Well it's true in a way, but also wrong in a way. Access to weapons makes people far more likely to commit violence, that's just reality.

I'm not going to understand ever that law in US letting people own guns. their license for owning guns is lower than drinking like that make sense. you are letting people own guns. the very people who can get drunk and have unpredictable attitudes when intoxicated.
Governments the world over have all committed horrible acts against hundreds of millions people, not even counting casualties of War.
People have the Right to protect themselves, who is to say they shouldn’t have the best tools available to do so should the need arise?
