I have trouble accepting that Edison embodies all presidents. Two words: Teddy. Roosevelt. There is NO WAY that Roosevelt and Edison would have gotten along due to Roosevelt’s politics on monopolism. That and Roosevelt was pretty much a badass warrior and hero before he was even president. Heck he survived getting shot mid-speech and still gave the speech despite his wounds. I don’t think Edison could embody a man with a legacy like Teddy’s. Just a nitpick there with Type Moon’s Edison. (TEDDY ROOSEVELT SERVANT PLEASE!) Keep up the great lore videos.
Celtic myth: curses woody...curses everywhere That aside, this singularity was one of my favorites with how large scale it felt. Seeing that frontline move around made it feel like there was progress/loss. It was a nice touch. 2nd aside: Geronimo best boi for this singularity. :D
Personally I enjoyed going through Amarica, but it does dispoint me that they used Celtic Vs Amarica when it could of been the revolutionary war which I would of found more interesting, you have to pair with the first president and fight off Servants from britain with help of Legendary "myths" from Amarica like Paul, Geronimo, Lobo,Billy, Maybe even a few that just had an impact on Amarica as a whole? Like JFK... The idea that Amarica doesn't have "Heros" is very odd putting Nightgale was a great choice but why not also have a few from the Age of trains? It's sad ngl...
they would need to change the ending though, i wouldn't like to see poor karna get shot in the back of the head while he fixed his chariot wheel while waiting for arjuna to wake up so they could have a fair fight.
@@josiahmahady2939 thats how it happened in the original lore, although I absolutely hate how they have portrayed Karna and Arjun in the Fate lore....their fight happened exactly how Fate tells you....although one thing that Fate didnt tell people is that Karna and Arjun fought each other two times in their lifetime...their first encounter was the Battle of Virat, where their fight would have almost ended the entire planet if it weren't for Bhishma interfering in the last moment and stopping both the sides from clashing their powerful weapons at the time.... The second encounter was the final encounter between both of them and this encounter happened before Karna's death, this encounter was the last time Karna and Arjun went all out against each other...both of them were at their absolute prime this time and their fight shook the entire battlefield of Kurukshetra.... The third round could never happen because this time Karna's curses finally acted against him and he was finally killed by Arjun's arrow....however in the original lore Arjun did not regret killing Karna in a shameless manner because the war was an unjust war in itself and lord Krishna who acted as Arjun's charioteer at the time instructed Arjun to relieve Karna of his duties of a warrior now that Karna's curses had made him virtually crippled.... once the arrow struck Karna, he thanked Arjun for finally ending his life and asked for forgiveness from Arjun for insulting his wife Draupadi.... as Karna was dying in Arjun's lap, tears came out of Arjun's eyes as they both bid farewell to each other.... now that they both knew that they were brothers all along...brother who fought each other to the death when they couldve been friends from the start.. The Pandavs might not have performed Karna's last rites but they did bow down to him at his death and respected him that day....

To be this good of a guy to literally give his own Armour to someone right before the battle man Karna is sure is one of the purest Servants out there.
I enjoyed this chapter but hated how there was a lack of real American servants. There should have been more so that we could see more exploration of the history of the fate world. For example Washington.
Edison being the embodiment of all American Presidents past & future was likely done specifically to avoid having to make various presidents into heroic spirits. Even putting politics aside, most of them wouldn't have much impact... besides Washington.
The reason for so few American servants is that America is part of the modern age of man and the further into it we get the less heroes are recorded to the throne. In fact the last to be recorded was the first man to walk on the moon.
It’s pretty obvious that Kinoko Nasu hates America. The servants design are a complete joke. Geronimo ,by far has to be the worst servant. As Fino says, “Geronimo is there for moral support.” Tesla’s design is a joke and Edison is lame ass lion. C’mon , none of these things represent America.

As a Native/Irish, the US as we know it wasn't stolen! It was bought however my ancestors did not have the same understanding of property rights as the Europeans did. So that turned to War, and let's be real let's be honest the Natives waged war on one another and Europeans, to act as if that's not how it happened is an injustice to history.
As a noob in 2017, it was at this singularity where I decided to commit to FGO long term. Both the writing quality and game challenge began ramping up over the previous orders (before going through the roof in Camelot and Babylonia). All of a sudden I couldn't simply sit back and rely on support Jalters to carry me through the boss fights. 8:46 = although it still bothers me how and why the Celts would be maintaining a prison in San Francisco Bay, behind enemy lines and unmolested by Edison's forces.

