He is singing to his mother in heaven. When someone understands what he is saying, they cry because they think of a loved one that has passed away. This song has been played many times at funerals. He is saying he wishes his mother's eyes would have never closed. And that her eyes would still be looking at him. And he wished he did more for her. She passed away in Acapulco and that was the sadest memory from Acapulco.

You should have done some research prior to listening to this song. Juan Gabriel had a very sad childhood, he was placed in an orphanage. This song is about his eternal love for his lost mom. Juan Gabriel gave a performance for the Latin Grammys that was so strong that none of the other performers wanted to follow after his performance ...one of the best Mexican singer ever
GOD took a day off to make Juan Gabriel. His voice commands every angels attention. An entire stadium knew the moment to chime in with chorus with out any directions.
He was singing the song on Mother's Day this song is about his mother. He came from a very poor family. He had other brothers and sisters but he was the only one that his mom took to a boarding school and after a while never came to visit him again none of his family came to visit him again so he grew up longing for his family especially his mother and he never understood why he was left there. Later on he left that place and went on his own and started his career in different places he did contact his mother they made amends but he always had that Longing To Be Loved by his family especially his mother. His father was abusive to him because he thought he was gay. He was very famous and was very giving and gave a lot of money to everyone he could specially children. This song is called eternal love it speaks about his mom now being gone because she passed away but that someday they'll be back together again it's a very lovely and beautiful sad song
Juan Gabriel was a well known international artist singer and song writer. Very famous in the Spanish countries world. He already pass away and left a big legacy in the industry. Well remembered, missed and loved by everyone. Amor Eterno is just one more of his classic outstanding performances in remembrance to his diseased mother in a mother's day show. He had a concert in the Aztec Stadium (Estadio Azteca) with over 100K people that attended.
Oh my goodness - Juan Gabriel is a master performer and singer. Please check out his song Hasta Que Te Conoci, same concert!! Put the english subtitles.....this song will always make me cry.
Yes, he did performed like that in all of his shows. On May 10, 2015, Juan Gabriel captivated the audience at the National Auditorium in Mexico City with an unprecedented spectacle. On a night destined to celebrate Mother’s Day, Juan Gabriel delivered a concert that defied all expectations, extending for 6 hours and 15 minutes, leaving everyone present speechless. Juan Gabriel was known as “El Divo de Juárez”, but people lovingly called him “Juanga”. He sadly died in 2016. Thank you for this video ❤
Never heard this guy...but I love Mexican music! I have a Mexican sister-in-law..( actually we all married foreigners except for one of us out of 5 lol). I like that you're choosing to react to all genres ,all flavors of music...that's what's going to grow your audience. You reacted to Linda Ronstadt a while ago. Please check out her work from her all Mexican album "CANCIONES DE MI PADRE"...She's great . I don't know what the songs lyrics were about but I saw the concert in NYC and went out and bought me a cassette, at the time, and just lived listening to it . Didn't need to know what she was saying...
The title means "eternal love." If you understood Spanish, listening to his songs would make you drink and cry. In an interview, he was asked if he was gay, to which he replied, "what you see is not to be asked." It is evident that he was gay, but he never came out publicly. He proposed to a woman named Isabel Pantoja, but she turned him down. I'm sure she knew he was not straight. He was also married and had several children.
I saw Juan Gabriel twice in concert. He was a great vocalist. This song was played at my mom’s funeral, and it made everyone cry even more. It’s a gut wrenching tribute to anyone who has lost their mom
Being half Mexican u should definitely get familiar with this music. It’s priceless and shows respect and love to the Latin community. U can learn Spanish listening to his music.
I would love for you to react to the song "Rise above this by Seether" It is about shaun morgan's (the singer) brother eugene who committed suicide and the song is just so beautiful.
Juan Gabriel was not only a legend in all Latin America but he also helped many other entertainers catapult to success and fame when they performed his songs. He was one of the greatest composers of all times.
