There was a show where the survival premise was similar to that. Basically, the world broke down, no zombies, but just pure anarchy. You can have random events like crazy bandits raiding your barricaded building. Full of drama as well.

Elevators are designed to safely brake even if the main cable and all the backup cables snapped. Escalators though, those are apparently death traps.
All escalator deaths I seen were from countries where they never heard of maintenance.
Yeah, the problem is the top bit can break and you will get your foot stuck and just get pulled down into what is effectively a meat grinder, from what I remember at least, I'm not an engineer by any sense of the word.

7:23 In my 25 years on this planet, my experiences have taught me that you can't worry too much about what everyone else is thinking. I would sigh and say "Aw, I got chocolate on my pants" and then ask the lady if she could move so I could go was it off in the restroom. Or ask a flight attendant for a wet-wipe or something. You are most likely never going to see these people ever again, who cares if they think you shit the the front of your pants or not. Just be honest. 99% of the time that works and people will help you or at least give you a suggestion on what to do.

In case you didn't notice (or don't know how to fix), your audio levels are still not balanced. Kelsey is too quiet and the video too loud. You can fix this by recording her and the content in 2 seperate audio tracks. You then adjust the volume accordingly (make her louder, when she speaks whilst the video is running or decrease the video volume. Return to normal after that. Repeat.)

Trust your gut. If you feel like someone might come for you, stay the hell away from the shower. Seems to be the most common place For serious violence to go down at. I never saw anyone die or get shanked, but I knew some inmates who did. Almost always in the shower.