Correction on one detail: The men of Ulster were cursed to feel labor pains at a certain time of the year. Medb timed her invasion to take advantage of that. Cu was spared because he was 17 at the time and thus not considered a "man".

I spent the entire Singularity without a suitably good Saber class Servant. So THANK YOU NIGHTINGALE for being the difference. Also, Cu Alter literally could not touch my Cas Cu and Lance Cu with his NP. Every time, Cas and Lance went Protection From Arrows. It was only AFTER I finished that I got Rama and Nightingale from the summon pool. Like SERIOUSLY?! lol

This singularity was pretty cool, but it could have been MUCH better if they managed it as later singularities, taking themselves a bit more seriously. . Also, now I realized that Medb killed Cú, which is something so damn awful that I am surprised there's people out there sleeping well at night knowing she is their waifu.

i am new to fgo and the type that's lazy to read if it's not interesting to read, and because so many people ranks fgo story for the first 4 singularity isn't really good, it influence me to not read them, and by having you summarizing the story makes me excited to listen and digest it, ofc i wont get detailed information about the singularity but at least i can fill the missing pieces of puzzle whenever i reach singularity 5,6,7,solomon, thank you very much dai-kun

WOW, I cannot wait for you to do Losto belto and Epic of Remnant. These lore videos are absolutely amazing. I really like the epic scale of Camelot and Babylonia but I have to say that E Pluribus Rí is my favorite singularity. How Liz chan was so sad about Nero bride's death. The weird relationship between Cu and Medb, encapsulated by that image from the anime of both of them seeing a city on flames. Ritsuka asking Arjuna to join them and Arjuna saying "No but you can Trust me" and then coming back to finish off the Clan Calatin. The chapter named "Master, shielder, warrior, nurse" is incredible with both how perilous things look in the north and having to finish Cu Alter. Liz, Robin, Presi King, and Tesla working together and when everyone is tired and defeated, Nightingale using her noble phantasm to heal them. OMG, I am so fond of this chapter, this lore video, and all your work. I cannot wait for more!
Funny enough, it was around the time I reached the 5th singularity that I got many of my lancer servants such as Karna, Scathach, and a fully leveled OG Cu. Good times.

Hey since the singularity lore is on hiatus after this maybe you could do lore on some of the FGO events? The two events that instantly spring to mind would be of course Fate/Zero and Garden of Sinners. I would love a lore video that explains how they differ from the original material and how our involvement changed things.
A background to GUDAGUDA (Koha-Ace origins, Imperial Capital Holy Grail War and the 3 in-game events) would be helpful. I’d imagine that many recurring gags would fly over the heads of non manga readers.
Add GudaGuda, Summer events and Vengeful Demon Prison Tower. GudaGuda 1 was a memefest, 2 was a comedic version of Apocrypha while 3 and 4 took a serious turn. Summer events, despite being semi-joke events, actually have canonical explanations(atleast 1,2 and 3 does) with 3 being pretty serious in a way. Demon Prison Tower cause why not.
Funny enough I liked seeing li shuwen more than shishou in this story even with his limited appearance in America. Also was the first story I actually paid attention to truly as it was enjoyable enough

As someone who excelled in history class Fate is so amazing to play to see ehat they wanted to change on certain things plus the characters are all extremely loveable
Real nice vid, although a thing or two, I'm unsure thats how Goetia is said, but I'll admit since I dont know how it would be said either, big shrug on that. And the second thing, the reason Cu could fight against Medb's armies wasn't because he isn't from Ulster (In fact Cu is a direct descendant of the Ulsterian Royalty, being the grandson of one of the kings) but because the curse, not placed on Medb I might add, was very specific in that the army men wouldn't be able to defend the kingdom in it's hour of need. Cu was 17 at the time, and thus, technically not a man but still a boy. There's actually a pretty cruel moment where Cu Chulainn is disposed of for a short time, and the only ones able to defend the kingdom are the underaged army trainees... It does not go well, makes Cu go berserk, and is probably the moment at least this version of Medb falls for the bloodlusted side of Cu.

Honestly, thank you so much for these Fate/Grand singularity/story breakdowns. As somebody who could never get into the game, but is totally interested in the story, these are so fantastically put together and written.

