Nah, it's same as always "the underdogs wins" cliché. In Fate Apocrypha Astolfo won the holy grail, despite she/he is weakest servant of all times. (Seriously in Apocrypha we have most powerful servant line-up; Mordred, Immortal Achilles, Sun God Karna, Vlad the Impalers... but no...)
@@mattheweagleton5515 Kiritsugu didn't won, he destroyed the grail thus nobody won and of course waver. Forget about the Fate Stay Night route, but unlimited blade works, Shiro also didn't win because once again Rin told Saber(again) to destroy the grail, and you call yourself ACTUAL Fate anime fan?
*On the topic of Servant Classes* The core reason behind the servants falling into distinct classes is because the Grail itself is not powerful enough to Summon a Heroic Spirit at it's full legendary power and must split it into a more limited role instead. This is why most Heroic Spirits don't have access to all their armaments or mythic equipment.
Cid Alderlaine Well it does a decent job summoning Gilga's huge arsenal. Do you happen to know if that's true for counter guardians, since they're summoned by the world and not the man maid grail?
Well, you said it yourself, none of the weapons in Gil's Arsenal are tied to him as a specific weapon associated with his legend (Aside from Ea of course) the arsenal itself *IS* his Noble Phantasm, he is still within the parameters of the Archer's Class. As for Counter Guardians, that's hard to say as we've yet to see any cases of it ourselves, the "Counter Guardians" we've seen thus far are summoned as Servants and seems to function within those limits.
Cake# I agree but I suppose the force is an old system that mages have learned to bypass and manipulate over time. I wish there was more info about what the counter force has actually done over the years. In Extra it summons heroes to fight a giant that ravages the planet. They show in UBW how Archer is sent to various timelines to assassinate people, but what about all the other human acts of warfare?
Evidently, all other acts of warfare hasn't been dangerous enough to cause the extinction of the entire human race. I'm guessing that, as long as it is within a large portion of Humanity's Will, the counterforce may not intervene on certain acts, such as some wars. Who can say?
Technically, Zouken is not preparing Sakura to be the next Matou mage, but to be the next vessel for him to occupy. The reason Matou have fallen as mages is due to Zouken effectively eating his own, hopping from body to body to keep himself alive. He is preparing Sakura to bear a child from Shinji, before taking her over. It's the same thing Zouken did for Shinji's mother.
I say its decent but it has way too many layman's terms in it to be called accurate. Let me give an example: It's like in elementary school that WW1 was caused by the assasnation of Arch Duke Ferdinan, but later you learn in high school it is more complicated than that, paraphrasing, it was actually the web of alliances of the world powers. The assignation is not necessarily wrong but it would do the world a favor to know waht actually happened, and I think te fandom would be be healthy having more accurate info than shitposting in a forum.
That scene with Gilgamesh, Iskandar, and Artoria was always something that resonated with me and I liked the interpretation of it here. Artoria didn't understand human emotion well because she was an idealistic kid that was forced to stop aging and take up the mantle of kingship. She believed her selflessness was best for her subjects but this viewpoint was brutally deconstructed with Lancelot, Guinevere, Morgan, and everyone else under her. The 4th Holy Grail War was a major kick in her jaw but she couldn't stay ignorant of the truth. In the end she was forced to destroy the only hope she had.
fate zero is legendary and what got me into the whole universe. 10/10 story, animation. ost, and characters Broskandar best bro and Artoria best girl and waifu
Enkidu is anti-divinity. It can ensnare anything with divine blood in an inescapable hold, hence why it's very effective against Hercules and Alexander, but against someone like Saber or even Shirou, it behaves like a normal chain. This is why Angelica, when she caught Gilgamesh with Enkidu, believe it would be impossible for him to escape. If it weren't for Enkidu's loyalty to its true master, that battle would have ended there. Reality Marbles are high magecraft, but not out of the reach of a well studied magus. Projecting a Reality Marble into your own body is, comparably, not difficult since your body is your temple and all that jazz. Kiritsugu altering his body's time is him using his Reality Marble on himself, and since he's not a very well practiced magus, it clearly isn't that hard. It's projecting a Reality Marble into the real world which presents a challenge. Since the real world will continuously try to destroy any projection of a Reality Marble, the cost to maintain such a thing takes exponentially greater amounts of mana, eventually leading to its collapse. Dead Apostle Ancestors are notable exceptions since they are supernatural beings with virtual fountains of mana, so they are able to create and maintain phenomena like Tatari.
