    Thank you very much for this fantastic video about Perazzi High Tech. I am writing to you from Barcelona, Spain. Just a few days ago I bought a Perazzi High Tech in Armeria Mur (Mollet del Vallés, Spain) and now I have to travel to the Perazzi factory in Italy to have my measurements taken in order to have a stock head for me. Your video has confirmed that I have made the right decision. Thank you very much again.

    Welcome to the P Gun Club! You did right! Been shooting one for 41 years! You can't go wrong. Oh and believe me I tried many others ... they were disappointment. And the reason why V springs are so much better is V spring picks up energy when it's released and that coil spring loses energy. That's why perazzi triggers are so great! Inertia triggers only way to go.

    • @kylemelcher894
      @kylemelcher894 5 лет назад +1

      Don’t they wear a little faster than coil springs though? I’ve found that rumor in many places online

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  5 лет назад +3

      V springs can be prone to cracking as they have a single bend which is stressed on compression, coil springs are less prone to this due to their geometry e.g. a helix. I need to disagree however as springs store potential by the deformation of an elastic object, regardless of the form, the energy is released when you allow the object to return to it's normal state. It is not possible to generate or gain energy during the release.

    • @timeverett7828
      @timeverett7828 5 лет назад +1

      Faster lock times...Advantage V Springs.

    • @timeverett7828
      @timeverett7828 5 лет назад +2

      @@kylemelcher894 you're right it's just a rumor. No truth to it. I've shot hundreds of thousands of rounds with v Springs never had one crack yet. But I've seen coil spring failures a bunch of times. Ask the best bespoke gunsmith you can find and they will tell you advantage V Springs every time.

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  5 лет назад +1

      So, I have spent some time thinking about this, then I did some research and I am sorry to say I can't find any source to verify or refute this. I even chatted with Bloke On The Range about this and we agree. Hooke's law F=kx and the derived formulae for calculating spring energy are clear and I cant see any verifiable data re spring rate based on spring form. The spring is acting on the hammer once released from it's deformed state, and the mass of the hammers remains constant. Even if the V spring generates more force I cant see this significantly impacting the acceleration of the hammer from it's resting state. That said as I say I cant find anywhere an actual analysis or proof of comparative lock times based on spring types in firearms. Tim, is your assertion based on actual testing? if so can we see the evidence?

I love this gun but I'm thinking about it i change. Perazzi high tech or K80. What you think? Worth it to switch? Can help in development when i buy expensive gun?

      Honestly if you are hitting 90% with an Invictus, changing will not make you hit any more. You can't buy points. If you want a K or P gun get one, but be aware that no gun is a magic wand to suddenly turn you into George Digweed.

    This must truly be a case of infatuation over logic! You're moving from a Krieghoff (Parcours? K-80 Sporting?) to a Perazzi High Tech which does not have three features commonly found on high-end sporting guns: an adjustable comb, barrel selector, and removable choke tubes. If I found myself in the market for a higher-end shotgun, the lack of those three features would stop me at Perazzi's door. I'm not arguing, Lloyd, because I have two friends who share a similar passion for Perazzi. I'm somewhat mystified, all I can say in closing is that the fit must be wonderful.