I literally got goosebumps hearing this song, I have listened to Juan Gabriel my whole life, but never heard this one, and this interpretation just speaks to your soul. Eternal Love, the maternal love that is always with us. ❤
You really needed to have subtitles for this. I have watched it with English subtitles. Makes such a big difference. He is real singing from the heart about his mother. 💕💕💕
Mexican and learned a lot of Spanish listening and looking up lyrics to Spanish songs. Our language is so eloquent and beautiful when someone takes the time to learn it. This song got me through the hardest part of my grief of losing my mother almost 2 years ago.
Just that you know from 4:15 minute he improvise all those verses. Is the one thing he did, in his concerts he used to add verses to the songs, he could keep on and on and on. Just One of the greatest Singer. He was our Elton John. After my dad's passing I always cry listening to this song.
OMG!! I haven't heard Juan Gabriel for such a long time! I discovered his music in the late 80s when I was in Oaxaca, Mexico for a few months meeting the family of a guywith whom I was deeply in love! We were too young!! I did become pretty fluent! Anyway...l learned a lot of Spanish by watching cartoons with the little brother and listening to Juan Gabriel and other amazing Mexican singers. BTW, not all Rs are rolled (especially when I say them. 😂) The title is "Eternal Love" ❤ Más amor a tu y tu familia! ❤
Juan Gabriel was a singer, performer, writer beyond talented artist. When It came to him and Michael Jackson Miami played NO GAMES. This song hits hard now that Miami is gone. May they all rest in peace❤
I just dedicated this song to my mom two weeks ago for my birthday because she's been gone for over two years and she ALWAYS was the first person who would call me, wish me a happy birthday and give me her blessing. I miss her so much. 😭 💔

Juan Gabriel died recently, but he is one of the most important Latin American singers in the industry, not only for his wonderful performances but also for being one of the largest composers in the modern industry that we have ever had. He has written songs for the most famous singers of speaks Hispanic. You can put on the translator and read their songs in English.

Oh, Senor....you have opened up a huge can of worms with this one! The Great Juan Miguel! Now, if you'd like to see Mexico's versions of Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones, see "Luis Miguel - Usted - En Vivo Live En concierto" and "Marco Antonio Solís - Si No Te Hubieras Ido (En Vivo)." You can find the songs with English subtitles, but there are no subtitles on the live versions. It's just the two men serenading thousands of adoring, fainting women in the audience. Thanks to Luis Miguel, when I moved to Mexico for a short-term project I could say "You make me desperate, you kill me, you drive me crazy" before I could say, "Can you make those eggs over easy?"
Juan Gabriel is a legend , and I highly recommend you download his music . That performance was Amazing and about 2-3 decades ago. Juan Gabriel , Jan 7 1950- Aug 28 2016 RIP 🪦 TO A LEGEND.
Dedicated to all the mothers...specially for those whom are no longer with us (his mother). El Divo de Juarez Juan Gabriel. You might try Ruben Blades performing "Pedro Navajas" with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Orchestra. In the Billy Joel Piano Man reaction you guys were talking about the music from the 70s and 80s in NYC. Salsa music was basically born in NYC an the best salsa singers and groups were there in that era.
This was the concert of his life, there were some many people that did not want him to perform at Palacio de Bellas Artes (palace of fines arts) in Mexico City. So many even said that he was to feminine to perfect there, anyway Juan Gabriel is a LEGEND, you should react to Hasta Que Te Conocí also from that same concert.

You are the sadness of my eyes
Who cries in silence for your love
I look in the mirror and see my face
The time I have suffered for your goodbye
I force myself to forget the thought
Well, I'm always thinking about yesterday
I'd rather be asleep than awake
It hurts me so much that you are not here
As I would like, oh
that you lived
That your little eyes had never met
Never close and be looking at them
Eternal love
And unforgettable.
Sooner or later I will be with you
To continue loving each other
I have suffered a lot from your absence
From that day until today, I am not happy
And although my conscience is clear
I know I could have done more for you.