Gaudy6523 I realize I'm not as knowledgeable on that stuff as a lot of people. I tried to keep things simple in this video but I might do more specific lore videos on each servant if demand is high.
Type Moon is a giant train wreck. Anything more than a cursory glance is the equivalent of falling down the rabbit's hole. Type Lunatics have been arguing over meaning and interpretation for years, and since Nasu never really intended for any of it to go this far, he never bothered to elaborate on any of his concepts. Effectively ensuring that this ride will never end...
That's a really nice job you did here. Nevertheless, you forgot to mention the mechanism behind the servant summoning : the Throne of Heroes. You talked about it a little bit but I think it's important to mention what's the difference between Arthuria and the other heroes (I'm not talking about the Counter-Guardian thing as such because I assume that you'll mention it in the 2nd part of the FSN Lore). Concerning Arthuria, she made a contract with the World, she's the only one servant which origin came directly from her background (i.e : the end of Camlaan battle). I'm sure you know it but all of the servants in the HGW came from the Throne of Heroes, as you stated, they're summoned in the HGW based on their legend. Arthuria is a little bit different. Her wish was to obtain the Grail, she made a contract with the World that, if she obtains the Grail she may become a Heroic Spirit. It means that she's not a "Heroic Spirit" because she directly come from her time. other Heroes summoned come from the Throne of Heroes but it's only a part of them which is summoned, the original stays "in the Throne" that's what's different with Arthuria, she is summoned directly from her past, the World is maintaining her alive to pursue her goal (obtaining the Grail) and THEN becoming a proper Heroic Spirit as she made a deal with the World. Once again, that was a real pleasure to watch your video, you have a really nice knowledge about the lore, I'm gonna watch the 2nd part asap ! (By the way sorry for my English, I'm not native :p)
Thanks for the detailed reply. I should have mentioned the throne more as well as Saber's special circumstances. However, I feel they left those details out of the anime because they didn't actually mean that much to the story. Even in the VN I thought it really dragged on when they explained Saber's relationship with the grail. Still, I'm glad you brought it up since it went over my head.
"Artoria can only be summoned as a saber" nevermind the fact that takeushi's crazy obsession made him create one version of her per class (except caster and ruler)
Good video, just one mistake I noticed that no one has commented on yet. Lancelot actually succeeded in rescuing Guinivere from her execution. He killed fellow knights Agravaine, Gareth, and Gawain’s other brother to do so. His regret over that is a major reason why Arondight is a demonic sword now. He took her back to France and she joined a nunnery in grief. I don’t know if he did too but I do know that it didn’t work out for them in the end because of their guilt.
I feel like I have reached enlightenment in regards to the nasuverse! I was a total noob when I watched the fate series (zero, SN, UBW) and didn’t know a whole lot about what i just watched. After finding this and listening to your explanation, I feel like everything just fell into place! Thank you for making such an in depth video! I am now a subscriber!!! Keep up the great work!!!
I really want to see an Anime depicting the Third Holy Grail War. That Angra Manyu is defeated early might be anti-climactic to a casual viewer. But we know it also involved Nazis a a Saber with an evil twin.
OtakuDaiKun I like how we now know from the Apocrypha anime that the Third's Lancer was Fionn. At least, I assume that he was in the SN timeline like he was in the Apo one, since the difference is in Ruler or Avenger being summoned and not the other Servants.
Omg thank you so much for covering the Gathering of Kings scene. I always found that scene interesting and how it calls into question what it means to lead and the power that comes with it. I’ve watched fate years ago, but once in a while I always come back to it to rewatch a random fight scene. But diving into the lore and scenes like that always make it just as interesting as the fights. Thank you for your work.
Here’s the thing saber was right about kingship to a extent because a king should sacrifice for his people but what she doesn’t understand is that it was the extremes she was willing to go to in terms of sacrifice and not understanding her own inner circle that did her in. Alexander was the closest to getting it right but his critical flaws were not pacing his expansion as well as becoming far too preoccupied with conquest to set up a a clear successor as well as train them. Archer was even further from the mark than saber because he barely gave a damn about his own people treating them like tools or curiosities to be disposed of once he grew bored of them.
