A note on the crystal pepsi and food colours. Some company in Denmark set up an experiment where they coloured sausages in three different colours - red (which is the regular colour), blue and green. No one wanted to eat the blue and green ones. And the ones who did try them, said they tasted funny/weird. The twist was that the sausages were the same, just different colours.

I always enjoy these ideas of having a technology that “does something for you” will be a real benefit, because it’ll free you up to do something more productive. Actually, it’ll just make humans have one less skill so it’ll be that much harder to take care of yourself. Now I don’t know how to use a car to get someplace; I have to rely on the car to get me there.
And free up more time to do something productive? You know that drive is just going to turn into 15 more minutes to obsessively check Instagram to see how many likes your most recent post has… that’s where the entirety of many people’s already existing free time goes. 🤣

Will admit cannot help but find a whole host of problems with trying to do something like a virtual shop like that weird walmart thing, very much relies on someone being able to use VR in the first place. (Which is probably gonna fail pretty darn hard just because not everyone can use VR.) Dang stuff is expensive and you need a good source of income in order to use VR. And people only use it for fun stuff so trying to make some VR experience of going to a mall or whatever just wouldn't really work because I think people would just straight instead of using VR to do it, would actually go to an actual shop/store/mall or whatever. Because not everyone wants to friggin' be in VR all day and even if they did, they probably would never actually shop, with VR. And also going to a shop doesn't require friggin' INTERNET CONNECTION. Which I doubt this weird VR shop thing would work around so you would also have to be able to friggin' use the INTERNET while shopping with VR and so odds are when someone really needs to get food, drink... whatever all of a sudden if there's no way to just, go to a shop to do it IRL, if they tried to do it in VR they may end up in a situation where they actually can't bloody do it. And that's if they have it in the first place. Just feel like the whole thing is not only not gonna work but literally no-one would ever want to use it because shopping IRL is easier than trying to do it online.

The thing about the vr walmart thing is the sheer amount of brand deals they’d have to make to have these items in it.
Like, you have to give expressive permission about having certain things in games and stuff, and the people under those brands won’t see this as anything outside of a game or interactive application, so i don’t think they’d allow their products to be displayed in this unless they have some sort of branding deal woth whomever’s making the walmart vr thing.
I know if i had a brand that some company wants to put into their obscure game thing like this, i’d ask to make a deal for it.
And when you think on it, if this happens with a lot of brands, those guys making this are so screwed, cause of how many deals they’ll have to make and the cuts of the profit for them all.
There’s also the matter of how neach and obscure it all is.
Like, we can go physically, or have stuff delivered of your phone or computer, so it feels off to do it in a vr headset.
If you’re using your headset specifically for the walmart thing, you have to put the headset on and the hand controllers, turn the whole thing on, go through the menu to go to the application, then you’re essentially just going around a fake walmart like you’d be doing in real life. And i don’t know if they’d have a menu or a search bar, so you’re just wandering aimlessly as some digital voice is just clammoring in your ear.
And that’s the worst part for me, is the digital assistant, i don’t want someone around me that constantly tells me things i’m not interested.
Plus, i don’t like shopping with others cause i feel like they’re silently judging me, and this does not make it any better.
Over all, this seems unneccessary, conveluded, and a complete waste of company money.

They get the addsense from that and both the company gets to write that as a donation because they're a charity and TabForaCause gets the same write off and get to keep a certain amount for functional costs which they can increase for expansion.
    So:
    Ad
    -money from ad
    +money from tax write off

    -money donation
    +money from ad
    +money from tax write off
    -money operational cost
=/+money from -money donation to maintain and expand.

As for metaverse, tried it, it's quite clunky and honestly very bad quality. VRC has so many more functions and so much more advanced compared to metaverse it's stupid. An indie company having such a difference in quality with the biggest social media platform in the entire world.
