Hmm I just checked and I think you're right. I thought it was only used for shipping to protect the control deck since it doesn't look very transparent but I was finally able to get the protective films off both sides! Thanks!
Lol ok gotcha. Raiden is so big on cabinet and with different coloring I hate putting black screw caps in artwork. If they were only placed in solid black it would probably look ok.
You have a Mortal Kombat 2 Countercade? Sorry the graphics don't look good on yours. You attached the ribbon from control panel to monitor securely? Also check your graphics settings make sure scan lines are turned off. If both are good then maybe you have a defective pcba. You could take a picture of your graphics and write to Arcade1up about it.
Mortal Kombat 1 is completely broken and plays nothing like a real arcade machine or mame emulation. I have a review on my channel if anyone's interested

In all Arcades of the 80s and 90s we stood up to play Arcade Machines. Deluxe screen quality and size is nice. Also joystick and buttons don't feel cheap to me. I bought it on sale Black Friday for $365.

What upgrades can be done to this?
Depends on what you want done. Control deck, light up coin door and raspberry pi first come to mind. Mine is still original though, for now.

Go easy on the stick and buttons. I’ve had mine for a year and replaced the kick buttons and the 1p stick is noisy now.

@@RetroDayOfficial actually, I turned on the scanlines and it made the graphics better.
Glad it made the graphics better. On my Arcade1up when I turned on scan lines the picture quality was worse.
@@RetroDayOfficial that’s just weird. I’m still going to unplug and plug back in the wires to see if it helps.

Sorry to hear that how did it happen? You might be able to get another one from Arcade1up.
@@RetroDayOfficial I partially sat on it accidentally when putting the machine together. Its a small crack off to the side.