I would just like to point out that you called Reality Marbles a type of Noble Phantasm, when that's not entirely accurate. A Reality Marble is generally defined as a form of magic possessed by very few magus, and it is considered abnormal for those other than Magus to possess them. Reality Marbles really only become Noble Phantasms if their user is a Heroic Spirit, and even then are not entirely considered as proper Noble Phantasms
Donovan Larsen Interesting. It's a tad tricky when they don't show any mages use reality marbles. The only shown ones are done by servants. I try to keep these lore videos simple enough that the semantics don't get anyone confused.
OtakuDaiKun Mostly from Notes, where the death of Gaia ends Earth's Supreme Reality Marble (which acted like a magic ozone layer) and leads to the extinction of normal humans. It's indirectly shown in Tsukihime too when Shiki pushes himself and temporarily cuts off the area around him from Earth's RM to weaken Arcueid.
Its both really. NPs have many different types and Reality Marble is one of them. When a Servant's Greatest legend isn't a weapon, spell, form of attack or ability but instead the sheer mark they left on the world during their life time. Those legends often take the form of a Reality Marble Nobel Phantasm and its as proper an NP as any other
You really need to read Prisma Illya 3rei then. It's far better of a story then most Nasuverse Fate stuff that is currently out. If the loli stuff bothers you that much you can rest assured the manga is far more toned down and focused on telling a fantastic story. It's also really dark...like Heaven's Feel and Zero levels of dark later on. I think that's one of the reasons I love Prisma Illya so much, because it has such a huge tonal change and that the more light hearted moments earlier on make the darker content have more impact.
The Fate wiki has improved so much. Back when you made this video, there was lots of information in the wiki but information was unorganized and even unconnected. Basically, you had to rely on the search engine which required specific terms. It was more time efficient watch youtube videos like yours. However some fans cleaned it up and improved wiki that its become very reliable
Nice idea and nice simple video(no need for the more nerdy stuff). One correction tho... -The Church and the Mage Association started cooperating by using a judge from the Church in the 3rd War because the 2nd one went to hell fast. Fate/Apocrypha gives us a few extra info on what happened in the 3rd war although it is just a n idea of what kind of Masters were in it.
I've yet to read Apocrypha but it's supposed to be a lot different from the original 3rd HGW since the Einzberns summoned Ruler instead of Avenger, isn't it?
Apocrypha's grail war is the fourth one, but yea, most of the differences are explained as a butterfly effect outwards from the Einzberns summoning Ruler instead in the third holy grail war. (Which is itself another breaking of the rules, since the GRAIL normally makes the choice to summon a Ruler, as it does in the Apocrypha war, actually, now that I think of it..
Gate of Babylon makes sense as described in the Visual Novel. All weapons of legend are essentially based on older legends re-adapted for newer times as the stories are retold and remolded. For example, Excalibur, the fabled medieval blade of king Arthur, is essentially the more modern version of Gram, the sword of Norse mythological hero Sigurd, who is very similar to Arthur to the point where the latter's legend was likely based on the former's story. Since Gilgamesh was the original Hero of Legend (His legend is the oldest from one of the oldest civilizations still remembered) and part of his legend is that he obtained and owned every treasure in the world at the time of his reign, his Noble Phantasm Gate of Babylon is essentially a vault that contains all of the "original" weapons of legend from which all other legendary weapons(and therefore all NPs based around weapons that aren't purely Conceptual Weapons) are based on.
Also, Enkidu's major perk is that it was made to capture the divine(specifically, it was meant to chain down Gilgamesh himself), so the more divinity the target has(The more divine blood they possess), the harder it is for them to break the chain. If a human or even a Servant with no divine ties were trapped by them, they would act as little more than chains made of earthly metal.
OtakuDaiKun She has an adult body(or big breast if you want to go that way) because in her timeline Lancer Artoria didnt have Excalibur nor Avalon, so instead of staying with the body of a 15 year old like the original Artoria through Avalon she grew older.
She eats so much in Japan because she came from a time where the food wasn't that delicious. Either way, Grand Order takes a lot of creative liberties. It's really all fanservice and if people want large Artorititties they can have 'em.
