Man, I cant thank you enough for this video. I'm a trans guy starting t soon and one of my biggest concerns has been my singing voice, mainly the tone. I do musical theatre and am relatively versatile so the actual pitch range is something i can adapt to, but the tone was what I've been really worried about. All the other videos I've seen have been singing songs that are more "rock" leaning and a bit huskier, but your video is the first that came close to the tonal quality I'm hoping to maintain. Once again, thank you so much! This has calmed quite a few of my fears and while U am as nervous as anyone else would be on the brink of such a major change, now I'm much more confident in my ability to continue on in music and musical theatre. Good luck in life, Vincent!

I wish you guys the best of luck in your careers! Musical theater is the one place I feel comfortable with my gender/sexuality. Other than my breasts, I can pass as a short man, but my singing voice has a great range(I can sing the full tenor range, a bit if baritone, and when necessary I do soprano ) so if probably never going to take testosterone because I can’t see my life without singing by I can still live a fulfilling life with testosterone.
Anyway, I believe in you guys

Secondly, and for real.... "Only You" by Yaz instrumental for filler tunes....?! LOVE. I jaw dropped at the first 'doo dee doo doo' and then had to play the song after this vid. Most impressive. I’m late to watching this but as someone who was an alto 2 with a nice 3 octave range (D3-D6) and I was able to sing all 4 parts of my choir. Now I can’t even sing tenor, way too high. Sure I graduated but it would’ve been way too high. I can get a decent B1 on an okay day and an F#1 on a good day, idk my high notes but I can barely chest a C5 anymore, eh I’m happier singing low anyways. Anyways thanks for reading my ramble. Will be 10 months on T November 20th :) here’s to that. Cheers y’all.

I'm so happy this came onto my recommended! I'm not the best singer but i plan on starting a band with my friends, and i worried that when i started T my singing voice would be gone. Your voice is honestly so calming. This video helped me alot!

ehh... singing is a therapeutical practice for me more than anything n although it has no other use cuz i cant sing in front of anyone but myself n a few trusted friends but it's still very important to me and I hope I'll be able to sing like u after starting T.. I'm quite scared I'll never sing again..

Wow, your voice is beautiful! I have dysphoria about my pre t voice, since its so high, and I wonder if you were ever dysphoric, as well. But I just wanted to let you know that you have an amazing voice! You have the whole year round!

Thanks for this Video, I, myself, like to sing a lot and there are some Songs I think I cannot sing when T has started and there are many Songs I can't sing right now the way I want to, because of being pre T. I'm so excited how Things will work out. 8)
I think your voice has become really good and more confident.
Thanks again for posting your experience in singing :)
