I quit because the thought of dealing with this machine for the rest of my life was downright depressing. I'm trying other things like an adjustable bed, lifting my head. Looking into oral appliances and a neck brace to align my neck. There are other options.

There are other options indeed, however not as effective. Wishing you the best on your journey for great healthy sleep.
Please keep in mind, after I’ve set up 10’s of thousands over 30 years, many have felt as you do now. After keeping going with their cpap, many actually grow to love the cpap and never want to go without it.
Whatever you do please do it with the help of your doctor.
      Thanks for watching.

Hi. Thanks for the info. I just wanted to say from my personal experience, I started with the nasal pillows. I found that I had to wear the chin strap which also took a little getting used to. I was doing well and at about 5 months I wanted to see if I could get away from the chin strap by using tape. That was bad for me as I felt I couldn't drink or if I had to breathe through my mouth. So I tried the full face mask. I have to say that had started with the face mask, I probably would have quit immediately. I only used it for about 2 hours over two nights. I'm back on the nasal pillows and chin strap and that's fine for me. I just wanted to say this to those who might not be able to deal with the face mask.

I use a full face mask because I can’t breathe very well through my nose at night after an accident many years ago which required reconstructive surgery. I’ll be honest. I don’t think it’s that bad. The first week was horrible but after that first week and adding a humidifier and larger face mask it became really easy.

My score was an 11, I believe. I just want to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. It takes an hour or more to get back to sleep. The mask has made no difference. I have tried sleeping in a recliner and in bed. No difference.

Beware: most chin straps pull the jaw back, not up. No good. Only the very expensive ones that have a cap really pull the chin up.