Thank you so much. I've been digging into the wikia like crazy both because I love Fate/Zero and because usually the Fate series leaves me entertained but confused. Now because of this video I finally have a good portion of my questions answered.
I think the Fate universe is kinda poorly written for not making things more clear from the get go, but doing all the research is genuinely fun so I actually prefer it.
It's only when he reaches the Finish Line does he truly understand the true nature of wish granting entities. That every wish has a cost greater than any benefits it offers. You could almost argue that that's the reason why every wish and Fairly OddParents goes wrong.
Amazing job, i love how easily and simply you put this to appeal to both newcomers and those already invested in this fantastic series. I am absolutely in love with the Fate series. You have earned a sub from me
While a bit different fate/Kaleid is excellent, I really enjoyed watching it. Ilya vs Alter Saber is one of the best fights in the series (possibly the best fight from the series).
I’d love to see an adaptation of the first 3 Wars the first setting stuff up the second war which was described as hell which would be pretty cool to see considering this was the war that caused all the rules and regulations to be put in place and the 3rd because it sets up a lot of stuff for the future of the grail wars
@@otakudaikun I feel like all three of those wars are crucial in their own right. While the fourth war is important for setting up Emiya's timeline, the first three need to be addressed for us to understand why the war is the way it is, and how the families came to be.
The Matous were sill called Makiri, when they invented the Grail system together with the Einzberns and the Tousakas, if I remember correctly. Zouken said so himself in the VN. Oh and maybe you should have mentioned the fact, that the strenght of the servant is bond to his fame. So the more known and famous a hero is, the stronger the servant is. That's why they summoned the "most known entity to humankind" and that would have been "all the evil in the world" Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman.
We desperately need ufotable to do a series on the third holy grail war. You have to be insane to not want to see one happen during world war 2. Not to mention how it was every bit as important if not more so in setting the stage for fate stay/night. It would be EPIC! Seriously that's the only part of the fate story that I've ever wanted to see animated. Ideally it would be given to gen urobuchi to make changes to (not a lot but there's always a few changes in adapting source material) the same way he helped to do the story for fate/zero.
Not sure about the Second war, but I feel that it would be important to get some more background on the first and third wars, as both were essential for Fate Zero.
So I have to say, the judgemental prude in me was turned off by the weird starting intro. But I'm really glad I kept watching. I was looking for a refresher since it had been so long since I had seen Fate Zero, and I wanted to watch the Unlimited Blade Works series. This was about 5 times better than I even hoped to find. Very comprehensive, and yet concise. Well played, man.
Must be said that: Artoria: killed by his/her offspring and completely failed as a king Gilgamesh: died of depression since couldn't accept enkidu's death (at least on some table is portrayed like that) Iskandar: built a great empire but eventually backstabbed Hundred persona: I don't think existed that thing Lancelot: cucked the king who was trusted by Gilles: "did nothing wrong" Diarmuid: cucked his lord, fionn, but eventually the old man forgiven 'em and accepted the couple and the fact that they loved each other (must be said that his wife fell in love with fionn before seeing his dot, hidden with a helm). But fionn turned to be really manipulative other than powerful. During a hunt session, diarmuid was attacked by a giant a boar and taken mortals wounds. Fionn had a tricky healing power: water that poured from a spring to his hands, could heal wounds, but fionn faked to not being able to keep the water in his hands, indirectly causing diarmuid death.
I thought assasin's multiple beings was to the fact that the title, name and mask was passed down, acting as the same person- and recognized as such. Therefore, when summoning assasin, it was more than one person. Kinda like summoning the Joker from Batman and having 3 jokers instead of one.
Oh yeah, I was referring only to Fate/Zero. There are more Assasins, of course. Heck, Heracles can be summoned as anything except Caster - which would include the assassin class.
Please know that, though many (including myself) have thrown our couple of cents, I assume some of us tip our hats to you for taking the time to make these videos. Looking forward to Heaven's Feel and Tsukihime Remake.
