    Thanks for the tutorial! Super helpful. My stock fuel pump is dying after 230,000 miles. I just ordered the stock replacement pump module on modern performance's website and will be replacing mine this weekend.

      ​@@Mattsneedforspeed I know! I love the car. I'm hoping to hit 300k. I daily-drive it year-round with 95% highway miles. Still hangs with newer cars like the Focus RS, WRX STi, and Mustang GT's.

    Awesome video thank u.my fuel pump is fine but the sensor 2 the gas guage in car does not work.can u tell me wt need 2 replace or how I can fix that?

      Traxxas Xmaxx modern or dcr has the sensor and you can just pin out the plug or a sending unit from a regular neon will work also

    My neon i had good luck taking pump out without dropping tank

      It can be done if it’s empty on fuel and/or u just jack up the right side of the car just easier to drop the tank …

    I have not started my srt in a few years. Put some fogging oil in the cylinders. Changed the oil. Cranks fine but didn't start . Figured I'd drain the gas thinking 6 year old gas is bad.. I pulled the fuel line off the rail. I jumped the connectors in the fuse box no fuel comes out. With car off and no jumper relay out I get 14v across the terminals. Reconnected fuel line cranked it, no start, un hooked fuel line at fuel rail. No gas sprayed out. So pretty much sounds like new fuel pump time? Does that sound correct or should i check something else? Never worked on cars before but fix other multi million dollar equipment.

      drop the tank plan to replace the entire pump assembly pull the injectors clean with wd40 might need new o-rings would be best to replace injectors or have cleaned but will flush threw just might be rough to get it started at first but will smooth out. clean out the fuel rail and flush the fuel line out drain and clean the tank a fue cans of brake cleaner will work hope to hear its up and running soon

      @Mattsneedforspeed So don't just replace the fuel pump motor ie. 255 motor + filter from modem performance etc like the one in this video? Replace the whole white plastic assembly, plastic body and all that? Makes sense to flush all the lines and fuel rail and clean the tank. I saw the video where you had super cleaned the tank like you described(orange car silver booma rail). I'll see if cleaning the injectors gets it going but if needed looks like they may need to be replaced. Thanks for all the advice you definitely know from experience. Looks like I have plenty of work ahead. I love this car it was the first new car I ever got brand new. Still have the window sticker. It only got mopar stage 2 intake and exhaust. Arizona car so no rust garage kept, 58k miles. Time for resurrection.

      ​@Mattsneedforspeed I got it running today. Thank you so much. Hasnt been stsrted in 8 years. My fuel filter had turned into what looked like what you would find in the bottom of a bag of chex mix. It was really fun cleaning the gas tank but I got all the varnish and chex mix out. Got brand new pump assembly and put the 255 in it.Flushed the fuel rail and fuel line with a can of carb cleaner. I got a fuel injector cleaning kit for 25 bucks. All injectors had varnish like residue but cleaned up well. One stubborn injector wouldn't work. I ordered a new set but then the stubborn one started working. Injector o rings were surprisingly good. Going to change transmission fluid tomorrow and take it for a cautious drive and see how the transmission feels. Thanks again man couldn't have done it without your advice.

    Changed my pump last week. Now cars feels like it's running out of gas if I don't have almost a half tank. And it feels like it's running out of gas when I go around a turn. Please help. I don't know what's happing. I didn't replace canister. Just installed a 255 walbrogh kit from modern.

      i think the pump is not seated correctly in the canister/ not centered in the lower seal pull it and try again ive seen this before

    what are the stock pumps in a regular srt4 and what is it in a stage 3? are they the same?

      Same the regular is what is different thats the metal part sticking out.

      This car had a stock setup, this video is just 255lph pump install in the stock canister

      the sending unit could have failed will do this if using e85 it could be the fuel sending wire is grounded some where but unlikely that's the issue you can check the gauge by holding down the trip reset when keying on the car release the reset when the needles move, this will eliminate a faulty gauge

      @@Mattsneedforspeed i still have the gauge reading full this was after replacing the pump now i’m having a fuel leak issue 6 months later from the fuel like with the blue tab 😿😿

      @@iiceeyy_3432 sounds like a bad fuel sending unit, it’s possible the orings in the line got damaged or the clip is not holding it on tight enough
