I fully agree that 2023 Dior Homme Parfum is every bit as good and as the original 75 ml version. But like many have experienced, my 2023 bottle did not perform well fresh out of the box. It was weak and rather one-note. I let some air get into the bottle by spraying it several times, then put it aside for about six months. The transformation was remarkable! What I now have is every bit as potent and complex as the vintage. It seems that the new bottles just need a little time to mature.
The batch codes on my bottles are 4W02 and 3F02 for my 2014 and 2023 bottles, respectively. And yes, the formulation codes on both boxes are the same.

This seems to be the case with many fragrances nowadays. I guess brands are rushing to fill stock. This has been my experience with countless fragrances. Sometimes I can’t believe how much stronger fragrances get after letting them sit for a little. Notes like vanillin really get deep and rich 6 to 12 months later.
Thans for the response. The very same thing happened to me with the new Dior Homme Sport. My bottle happens to be a very early production batch, but purchased more recently. When I first opened and sprayed it, the citrus in the top was screechy and overwhelming. Couldn't understand why, because it wasn't that way with the tester at the store. Well not six months later, it has settled down considerably. Now it's perfectly blended to my nose, and currently one of my favorite bottles to reach for. Cheers! @muskup2

also, I noticed you mentioned "3002" as batch code. Inspecting it closer, does it perhaps state "3C02" owing to human error?
Not sure. I’d have to check. Hard to see the batch with the wrapping on, but I’m pretty sure it’s still a 2023 batch. Edit* took a closer look. It does look like a C, and checkfresh.com says batch 3C02 has a production date of 3/23. Hope that helps
The formula code has nothing to do, in dior homme intense newest batches the formula is the same than for ej 2018, but the difference is big in performance!.check it and you will see. Cheers bro!
Maceration has everything to do with it. You can't. compare 2018 bottles to 2024 bottles with though they have the same formulation. The word reformulation is pretty explicit

Hey man would I be better off just getting the Intense? Not sure if the slightly tweaked Parfum justifies twice the price of the Intense?
You’re not wrong. Personally for me, I prefer the buttery smoothness in intense compared to the parfum.

The 2018 it's the best from your bottles. The 2019 75 ml has been changed a bit already. The 2018 it's jammy, ripped blackberry, syrupy, mollasses. The batches after are more rich in the roses

Dior is a house that follows strict EU regulations. They’ve changed formula codes countless times for other fragrances. In my opinion there’s no reason to believe dior is lying about their formula codes. That’s just how I see it. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
What do we get from all this fuss?! We get thqt Dior must update its counterfeit protection cause people are definitely buying fakes. The fakes have gone waaay to far in terms of copying the boxes and bottles... 99% identical

New batches are always going to be "fresh" compared to old ones that had the time to macerate. Put your 2024 bottle away for a few months and it will as strong as the 2014 bottle! Dior homme parfum has not been reformulated!