Thank you sir !!!!! 5 hours I spent on that type moon wiki and left only more confused than when I went in Bless you for this whole type moon lore series especially the fate stay night & extra ones
I finally did something today I should have done some time ago. I finally read Fate/Zero. I watched the anime a long time ago, and thoroughly enjoyed that, but there is an incomparable satisfaction to reading the book itself. Maybe now I can push past that damned prologue of Fate/stay night and actually read the whole story. Maybe now I can return to my own story that has lain neglected for over a year, a single chapter in length. I thank you for hearing these words. I am truly grateful that the story of Fate exists.
@@otakudaikun I’ve already gotten into it, and yeah, the illustrations of Caster and Ryuunosuke’s victims literally made me want to vomit. I want to summarize my thoughts on the major characters, but I can’t find the words. I’m still waiting for volume nine onwards. I have the first eight, and it seems like the rest haven’t yet been translated.
Few things: Arthuria can be Rider class, not Saber exclusive, also, classes have a class specific skill added to them, for example, Saber class get Magic Resistance while Archer class get Independent Actions. Some Characters personal skills and traits may alter or nullify these skills thou. Enkidu represents Gills forsaking gods. This gives it bonus strengths against gods or divine blessed people (like Hercules or Karna) so it would not be able to hold Berserker so easily as you say (it can hold him, but not with ease, since Berserkers brute force may be enough to break free.). Also Gills would usually too have a Gods Blessing skill, but because of his resentment of gods, he lost this skill. Kirei was killed by Kiritsugu in their battle, that's why he won the Grail, but Kirei was resurrected by the Grail, since no wish was granted. But it is quite interesting video, I thought you would speak more of the past 3 wars thou.
Crimson Entity I tried to be as informative as possible about the earlier wars. It's tough to gather actual facts about them. As for some of the other stuff, I'll have to make more videos as this one is mostly an overview.
I thought you would bring out the servants we know were there, especially the third war, you brought out Avenger and that's it, no assassin being mentioned nor saber and saber there had really interesting concept too. I just wished they would release at least some character info for the other wars, or some key points in stories.
Indeed. So long as those who watch understand that fiction is not reality and you cannot/should not repeat everything you see in fiction. To me it's just a personal preference.
Great video. I really love the Fate/ series too. Also screw Zouken. I dislike him so much that it's become tradition with a friend of mine to censor his name as Z****n.
*watches original fate* *wants more, starts searching* *sees that it has a metric fuck ton of adaptations, gives up* *4 years later can’t stop thinking about fate and the really nice animated teasers* *searches for a summary* *sees that it’s 33 minutes long gives up again* *reads the title... part 1* *cries*
The first Fate series I watched was the Saber route adaptation. However, it was UBW that truly got me into the franchise because Shiro and Archers battles on ideology of what it means to be a Hero of Justice
OtakuDaiKun So far 7/13 chapters have been translated and released with the most recent being released just last month. However mcjon is doing it by himself and progress is understandably very slow.
I don't know if anyone has said this but to summon berserker or assassin you need to purposefully summon them by changing the lines in the summoning and Gilgamesh's airship is in fate kaleidoscope and is awesome
Nice video! You forgot to mention Fate Strange Fake, Fate Prototype, Fate Prototype Sliver and blue fragment. Also Fate Kalied and Carnival Phantasm are not part of the Nasuverse. Fate Kalied follows through the Miyuverse.
OtakuDaiKun yes, indeed. Fate Extra CCC was suppose to be the last Fate Nasu had planned but then Fate Grand Order and Fate Extella happen. If we lucky we can get more Fate series animated in the near future. I am a hardcore fan of Type Moon. I enjoy their products and quite knowledgeable when it comes to the Nasuverse.
He be like "How all the pieces fit together and the canon as a whole" While most of us are just sitting here thinking "Its Fate, its all canon, don't question it" XD
probably said before, but Kotomine has bulletproof clothes, and his main magic is ironically healing magic - which he used to remove some of the worms from Sakura in Heavens Feel. I think all of Kotomines cqc feats are just his human strength and result of his training and experience as an Executor. He is just that much of a beast.
What would happened if Kiritsugu summoned Emiya Archer instead of Saber? I have a feeling they’re gonna get along pretty well since their methods are extremely similar
Angra's power relies on a massive amount of Prana but his human self has really low prana levels so he is weak. As a God, he is really low power but he is really terrifying because flooding his curses with prana he gained from his godhood strengthens his curses and making it last longer, which is really painful cuz every curse represent the evils of man.