Fun Fact: The curse on the Men of Ulster was due to the King of Ulster (either the reigning one at the time or a previous one) forcing the Goddess Macha (sp? Gaelic is weird) to run a foot race against horses while pregnant with twins. After winning the race, she got revenge by cursing the whole kingdom so the men would suffer from LABOR pains in their hour of need! Since this basically incapacitates them, I take it as a karmic vindication against misogyny! (HAH!) Also, I find Edison's form of a lion kind of poetic, considering that while they are called the "King of Beasts" and seen as symbols of power, real lions leave most of the hard work to the lionesses, and are only concerned with creating and protecting their own progeny. Seriously, during hunts the male lion stays back and guards the cubs. In a sense, just like Edison they profit off someone else's hard work.
You could write up the scripts for Camelot and Babylonia now then when everything is done you will only need to make slight edits to the scripts and the videos and it will be done. Also, while you are waiting you could do event lore videos not all of them just the more serious ones.
I normally love your vids, but was a little annoyed by the lack of accurate or in-depth information on Billy (as opposed to many others). Billy the Kid, aka William H. Bonney, aka Henry McCartey, worked for John Tunstall ( Ton-stall) as a regulator of his cattle following a few issues with the law. The Lincoln County War was far more complicated than just good vs bad as well, as Billy was opposed to the monopoly that led to the death of one of the few friends he had in Tunstall. He was the reason the corrupt monopoly in Lincoln, known as the Santa Fe Ring, collapsed. A corrupt dealing reaching all the way to the highest politics in the area. He was well educated and spoke multiple languages, including Gaelic, and was very well written. He's seen a hero of the west, because he chose to attempt to shatter what was a corrupt dealing by those in high financial standing.
Not going to lie, this was my least favorite chapter of Fate GO bar none. It just seemed to be focused on cramming as many servants as possible with no story cohesion or pacing. I liked the idea of an altered Cu (who's normally my favorite servant) taking over America but gosh darn I hated Edison, I hated the Rama plot cul-de-sac, and I just wasn't getting any fun out of the constant easy waves of Celt soldiers and Beholders. I was at about lv80 for my main servants at the time so even the combat wasn't doing anything for me. Like...it got me to stop playing Fate GO for about a year. Just dropped it. I started it up again two months ago and have to say what a breath of fresh air dropping it and forgetting about it was. Camelot and Babylonia were GREAT. I appreciate you summarizing the chapter because there was a great deal I missed and forgot, but still can't help but feel a bit sour in how I just didn't like a Singularity featuring a 5 star variant of my favorite servant.
Not only that but they cucked Geronimo badly. The man has the worst move set and it is undeserving for a prominent American legend. Even Paul has a better kit and she’s a joke.
I always try to get the og version of the alter servants to kick the ass of those fakers, 🤣 Cu Alter got the Gae Bulg 💪, also I enjoyed beating Beowulf and Fergus with Emiya
I liked this singularity but also disappointed. Like the presi-king thing is one of the most un-American things I've ever heard of. Also feels lacking in terms of American servants. Many U.S. historical figures would work well. Like Davy Crockett, Lois and Clark, Admiral Nimitz, General Douglas Mcarthur, FDR, Whashinton, and General/President Eisenhower. They would have been interesting.
I enjoy all the Fate singularities but I do wish they put more American hero's in we have some interesting characters that could be awesome in the Fate universe. Also I think them eliminating Washington would be a big change in history.

It’s pretty obvious that Kinoko Nasu hates America. The servants design are a complete joke. Geronimo ,by far has to be the worst servant. As Fino says, “Geronimo is there for moral support.” Tesla’s design is a joke and Edison is lame ass lion. C’mon , none of these things represent America.

As a noob in 2017, it was at this singularity where I decided to commit to FGO long term. Both the writing quality and game challenge began ramping up over the previous orders (before going through the roof in Camelot and Babylonia). All of a sudden I couldn't simply sit back and rely on support Jalters to carry me through the boss fights.

Correction on one detail: The men of Ulster were cursed to feel labor pains at a certain time of the year. Medb timed her invasion to take advantage of that. Cu was spared because he was 17 at the time and thus not considered a "man".
He mentioned that in the Medb lore video he did my guess is he didn't feel the need to restate it here as this was about the singularity and not Medb's lore

WOW, I cannot wait for you to do Losto belto and Epic of Remnant. These lore videos are absolutely amazing. I really like the epic scale of Camelot and Babylonia but I have to say that E Pluribus Rí is my favorite singularity. How Liz chan was so sad about Nero bride's death. The weird relationship between Cu and Medb, encapsulated by that image from the anime of both of them seeing a city on flames. Ritsuka asking Arjuna to join them and Arjuna saying "No but you can Trust me" and then coming back to finish off the Clan Calatin. The chapter named "Master, shielder, warrior, nurse" is incredible with both how perilous things look in the north and having to finish Cu Alter. Liz, Robin, Presi King, and Tesla working together and when everyone is tired and defeated, Nightingale using her noble phantasm to heal them. OMG, I am so fond of this chapter, this lore video, and all your work. I cannot wait for more!

