As a student pilot, I'll admit I was terrified the first couple of flights. But after I let my emotions go and took a deep breath, everything became un-real and beautiful up there. Now there is no fear what-so-ever.
Before watching this playlist I wasn't worried about my flight to Spain in July. Now I am feeling anxious about flying across the ocean. Why is this? Thanks!
I really enjoyed this video. It was all really good advice for any kind of fear. I especially liked the advice of small goals that you want to happen, instead of just saying 'I need to stop being scared of this thing'
So well done. I love what the RUclips is evolving. Seeing people like John and hank green go from vlog brothers 2.0 to crash course and "all the jobs" and Rhett and link and the content they're doing and The
this is such a great video. i think there's so much about what dr. james says that is so very true and hard to really be with in a way (questions about the awareness of our own mortality, the lack of control, the relation between our minds and bodies). what he says applies to so many other things too other than airplanes. i really liked the tone of your conversation with him, and like any great convo, it's really making me think and reflect a great deal.
I'm a pilot, and once i stopped flying for 2 years due to a medical condition. When i resumed flying, when i went solo, i had some really intense fear. I had never been afraid of flying before. It was weird!
I feel moved to write a really long comment about what I consider to be the true profundity of this video. But first I'm going to add it to my favorites and watch it again.
I LOVE flying. Maybe I'm just good at getting over fears by thinking about it logically. Like when I'm going on a scary theme park ride I remind myself that these machines are even safer and more fail-proof than airplanes. I've never actually had a fear of flying. It's just always been something wonderful and amazing and I've known that planes are extremely safe and that aircraft accidents are actually REALLY rare.
If you're worried about not being in control, just remember that the people who are in control know what they are doing, are very competent, highly trained, and are doing a much better job in control than you could ever do. All you have to do is trust other people.
This is great. Also, the first thing that caught my attention was the Jack Daniels in his hand at the beginning.... I think there should be a brand of whiskey called Wheezy Waiter Whiskey... just sayin'
im always scared of the taking off and landing when im in a plane. but when im in the air I think its fun especially if theres a lot of wind because then the plane goes up and down and it feels like an amusement park ride :)
I'm afraid of heights, but not afraid of flying (which is, obviously, quite high)... unless I look out the window. I'm still not actually afraid of the flying then... but it's the closest I get.
I have tried everything but when we had to go through an airport to get tot the train station I refused to even go near and airport... I can't get rid of this stupid fear
Do it. My cousin is starting an online marketing company, we'll make it sell. That, or we'll drink it all and have nothing to sell. Can I be a test taster? Taste tester? How does that go? What I mean to say is, give me whiskey...
Thanks for being a part of the episode!
Happy to help and be part of The Good Stuff Craig :)
Thank you for spreading the word!
These videos are just so great. I could see them being used as classroom aids... but kids actually paying attention and being interested in them!

Thanks for letting me be a part of the episode!
I think everyone needs to take a minute just to try to get this channel around youtube. There are soo many people missing out.

I never want to sleep on a plane, because I'm always too busy staring out the window at everything I couldn't see from the ground. I love flying :D

LOL! Craig on a triceratops made my day. And Matt's drinking & flying problem needs some attention.

I gotta tell ya, zero gravity is actually really fun. If this terrible thing ever happens to you, maybe you should just try to enjoy it?
Oh Craig, you look so dapper.
love it
I actually had a fear of flying then I got on a plane for the first time an loved it.
Interesting..........VERY Interesting
I've never been on a plane, and this video makes me want to. I don't have a fear of heights so I feel like I wouldn't be scared of flying
Do you guys do any events in chicago?
You should.
i lost it at the snake eating the plane, my sides went flying
This is great. Also, the first thing that caught my attention was the Jack Daniels in his hand at the beginning.... I think there should be a brand of whiskey called Wheezy Waiter Whiskey... just sayin'
I really liked the interview with the psychoanalyst, since I want to become a psychologist, and be able to help people. How did you find him Wheezy?
im flying july 3rd, good video
Freakin' love the guy!
I love flying ,even want to be a pilot!
im always scared of the taking off and landing when im in a plane. but when im in the air I think its fun especially if theres a lot of wind because then the plane goes up and down and it feels like an amusement park ride :)
Wo - woah... I just got back from watching one of your vids to find your comment. Had no idea you liked Wheezy Waiter :D
I'm afraid of heights, but not afraid of flying (which is, obviously, quite high)... unless I look out the window. I'm still not actually afraid of the flying then... but it's the closest I get.
I'm much more afraid of drunk Matt flying my plane than I am of a giant snake
Fears are some scary things.
that psychoanalyst is really smart!
Now I'm afraid of now!
I know flying is safe but all I worry about is panicking on a plane
what camera did you film this with
to me turbulence is fun like a roller coaster.
I have tried everything but when we had to go through an airport to get tot the train station I refused to even go near and airport... I can't get rid of this stupid fear
Drunk Pilot Matt needs his own skit. XD
High School week should happen.
Man, that psychiatrist is so calming.
Life lessons
This is my new favorite show. Also you look like a villain in that black suit.
Hmmmm, I think you might have something there. *applies for trademark*
Danger is real, fear is a choice! FUCK YEAH!
This show is like Vsauce, except you understand Craig & they stay on the topic that they are talking about.
+Garrett Lyon Craig is basically Michael without the glasses ayway
what happened to the video at 3:30 ???
why did no one explain how you can fly for 30 days
nice suit craig
When he said 'anything can happen', I was thinking this is explosion Wednesday.
Only weakness i see in this playlist : no mention of the fact that airplanes are polluting as hell.
Planes in a Snake - An original film by Craig
This is the reason why I'm scared of heights.
Soo.. Today is Tuesday and the guy said implosion, I'm just gonna jump to conclusions here and say...
Explosion Wednesday is coming back!!
I am
Wheezy Whiskey, maybe?
once my mom was on a plane and she had a bad feeling about flying then the jet blew out and started smoking. they landed safely however

How about just Wheezy Whiskey? Its catchier.
The music makes me kinda want to sleep. I think it'd make me more interested if it was like the music in Vsauce. That's just me, though.
For a second I read "Overcoming a Fear of Lying" ... O.o
No, I established that I am wise.
Cars, meteorites, trains Wait meteorites!
Shouldn't you see a psychologist for CBT instead of psychoanalysis? It was my impression that psychoanalysis wasn't the best for this situation...
HOW DID YOU GET TOP COMMENT ON TWO OF THESE VIDEOS?
Well, everyone who has ridden a meteorite died.
There's a new w w w in town and it doesn't stand for World Wide Web.
So did Mark ever get Bill Murray to have dinner with him?
damn ur the top comment on all these videos o.o
3:28 I fucking lost it..