Love this video Love all your videos I love fate/zero and fate/stay night unlimited blade works hands down one of the best anime ever Your doing a very good job thanks alot
The 3rd Grail War seems really important to the lore. And that left me wondering what would be the 'natural' way to learn about it had I not stumbled upon your video? Great video btw. I feel smarter somehow
Very little is actually shown or told about that war so don't worry too much. Fate Apocrypha gives us a closer look at how it could have gone down, minus Angra Mainyu.
This was actually quite fantastic! I'm very into the Fate series personally so I was quite excited when this popped up in my recommendations. Gives a lot of insight even to those who have been following the series for a long while. Also, I'm pretty sure Merlin turned Artoria into a man, instead of, uhh, you get it. xD
"As the hero drew it's sword the heroic knight asked the one that witch he protected "You there! Young man with the hazel eyes and blood red hair! Are you worthy of being my master?" As the knight's sword concealed by a unknown magic danced in the Warriors hands the boy replyed with a swing of his own blade and said with a crimson gaze "I am no master I am but a simple boy trying to survive but if you need me to be yes." As they slayed many of foes with their swords."
OtakuDaiKun a book my great great great grandfather wrote long ago around the time of King Arthur Pendragon though most of the writings have faded away to the sands of time this Pacific passage remains untouched by time for he served under the king of Knights describing him more like a mixture of fate/ prototype saber in appearance but fate/ zero in his way of life the sword Excalibur looked to him almost exactly like Caliburn for stay night and Caliburn was like Excalibur in appearance saying that both shunned like the son of god but Stinged like the daughter of satin that is something I wish to re-create so to speak as I personally find that the names of the Knights of The round table sound familiar as if in a past life I knew them......how strange.
"his most dangerous weapon is his origin bullets" weeell, I'm going to agree that it's A dangerous weapon, but I'ma say the most dangerous weapon is the miniaturised internalised bounded field that fucks with the way time affects his body, that also has the side effect of causing extreme damage upon deactivation due to the sudden disparity between the normal flow of time and the increase or decrease from time: alter.

10/10 story, animation. ost, and characters

Hands down the Fate series have the best animations I have ever seen. Favorite being Fate/Zero.
"People die when they are killed"
"Because you're correct doesn't mean you're right"

Because you're killed doesn't mean you're dead -Shirou Emiya 2004
Remember in one canon universe somewhere. There is 7 Artoria for each class fighting each other. It would literally be that Spider-Man meme.
Gaudy6523 As long as Artoria sticks around I really can't complain^^
Time Alter isn't a reality marble. It's just a bounded field.
@@kamataro14822 years late but Reality Marble's original translation is Innate Bounded Field
Your English is great.
"Artoria can only be summoned as a saber" nevermind the fact that takeushi's crazy obsession made him create one version of her per class (except caster and ruler)
Thosch Gold Do bear in mind this was prior to Grand Order.
OtakuDaiKun I see, my bad. I just like to make fun of takeushi's obsession for artoria
Two years later and there it is
Artoria ruler...Artoria Lancer-version in a white bunny suit
Type-moon sure knows how to make thinga interesting
Oh there is Ruler now.
Waiting for Caster so Arthur can fight against herself in a grail war with only her.
@@DanateDMC Where's the Holy Artoria War, Nasu?
JaredMithrandir I'd like to see it if only to put concrete visuals to Nasu's vague writing.
OtakuDaiKun I like how we now know from the Apocrypha anime that the Third's Lancer was Fionn. At least, I assume that he was in the SN timeline like he was in the Apo one, since the difference is in Ruler or Avenger being summoned and not the other Servants.
I must've missed where they said that about Fionn?
You could see him behind Darnic in a flashback in the anime: i.imgur.com/Nkdysvg.jpg
Demons and some Vampires also use Reality Marbles. And technically, Earth is one really huge Reality Marble generated by Gaia.
MoreEvilThanYahweh That makes a lot of sense. Is that from Tsukihime?