Dark loneliness I am living
The same loneliness of your grave, mom
And it is that you are, it is that you are the love that I have
The saddest memory of Acapulco
But as I would like, oh
that you lived
That your little eyes had never met
Never close and be looking at them…
Eternal love
And unforgettable
Sooner or later I will be with you
To continue loving each other
Eternal love
Eternal
Eternal love
Eternal
Eyes that have shed so many tears for sorrow
of pain
Of love of so many goodbyes and sorrows
Loneliness that's all I have now and your memories
That makes the anguish of living sadder, thinking about you as always.
Eyes that saw you so much and that have not seen you again
until today's sun sad to miss you so much
And from waiting for you so much since that goodbye
Loneliness, that's all I have now, and that's all I have now, and your memories
That makes the anguish of living sadder, thinking as always, forever, and always about you.

One of my favorite Juan Gabriel songs. You should listen with translated lyrics on your own time. It’s too deep not to understand. Great reaction
GOD took a day off to make Juan Gabriel. His voice commands every angels attention. An entire stadium knew the moment to chime in with chorus with out any directions.
Juan Gabriel is and forever will be a Superstar 🤩 in Mexico 🇲🇽
Juan Gabriel takes you on a journey of emotions and passion. He writes all of his music including music for other singers.
If you could only understand this song yes, you would cry......Nice to see you wondering into the Mariachi music. I am not from Mexico and I feel a great deal of admiration and respect for this type of music for it's beauty and great performers.
The next Juan Gabriel song you do has to be "Querida"
Black Pegasus listening to Juan Gabriel? I never thought in a million years I would see this. He is one of the greatest Mexican artist to ever do it. He is a LEGEND. This songs meant a lot to him because he wrote it after he lost his mother. He was a great singer/songwriter. If you get a chance, listen to Vicente Fernandez! He had a concert in the Aztec Stadium (Estadio Azteca) with over 100K people that attended.

He dedicated the song to all the mother’s . Epic
Rip Juan Gabriel was one of the best song writer in México
Yes, he did performed like that in all of his shows. On May 10, 2015, Juan Gabriel captivated the audience at the National Auditorium in Mexico City with an unprecedented spectacle.
On a night destined to celebrate Mother’s Day, Juan Gabriel delivered a concert that defied all expectations, extending for 6 hours and 15 minutes, leaving everyone present speechless. Juan Gabriel was known as “El Divo de Juárez”, but people lovingly called him “Juanga”. He sadly died in 2016.
Thank you for this video ❤
I get chills everytime i hear any song from juan gabriel he had such a majestic voice!!!!!!
HE WROTE OVER 1000 SONGS, ORCHESTRATED THE MARIACHIS AND ORCHESTRATED, DONATED HIS LYRICS AND SANG
Brotha…. Welcome to the Juan Gabriel rabbit hole. This dude did it all. Enjoy.
Well said ❤
😂 omg..I wish the Juan Gabriel rabbit hole actually existed ❤
The title means "eternal love." If you understood Spanish, listening to his songs would make you drink and cry. In an interview, he was asked if he was gay, to which he replied, "what you see is not to be asked." It is evident that he was gay, but he never came out publicly. He proposed to a woman named Isabel Pantoja, but she turned him down. I'm sure she knew he was not straight. He was also married and had several children.
As much as you can feel the music I’d so love to understand it …beautiful🤍🪽🏴
What makes Juangabriel special is he was not just a magnificent performer he was the songwriter too. Not very many can do thay.
Great job my brother for sharing our culture. I am tearing up the way you delivered and share the message. Thank u so much eternal love
He gave 3 to 4 hour concerts , one of the greatest in Mexico
I saw Juan Gabriel twice in concert. He was a great vocalist. This song was played at my mom’s funeral, and it made everyone cry even more. It’s a gut wrenching tribute to anyone who has lost their mom
Being half Mexican u should definitely get familiar with this music. It’s priceless and shows respect and love to the Latin community. U can learn Spanish listening to his music.
Being half Mexican and acting like a Caucasian anglo Saxon doesn't fit your looks!
