Donna Jordan of "Jordan's Fabrics" is awesome!! I love watching and even, sometimes, making her quilts!! lol Thank you for your wonderful tutorial, also!! Peace and blessings and have a wonderful and safe Happy New Year!! Vicki
Thanks, for your very "Easy Peasy"reversible placemats(they've made "very similar"like the "potholders")&the reversible napkins.(Can,I use any interfacing for the inside part of the placemats? Thanks, for your pressing down edge "tip"!
Will it wash ok if not quilted..my batting said quilt every 5 inches..I like mine without quilting too many colours in one side different in the otherside
Judy- I would suggest some simple straight line quilting just to hold the layers together. You don’t need a lot, but even just a few lines will keep it from shifting in the wash. 😊
Hi Vicki- I do not pre-wash the fabric. Once I have everything sewed together, then I wash, dry and press. There is minimal shrinking and the batting doesn’t shift because it’s quilted. 😊
What size are you cutting out for both the placemat and napkin? I watched the video 3 times and still didn’t hear you say the sizes 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
The measurements can be found below in the description box. Here are the measurements: Placemat Measurement: 14" X 20" Napkin Measurement: 15" X 15" I purchased 3 yards each of 4 different fabrics and was able to make a table runner, 8 napkins, 8 placemats and I still have some s scrap fabric left over for my next sewing or quilting project.

If I dont quilt it, will the batting go lumpy when I wash it?
Hi Joy- Yes it will. The beast thing to do would be to sew some straight lines to keep it from shifting.
Thank you !!
Do you prewash your Bosal? If not, won't it do some shrinkage when washed and dried??? Thank you in advance!! Vicki
Hi Vicki- I do not pre-wash the fabric. Once I have everything sewed together, then I wash, dry and press. There is minimal shrinking and the batting doesn’t shift because it’s quilted. 😊
@@TheCraftyAuthor Thank you for such a quick reply. I have never pre-washed Bosal and wondered if I was doing something wrong. Vicki
Do you guys pre-wash your fabric's. Im not seeing anyone say to do that.
Hi Tricia- No. I do not pre-wash my fabrics. 😊
Where did you buy the gobble til you wobble fabric? Love your video!
Hi Randi- I purchased that fabric at Joanns. 😊
What was the name of the batting you used?
What sort of interfaceing
Does it wash well without quilting it to hold the layers together?
Hi Gigi- Yes. It has washed great and there hasn’t been any shifting. 😊
Did you prewash your fabrics?
Hi Mary- I did not pre-wash my fabric for this particular project.
How thick is your batting? Like your video. Now I want to make placement using batting . Thanks for the video....I just discovered your website.
Hi Kathy! Welcome! I am using 100% cotton batting and it’s a little less than a 1/4” thick. 😊

I heard it
How do you keep the mat from getting so wrinkled when it is washed?
When I pull it out of the wash, I reshape it and then let it air dry. That usually does the trick. If not, then I run a warm iron over it.
