Naafiri one is really clean tho, but jax just lookes like his normal skin
yeah I don't always agree with Nicky's takes, but giving Naafiri the same score as that Jax skin is a bigger L than the GP skin
@@Tentoir Yeah, Naafiri's model looks sick and the effects are clean af. This skin is easily a 8/10 or more. It's everything right with Project.

Someone made the argument that Naafiri has far too smooth animations to fit being a robotic in anyway and I can see it.
The blades really do the heavy lifting on making her look cybernatical because the body portion of this skin could as well belong to a dragon skinline

If Naafiri's skin is supposed to be Blade Wolf , I don't get why they didn't turn Gangplank into Venom Snake. They literally both have prosthetic arms... such a missed opertunity.

Riot pls, just make non human champs have the project skin. Project maokai being a mostly wire based for his root effects.
Project Ornn, an "evil" machine that makes/upgrades the other projects. Etc.

All the wires and stuff sound like Maokai would be better suited for a Program skin
Gangplank could’ve been SOOO much better, in the project universe there’s groups of outlaws and resistances who are supposedly put together with scrap metal and their own parts so why not make gangplank one of those, it would tie with his base lore of being Outcasted from Bilgewater where he got his rusty prosthetic arm. Make it so he put himself together in the project skin with rusted and corroded metals, sharp jagged and barely glowing so he looks A LOT more intimidating and like he’s out for revenge to overtake the city that he lost

There is just no way Riot decides to make Project Gangplank and on the very next patch release High noon skins. Gangplank would fit that skin line so fucking well, idk why they didn't do it yet

As a huge metal gear rising fan, Project naafiri being a reference to blade wolf makes me so happy. now all we need is sett Armstrong and the holy trinity will be completed.

For a seconnd I thought Naafiri's was a return to the Praetorian skin line. Remember those? How could would it be for her voice to be all horrifying barks and boops.
Honestly such an underrated skinline imo the effects especially the voice lines are so different to what else is in the game very refreshing
I really wish that they went back to a “theme” for the PROJECT skinline like the older/initial releases i.e. OVERDRIVE, HUNTERS, and OUTSIDERS. And most of the characters actually fit the theme and now recently it just seems like they just choose champs from their ass that have nothing to do with each other and call it a day.
the tobias death sfx is very quickly becoming one of my new favorite sounds.

I do kind of like the Naafiri one, though i do wish they had gone with a different color. Shame that chromas dont really change particle effects, so even if you choose one of her better colors its still going to have her glowing red
To me she feels lacking in the cybernatic department... Like, there are the blades and then the rest just does not look like an exo-suit or like a robot.
They could really make a game mode where a skinlines universe in focus just like the Old riot.. starguardian with their city.. and project skins in their universe.. doesn't need to be pbe.. could be like a rumble royale of projects champ

Someone at the design team must've been taking their frustrations out of GP, cause hot dam did they do him dirty. Clat arm with a mechanical jaw and you would've have a killer look for GP. Hell switch the toy lasergun for something that looks like a magnum to serve as the cherry on top. Like seriously a cyborg pirate has so much potential.

You said that Project Pyke is one of the only good ones, and I will quietly contest you on that.
While its concept is wonderful and its voice over is lovely, I don't like the way it looks very much...
Also I think most of the SFX are ear splitting.

Nah, I think there's better options for Fiddle. Like plagueborn Fiddle or something like that. Similar to a zombie mutant theme but with more of a pestilence aspect to it. I mean Fiddle already walks like a zombie anyway.

And before saying- you can have the same character twice in a skinline, we have odessy Jinx and Star guardian jinx + Star Guardian Lux and Dark star Lux all at once. Imagine fiddle as Dark Star. W black hole. R galaxy. His combo will be beutiful, and he will be monstrous like Thresh.

The thing about Project skins nowadays is that it started as some Robocop shit, where humans were pretty much turned into cyborgs/androids and they had little to no human skin showing (only the mouth in many cases) but lately its just the champions in tec suits and thats it, Renekton WW and Mordekaiser were good ones cuz they were basically turned into machines.....
Maybe it is time to make Pretorian comeback and be the main "Future" skinline with a dystopic hint.
I still think they missed an opportunity to use the valorant spike as GP's barrels but man that skin is a tragedy
Naafiri looks so cool but it’s true the color is similar to her base skin. But that can be solved with a chroma if you’re bothered by it
I am so happy for PROJECT to return but my joy was short lived because one of my main fell victim to a mythic scam, i am talking for Yone one of the champions i try to collect everything at the best time possible and YOUR kind (the whales) ruined everything and it’s responsible for it’s creation and it’s success like the other mythic scams. THIS MEANS WAR

Never was a big fan of Project either. Which says a lot for me, because outside of League I am a DIEHARD fan of anything with high tech/cyberpunk/LED lights aesthetics. I am really curious how a Project Seraphine skin would turn out now, though...

I'm so glad someone else has agreed that the naafiri skin is just 'okay' at best. It being basically the exact same shade of red really just annoyed me and made it seem rather dull to me. No hate to people that like it though I'm just glad I'm not the only one that felt like it's whatever.
I main gp. I was convinced that after waiting for a new skin for so long, I will 100% buy whatever comes out. I'm not buying this skin lol, time to wait a few more years!

I think Pyke and Mord are definitely the best, and there are a lot of really weak ones, but I think there are enough right in the middle that make the skin line generally okay
I think Naafiri is exactly what I wanted personally. Jax is alright? Not fantastic but not horrible. And as a huge Gangplank player having to wait this long for such a borning skin feels terrible.