Those legends often take the form of a Reality Marble Nobel Phantasm and its as proper an NP as any other
This was one of the best anime/manga review/summary I have ever seen! Keep up the good work!
mate, pretty sure Fate Kaleid is legendary
I don't think it's as solid as other entries in the series. That's just my opinion. That said, I do understand its appeal for those who love it.
@otakuDaiKun Could you revise that with the new Movie? It really contextualizes a LOT of the calmer slice of life scenes and gives them real meaning.
@@otakudaikun in mean nicht mehr t everyome loves magical. girls and lesbian lolis

Apocrypha's pretty cool. I really like Saber of Red.
+DaiKun YESSSS!!! Mordred is absolutely brilliant, I hope the anime does her justice.
OtakuDaiKun same here, I also like mordred
I never thought that adding futanari into a story would actually be interesting.
2000Redred I find it funny that they don't show this in any canon works. It must be a developers interview or something.
Man I love type moon but it feels like home work sometimes
jwadd01 Yeah. I appreciate it more when I consider the emotional and situational drama more than all the rules and jargon.
Omg, the Fate series is slowly sucking me in. ALL THIS PARALLEL UNIVERSE AND CROSSOVERS AHHHH. *UMU INTENSIFIES*
11:59 " …always summoned under the same class…"
slowly turn head towards FGO…
FGO breaks a lot of rules. Is there a reason Artoria lancer has bigger boobs? Thankfully I was only focusing on the main trilogy.
OtakuDaiKun She has an adult body(or big breast if you want to go that way) because in her timeline Lancer Artoria didnt have Excalibur nor Avalon, so instead of staying with the body of a 15 year old like the original Artoria through Avalon she grew older.
Angel Palmar Oh yeah. Figures she'd be destined to get a huge rack.
OtakuDaiKun All the foods that she eats needs to go somewhere
She eats so much in Japan because she came from a time where the food wasn't that delicious. Either way, Grand Order takes a lot of creative liberties. It's really all fanservice and if people want large Artorititties they can have 'em.
Thank you so much. I've been digging into the wikia like crazy both because I love Fate/Zero and because usually the Fate series leaves me entertained but confused. Now because of this video I finally have a good portion of my questions answered.
I think the Fate universe is kinda poorly written for not making things more clear from the get go, but doing all the research is genuinely fun so I actually prefer it.
I would honestly say that the original FSN anime adaptation should be recommended as 'Flawed, but good'.
Aw I still love it tho.
You have earned a sub from me
Irisviel Von Einzbern That sure brightens my day^^

I’d love to see an adaptation of the first 3 Wars the first setting stuff up the second war which was described as hell which would be pretty cool to see considering this was the war that caused all the rules and regulations to be put in place and the 3rd because it sets up a lot of stuff for the future of the grail wars
Space Penguins For all the spinoff Fate has its surprising these events aren't fully fleshed out.
@@otakudaikun I feel like all three of those wars are crucial in their own right. While the fourth war is important for setting up Emiya's timeline, the first three need to be addressed for us to understand why the war is the way it is, and how the families came to be.
Okay, for that "I love goooooold" line alone you've earned my like.
Alexander Blom That was fun to make. Gilga is a silly villain.
That's why they summoned the "most known entity to humankind" and that would have been "all the evil in the world" Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman.
the heaven's feel movie is confirmed to come out September 30th
Kaz Packs I heard that was a rumor but if so that's cool^^

One thing to point out, kiritsugu has no problems with Artoria being female. They just clash over ideals.
Wow! I just couldn't skip the video. Such wonderful narrative. Bravo!
Also, from what I've heard, the third war explains a lot of the Tohsaka lineage and the Epilogue of UBW.
Gilga: I love goooold!
Me: Motherfuck..that's hilarious!
RabuneHinoStudios Gintoki: I love goooooollllddd more!
I'm a fate noob so thank you so much for laying it down for me. It's really overwhelming! Thank you~
Must be said that:
Artoria: killed by his/her offspring and completely failed as a king
Gilgamesh: died of depression since couldn't accept enkidu's death (at least on some table is portrayed like that)
Iskandar: built a great empire but eventually backstabbed
Hundred persona: I don't think existed that thing
Lancelot: cucked the king who was trusted by
Gilles: "did nothing wrong"
Diarmuid: cucked his lord, fionn, but eventually the old man forgiven 'em and accepted the couple and the fact that they loved each other (must be said that his wife fell in love with fionn before seeing his dot, hidden with a helm).

