    You are so amazing. Thank you! I have a different Style Arc jacket (Adelaide) and have been so intimidated with so few instructions in the pattern. This clears so much up. I am so glad you are on RUclips! Wishing you all the best!

    I was taught in tailoring school to hand stitch the hem/lining by hand. Just fold under and stitch by hand. Same goes for bottom hem around the jacket. Nice pattern

    Thank you for this very clear and detailed video. I love Style Arc patterns, but the instruction's are usually very minimal, sometimes leaving me confused.

      Yes, I wonder why they don't have the same detailed instructions that other indie patterns provide. Burda is similar -- a bit light on direction. Glad this was helpful for you 🙂

    Did you lengthen the jacket? I made one a few months ago and it is shorter than yours. If you did, by how much?

    • @Sew-Happy
      @Sew-Happy  Год назад +1

      Hi -- I did not add any length. Perhaps my torso is shorter than yours? But you could always add a couple inches to your preference, and add the same amount to your lining, so you have the same hem difference when attaching the lining at the end.

    Great video, as the instructions were not helpful, due to no illustrations. Thanks.

    I'm still a bit confused with the tucks onto the facing because my lining is the same length as the interfacing piece. Looking at your video, the lining looks longer hence the tuck. Or are they both 'tucked'? Thought I had it nailed until I started putting it all together 😮😂

    • @Sew-Happy
      @Sew-Happy  5 месяцев назад

      The lining and the facing are the same length - the main jacket length extends beyond the lining in order to create the resulting lining tuck.

    • @artyinkyfingers
      @artyinkyfingers 4 месяца назад

      @@Sew-Happy Sorry, still confused. I know the main jacket is longer than the front that's not an issue. It's the corner of where the lining is sewn to the facing. In the video the lady tucks the lining and shows she pins it to the facing then stitches it all the way around with another tuck on the opposite end. You say the facing pieces are the same length as the lining, yes they are BEFORE making the tuck in the lining but not afterwards. If I tuck up my lining at both ends as shown in the video then my jacket edges around the facings and neck are much longer than my tucked lining. This is the first time I've made a jacket (apart from a pyjama jacket and that was totally different) and I fully understand the turning process etc but this tuck for some reason has completely baffled me because I end up with shorter lining than the facings and neck edges and the lady doesn't.
