Besides using the Slash & Spread method, there is another method to manipulate darts, the pivotal transfer technique. The pivotal transfer technique involves manipulating the original working pattern into a new shape by pivoting, shifting, and tracing.
In this video, I will take my one-dart sloper and move the waist dart and change it into a side bust dart by using the pivot method.

I saw your videos and I'm in love with you. I too have a passion for fashion. As a child, I would wait anxiously for Easter so I could dress up and I thought, why wait for Easter. Going shopping with my mom to pick out that hat with matching bag and Mary Jane shoes was definitely my drug of choice. Last night I went to the symphony with my chiffon dress, Swarovski crystal brooch, clutch bag with, again, matching shoes, I was complimented by the ushers and others. One lady came over to me to tell me she loved my look. I think I stand out because no one dress for the theater anymore. I saw jeans, hooded sweatshirts and sneakers, 'snatch my pearls'!!! I am 64 years of age and still have my girl ish figure so my a** be strolled like a peacock. Anyway, I'll stop here because I can go on forever. Oh, I am going to order your book because when I grow up, I want to be a fashion designer

I was wondering if you might consider a video or series on how to design and add sleeves? I know there are various kinds of flutter/circle sleeves, tulip, cap, multiple kinds of blouson sleeves, fitted sleeves, and so on. There seem to be precious few resources for how to learn to make these. I recently fell in love with a kind of chiffon tulip/flutter sleeve hybrid. Would love to add it to my wedding dress! It's an Autumn wedding, and the bodice pattern is sleeveless. I haven't been able to find a bodice with a neckline I like that also has the desired sleeves in question as a sewing pattern. I haven't the foggiest idea where to start draping and pinning this kind of sleeve.

How do you go about cutting out the excess of the dart?

I have a request for a future video. I'm a fan of cottons (with or without pretty prints) and jacquard woven fabrics. Could you show different types of weaves and materials and what to use them for? You've shown different silks but that's just too expensive in my region.