Sasquatch Studios I’d like to think Fate, while complex, makes more sense than KH.
So am I the only one watching this because I want to learn more about Fate? Cause everyone seems to know already XD
Nope, there are fans of all levels.
I thought assasin's multiple beings was to the fact that the title, name and mask was passed down, acting as the same person- and recognized as such. Therefore, when summoning assasin, it was more than one person. Kinda like summoning the Joker from Batman and having 3 jokers instead of one.
J. Andreas Molina I've heard both. I think your explanation is correct but I'd need to verify it.
J. Andreas Molina usually you summon hassan sabbah as your go to Assassin, there are other Assassin servants however.
J. Andreas Molina Just want to point out that Haracles can be summoned as Caster, but not as Assassin.
Thank you sir !!!!!

Bless you for this whole type moon lore series especially the fate stay night & extra ones
Where you get that command seal background video like crystal 4:00 ?
It's from the episode previews of Fate Zero.
Next you can check out the manga. It's definitely the darkest one.
Few things:
Arthuria can be Rider class, not Saber exclusive, also, classes have a class specific skill added to them, for example, Saber class get Magic Resistance while Archer class get Independent Actions.
Crimson Entity I don't actually know who was in that war because I haven't read Apocrypha. I'd love to know though.
Note: she can be a lancer too

Poor Lancer... Talk about a cruel hand of fate. Speaking of fate, A king should never have any regrets is one way to look at being a ruler.
the new fate/killed session is awesome and I think 2006 fate/stay night is better but it's just because illya isn't killed keep making good videos
Does Illya die in Prisma Illya? Seems hardcore for a loli yuri series.
OtakuDaiKun hold on are calling me strange dude but give the new season a try it's really funny and the fights are awesome hope you try it
Not at all. I'd be so into Prisma Illya if the girls were older than 10 years old.
OtakuDaiKun ah I just think its anime and roll with it but everyones different

+Takoa160 I agree he's despicable. I don't think he's as evil as Ryuunosuke but he's just so creepy.

probably said before, but Kotomine has bulletproof clothes, and his main magic is ironically healing magic - which he used to remove some of the worms from Sakura in Heavens Feel.
I think all of Kotomines cqc feats are just his human strength and result of his training and experience as an Executor. He is just that much of a beast.

Love this video
Love all your videos
I love fate/zero and fate/stay night unlimited blade works hands down one of the best anime ever
Your doing a very good job thanks alot
The 3rd Grail War seems really important to the lore. And that left me wondering what would be the 'natural' way to learn about it had I not stumbled upon your video? Great video btw. I feel smarter somehow
Very little is actually shown or told about that war so don't worry too much. Fate Apocrypha gives us a closer look at how it could have gone down, minus Angra Mainyu.
I just realized something. Kiritsugu has essentially the same ideology as Spock: the few over the many.
moviedude XD That moral philosophy is called utilitarianism and I've got a video planned for it. ^^
This was actually quite fantastic! I'm very into the Fate series personally so I was quite excited when this popped up in my recommendations. Gives a lot of insight even to those who have been following the series for a long while.
Also, I'm pretty sure Merlin turned Artoria into a man, instead of, uhh, you get it. xD
SirWeyloran I wouldn't mind a single concept art of Artoria in that form if only for clarity.
OtakuDaiKun well I just imagine Arthur prototype when I think about Artoria as a man.
SirWeyloran I'd prefer the futa. Proto Saber has his own personality.
OtakuDaiKun haha I just meant looks wise, even with the personality difference I still prefer the man over the futa xD
you, sir, just earned my sub
I'm honored^^
I hope that we one day get an anime telling the story's of the first 3 Grail wars (4 if you count the alternate apocrypha timeline)
Space Penguins I would love that. It's a bit too epic to leave as exposition.
Lost Horizon This is neat. What's it from?
I am now suffering of something called fate fever and this video just made me more feverish

If you haven't seen carnival phantasm then that might help tremendously.
OtakuDaiKun already seen it but back then I was not suffering fate fever but now I just rewatched them thus the fever became nasuverse syndrome