Hey since the singularity lore is on hiatus after this maybe you could do lore on some of the FGO events? The two events that instantly spring to mind would be of course Fate/Zero and Garden of Sinners. I would love a lore video that explains how they differ from the original material and how our involvement changed things.
A background to GUDAGUDA (Koha-Ace origins, Imperial Capital Holy Grail War and the 3 in-game events) would be helpful. I’d imagine that many recurring gags would fly over the heads of non manga readers.
Add GudaGuda, Summer events and Vengeful Demon Prison Tower. GudaGuda 1 was a memefest, 2 was a comedic version of Apocrypha while 3 and 4 took a serious turn. Summer events, despite being semi-joke events, actually have canonical explanations(atleast 1,2 and 3 does) with 3 being pretty serious in a way. Demon Prison Tower cause why not.
Funny enough I liked seeing li shuwen more than shishou in this story even with his limited appearance in America.
Also was the first story I actually paid attention to truly as it was enjoyable enough

Real nice vid, although a thing or two, I'm unsure thats how Goetia is said, but I'll admit since I dont know how it would be said either, big shrug on that.
And the second thing, the reason Cu could fight against Medb's armies wasn't because he isn't from Ulster (In fact Cu is a direct descendant of the Ulsterian Royalty, being the grandson of one of the kings) but because the curse, not placed on Medb I might add, was very specific in that the army men wouldn't be able to defend the kingdom in it's hour of need. Cu was 17 at the time, and thus, technically not a man but still a boy. There's actually a pretty cruel moment where Cu Chulainn is disposed of for a short time, and the only ones able to defend the kingdom are the underaged army trainees... It does not go well, makes Cu go berserk, and is probably the moment at least this version of Medb falls for the bloodlusted side of Cu.

Fun Fact: The curse on the Men of Ulster was due to the King of Ulster (either the reigning one at the time or a previous one) forcing the Goddess Macha (sp? Gaelic is weird) to run a foot race against horses while pregnant with twins. After winning the race, she got revenge by cursing the whole kingdom so the men would suffer from LABOR pains in their hour of need! Since this basically incapacitates them, I take it as a karmic vindication against misogyny! (HAH!)
Also, I find Edison's form of a lion kind of poetic, considering that while they are called the "King of Beasts" and seen as symbols of power, real lions leave most of the hard work to the lionesses, and are only concerned with creating and protecting their own progeny. Seriously, during hunts the male lion stays back and guards the cubs. In a sense, just like Edison they profit off someone else's hard work.

I normally love your vids, but was a little annoyed by the lack of accurate or in-depth information on Billy (as opposed to many others). Billy the Kid, aka William H. Bonney, aka Henry McCartey, worked for John Tunstall ( Ton-stall) as a regulator of his cattle following a few issues with the law. The Lincoln County War was far more complicated than just good vs bad as well, as Billy was opposed to the monopoly that led to the death of one of the few friends he had in Tunstall. He was the reason the corrupt monopoly in Lincoln, known as the Santa Fe Ring, collapsed. A corrupt dealing reaching all the way to the highest politics in the area. He was well educated and spoke multiple languages, including Gaelic, and was very well written. He's seen a hero of the west, because he chose to attempt to shatter what was a corrupt dealing by those in high financial standing.

Not going to lie, this was my least favorite chapter of Fate GO bar none. It just seemed to be focused on cramming as many servants as possible with no story cohesion or pacing. I liked the idea of an altered Cu (who's normally my favorite servant) taking over America but gosh darn I hated Edison, I hated the Rama plot cul-de-sac, and I just wasn't getting any fun out of the constant easy waves of Celt soldiers and Beholders. I was at about lv80 for my main servants at the time so even the combat wasn't doing anything for me. Like...it got me to stop playing Fate GO for about a year. Just dropped it. I started it up again two months ago and have to say what a breath of fresh air dropping it and forgetting about it was. Camelot and Babylonia were GREAT. I appreciate you summarizing the chapter because there was a great deal I missed and forgot, but still can't help but feel a bit sour in how I just didn't like a Singularity featuring a 5 star variant of my favorite servant.
Not only that but they cucked Geronimo badly. The man has the worst move set and it is undeserving for a prominent American legend.
