Thanks for the video. How do these look after washing? I used this fusible fleece on prewashed quilting cotton, laundered on gentle in cold water, dried til nearly dry on low and removed before totally dry. They look terrible, the fused fabric is lumpy looking. I want to make nice placemats that look ok after laundering, too. Suggestions?
Some people pre-wash the fabric and the batting to help with shrinkage. I actually have never tried pre-washing the batting or fleece. So I can’t attest to that. You can use cotton batting, which is what I recommend. But, if you use batting, you will want to quilt the placemats. Another option is to use felt as your batting. Again, I recommend quilting the placemats.