No offense intended!
If you don’t cry with this song you are not human.
They have no soul
Unfortunately, he's deceased.
He's a legend!
Is not going to be another person, singer, compositor, and marvelous human being.
Rest in peace.
I would love for you to react to the song "Rise above this by Seether" It is about shaun morgan's (the singer) brother eugene who committed suicide and the song is just so beautiful.
Juan Grabiel Use to say “Lo que se ve no se pregunta.” Yes, he was a homosexual who was tremendously loved by women and men. A legend. ❤
Is there a book of Juan Gabriel quotes ❤❤❤
He is the God of popular mexican music
This whole concert in Bellas Artes is exceptional - you definitely should react to ASTA QUE TE CONOCI. It will blow you Away!
Juan Gabriel is the best singer ever from Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺
Everyone who knows what this song is about breaks down in tears when they hear this... it is unfortunately a very sad song. But so beautiful!!
This is absolutely gotta be the inspiration for the movie Coco 😊
😂) The title is "Eternal Love"
❤ Más amor a tu y tu familia! ❤
Juan Gabriel was a singer, performer, writer beyond talented artist. When It came to him and Michael Jackson Miami played NO GAMES. This song hits hard now that Miami is gone. May they all rest in peace❤
His life story is so sad. Yes it’s for his mom 🥹
Wow! Juan Gabriel one of the greatest!
I just dedicated this song to my mom two weeks ago for my birthday because she's been gone for over two years and she ALWAYS was the first person who would call me, wish me a happy birthday and give me her blessing. I miss her so much. 😭 💔
Sorry for your loss.
Juan Gabriel fue UNICO Toda su musica fue UN hitazo en Mexico, Latin America,España y aqui en USA. Todo un Artista en toda la extension de la palabra. Juan Gabriel por Siempre una Leyenda ❤
Every Mexican Funeral plays this song, and the tears flow no matter when you listen to it. 😭🤷🏻♀️😯😳😵💫🤦🏻♀️
This song is old but still brings me chills…Juan Gabriel …the best of all time!! Yes his deliverance his talent…many can not compare.
I was crying the entire song. It grips your heart and squeezes it. Can’t hold the tears from rolling down my face.
Yessssss!
Juan Gabriel is one of the few artist that had a beautiful voice soft but rough and has a lot of good songs wish you knew the words
You will cry it’s a beautiful song
Oh, Senor....you have opened up a huge can of worms with this one! The Great Juan Miguel! Now, if you'd like to see Mexico's versions of Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones, see "Luis Miguel - Usted - En Vivo Live En concierto" and "Marco Antonio Solís - Si No Te Hubieras Ido (En Vivo)." You can find the songs with English subtitles, but there are no subtitles on the live versions. It's just the two men serenading thousands of adoring, fainting women in the audience. Thanks to Luis Miguel, when I moved to Mexico for a short-term project I could say "You make me desperate, you kill me, you drive me crazy" before I could say, "Can you make those eggs over easy?"
oopss..the Great Juan Gabriel! lol
One of the best artists ever from Mexico.
I recommend “Hasta que te conocí” by Juan Gabriel ❤
Eternal Love for his Mother who has since passed... There's a sad story to their past relationship, but he loved her like no other!
Juan Gabriel is the GOAT. Simple as that
One of the best singer from Mexico. And that song is for his mother. .
Did your mom listen to Spanish music?
Our culture is different..we have many “Elvis” n this is one of them one of our mother’s favorite singers ,
This was the concert of his life, there were some many people that did not want him to perform at Palacio de Bellas Artes (palace of fines arts) in Mexico City. So many even said that he was to feminine to perfect there, anyway Juan Gabriel is a LEGEND, you should react to Hasta Que Te Conocí also from that same concert.
Juan gabriel is legend composer singer even actor one of the most biggest most famous of mexico and latin america!!!! ❤
Nice reaction thank you
You can’t react to this without knowing what he’s saying. It’s all about the lyrics and message. It cuts to the heart. You’re really missing out.
