I think it is perfectly acceptable to film bootlegs and post them online (even if it is illegal), especially after a show closes or there is a change in cast.
I saw this at the Kennedy Center and was blown away by the performance. Absolutely flawless. Roger Bart is still my favorite actor. - Also, I bought the "What Hump?" backpack after the show. ^-^
I have to say, even though it's completely disrespectful to record a video of a theatrical production like this, I really must say thank you. Roger Bart! Sutton Foster! Christopher Fitzgerald! Megan Mullally! I could cry from how great this cast is. I wish I had gotten a chance to actually see them.
@GrandFenwyck I disagree and think that's a bit too radical. It's not like Broadway shows are gonna stop selling tickets because of recordings. The people who really want and can see a show on theater will, with or without the video. But there are THOUSANDS of people out there who doesn't have the same opportunity, because they're in other countries, or can't afford tickets or even only discovered the show after it closed. Now, if you think you are more deserving of the show than these people just because you have money or a privileged geographic localization, then that's... selfish and elitist, at minimum. Musical theater is a bliss; shows like this change people's lives. I am absolutely in favor of whatever gets the greater number of people in contact with this joy.
I don't think is wrong to record theatrical shows as long as the don't sell official DVD/blu rays of their work. I'm from Rome, Italy. As such I don't have the possibility to come in NYC often. These recordings are the only way I have to enjoy these shows. Every musical lover from all around the world can enjoy them. Furthermore these shows will be enjoyed far longer than their original stage runs and will remain as a source of knoledge for the re-runs and foreign versions.
The way that The Producers had so many lines from previous Mel Brooks movies, I was expecting something similar in this opening scene. Villager: But Inspector Kemp, ze baron is dead! And HE was the last of the Frankensteins. Kemp: No! Villager: 'No??' Kemp: Nein. Villager: That's what 'no' means. *lol*
Hello people. This is my channel but I forgot my login and can't get back on. If you have questions about this show reply under here and I'll be happy to help.
@welshdancer1 I hope SHREK won't close! I saw it on Bway twice and on tour once, and it didn't, nor doesn't deserve to be a flop! Best of luck to those in the west end!
Kind of a crappy camer job if you ask me.... My school did this for the winter musical, I think the school did a better job but they were REALLY good, I like the live performance better than the movie

+PianoDisneygal10 If it is illegal, how the fuck is it acceptable?
ethical and legal are not always the same thing
I had the great luck to see this show and fell in DEEP LOVE with it.

I am watching this video to decide if I want to see our community theater performance of this show next month.
the scientist in this play was Roger Bart. not A J. Holmes

the one with AJ Holmes is way better, when it comes to singing and acting and awesomeness.
is this the one with AJ Holmes?
... isn't this that one?
please please please find a way to post Hamilton again
Wait, this is the actual original Broadway show?

I love Igor
NO MORE FRANKENSTEIN!!!
... Never mind. sorry...
It’s too bad that the music in this show is so generic and flavorless compared to the producers
