another dealer told me I should pick up one with a racing stripe because they'll actually be valued higher long term. Any truth to this?
It all comes down to personal preference. The painted stripes might hold value a little bit more but they’re gonna cost a lot more.
Hi i just picked my 2021 GT500 up last month and my car came with stripes on it from front to back but no side stripe does that men there painted stripes?
Not necessarily. The painted stripes go front and back with no breaks in them. The vinyl stripes stop just short of the end of each panel.
Do you have a GT350 video like this?
Not yet, that will take some more research but I’ll look into it.
