I have the same bottle as you have, the Eau de Toilette is written at the back with 80%. Probably from 1980s formulation, i also found the code inside the tin neck cover under the atomizer. One of the best masculine fragrance!

Just received a bottle of a July 2024 batch of DHP and was left a little disappointed (All I could get on the nose was heavy rose and some violet with very little other notes (no lipstick powder/iris)). I have two bottles of the Dior Homme Intense and love them immensely. The batch code (08642/A) is the same as you mention in the video. Do I need to let this bottle macerate a few weeks/months before it settles? Thanks!

I agree ambroxan can be tricky, it has almost metallic kind of synthetic sharpness to it, like u said reminds you of nailpolish. I get that with Juliette Has a Gun scents. PDM Valaya has that same quality to my nose. I would love to sample this one though. Thank you for the review!

You need to try the new esprit version, it’s essentially a completely different fragrance but goddamn is it amazing, I almost like it better than the original. Usually not a huge fan of Francis’ work, but he made something special with the extrait

I agree with you on the line overall, it’s definitely one of the most complete fragrance lines in the mainstream designer market. That said, I agree that the prices are very high for what we’re getting from the designer market and niche market as well. I know I’m in the minority here but I do prefer the 2025 over the original on smell and versatility. I was never a massive fan of DHP original as most of fragcomm is. I’m sure we will get an “elixir” version of DHP 25 down the road.. When it comes to Francis Kurkdjian he’s just doing what he’s told to do I highly doubt he has the creative freedom that some folks think he has.
